The Mountain

Almirrah turned and looked at the helpless heap of bloody flesh. Her mouth opened a bit, revealing large pointed teeth that leeked with saliva. Her eyes turned a glowing maroon as she dashed at the dead goat.
Several of its organs were still full of fresh blood, so she tore at them.

After a while, she lifted her head and let the red substance drip throughout her thick coat. Then she shook to dry it off. Lastly, she sat down on a legde and began grooming herself. "Thank you" she told Slighter, biting at a knot in her fur. She licked her paw and ran it from the back of her head to her snout.

 

[Slighter]

Slighter looekd at her and sighed. "Hungry?" He said ahs blood squirted onto his fur and looked down at it. She must be. He thought to himself has she sat down back to hi side and groomed her self. " Good?" Slighter smilled looking at the dead goat half eaten already. Slighter then turned around and headed under a tree ahs he looked up at the sky with the clouds coming in. "Its going to rain." Slighter said has he stepped out fo the tree chewing on tree sap.

"Rain is good" Almirrah said, nearly finished with her cleaning. "It makes the rocks slippery, decreasing prey's chance of escape. It's also quite refreshing" she finished. She got up to shake her tail a bit.
"Oh and the goat was superb! Thank you so much!" she grinned, her vampiric teeth still stained with the goat blood.

 

[Slighter]

Slighter noded and smilled. "Your welcomed, and i agree the rain is refreshing and Easier to hunt." Slighter Replied has he trurned around and spit out the Sap and walked to the other end of the moutain.

[Canae]

Canae walked beside the edge of the territory(sp?) She didn't want to cross the boundary just to be rejected by another pack. She desparately need a place to call home.

Almirrah followed Slighter to the higher elevation. The scent of pine stung her nose, and she snorted. She found a patch of grass and so lay down upon it, watching a few insects crawl away form her presence. She mercilessly pierced one with her sharp claw, then blew it away...

She sighed and lay her head down upon the grass, attempting to rest. She saw the glimpse of another wolf in the distance. Imediately, she stood up on all fours and lowered her head, trying to get a better look at the other wolf...

 

[Slighter]

Slighter looked At her laying down and sighed. " You like bugs." Slighter said ahs he looked below at a wolf climbing the moutain.

[Canae]

Dru walked around the trees untill she came across a patch of yellow flowers. She sneezed as the pollen rushed up her nose. Her sneeze created a vibration through the flowers which sent more pollen through the air. Since she had nothing else better to do, she decided to chase the cloud of pollen.

Almirrah didn't answer Slighter, she was consentrating on the wolf.

"Do you see that wolf?" she asked, her eyes fixed on the distant figure. "Why don't we drop by and spook her? Or figure out seomthing else to do?"

 

[Slighter]

Slighetr shook his head. "She will run for cover in the moutain caves. There we will amke are move." Slighter said ahs the rain pourd down lamost instanly after he finished talking.
 

[applz]

A downpour of rain fell over Almirrah, leaving her soaking wet. She let out an annoyed breath. "So much for grooming". Again, she shook her fur to help dry. Then she ran towards Slighter's tree for shelter. "Which cave?" she asked, looking at the mountains.

 

[Slighter]

Slighter stood up and walked down a small ledge and ihnto a ark cave where He use to hide. "Here." Slighter yelled out ahs he looked down at the wolf.

Dru stopped as soon the rain began to poor. She looked dumbfoundly at the sky and wondered how nature could work the way it did. As she sat there, memories of her old pact drifted back to her head. Rain was never a good thing for her.

Almirrah followed Slighter. She hardly made a sound because of her gravity-defying weight.
