Piloting stories? Well I got a ton of them.

Wow, they must hire incompetents at ITS. What was her cargo worth?

I think they were in the Core.
The further to the Rim you go, the more savy the Pilots are. In the Core, those Imp Pilots haven't got a thing to worry about. Their skill stagnates due to a lack of challenge.

I guess the Star Galleon was on its lonesome. You'd think the Imps would learn that no matter how well armed you make a freighter, you need an escort.

On my last cruise with the Far Orbit before her captain retired, we hit an Imperial Treasure ship. It was using a secret hyperspace route we found out about on a raid on Brentaal.
Even then it was escorted by a Nebulon B.

It’s a custom modification that we do to that model of ship. The things can carry so much cargo we don’t really miss the pods. We switch the location of the bridge and hyper capable cargo pod. You know, cut out the bridge, put the cargo pod in it’s place and rig bridge controls in to it. Buy another cargo pod; rig it with secondary bridge controls. Normally we just use it as an escape pod when the ship gets fracked up. It was just one of those rare opportunities that came along where I could kick Boba Fett off my ship with out having to fight him.

A truly bright imperial commander would group the galleons in a convoy and put a destroyer or two on escort duty.

Nice to see you Cale. What you've been up to anyway?

Not too much. You?

And this Galleon, the Emperor's Will, was primarily expecting secrecy to do her job. She was carrying a shitload of precious art, valuable materials, and spices destined for the Emperor's vaults. The value of the haul came out to 400 million credits, enough cash for the Captain to retire and the rest of us to fill out our terms on the ship.

Not much got a part time job at the moment, I'm still waiting for a response on some of my grad school applications.

You got any paper and pen gaming sessions planned. I've been mighty bored recently.

I got one running actually.
The Dawn of Defiance campaign in the Outer Rim.
If you got the Saga book, you can join.

I meant outside of gaia stare

And I haven't yet decided to pick up the Saga Edition. I'm kinda tempted to look at D20 modern and future stuff. Been watching some Anime I'm finding online. You ever watch Crest of the Stars or Banner of the Stars?

If you got at least one more person I'm always up for a game.
The b***h is the drive.
I also own the D20 modern and future books.
And I watched a bit of Crest of the Stars. Not bad but never got around to watching the whole series.

The depiction of space combat around Space Time Bubbles is an interesting take on the whole idea of hyperspace. Also makes it rather interesting when you realize that the majority of combat occurs within hyperspace, the opposite of most every series.

It's interesting when you're downloading stuff via torrent. You can tell a shows popularity by how quickly it downloads. Gundam series (I've revised my opinion of Gundam after seeing MSG 00 and SEED, it is capable of greatness... and lameness, sometimes within the same series) downloads very fast. Crest and Banner download at a snail's pace.

I haven't got anyone around that interested in gaming right now. But the drive isn't a problem. I'm out of the Audi and in a Mitsubishi Sports-sedan. A ten year old car, probably worth 30-40K new. I got for 4k smile

Me like my Zeke. It's shocking comfortable on those 400-500 mile trips I've made up to South Dakota with it, so getting to you should be no problem.

Nice haul! I hit one of those treasure ships out in the Tapani sector. Had the Kaiburr crystal aboard with a lot of other nice things.

Well, I might be able to arrange something this weekend then if you don't mind the trip.
How's just a random trip into the Knights of the Old Republic sound?

That'd be fine, but I won't be able to make it till Saturday night. I've got to work from 1:30 to 4:30... So it'd be fairly late by the time I get there. Send me a PM with your current address, not sure if it's changed since last time.

I've been playing around quite a bit with solar sail ships with some stuff I'm writing. I'm tempted to create a fleet command character for the current Gaia RP. Hand him some solar sail lineships and give it a go.

Who makes solar sails in Star Wars anyway?
