As Typhlosion continued to work on his chili, I continued on, trying to figure up what to write in the letter. Thing of it, I wasn't sure as to what to write exactly beyond my initial apology with Miles. Tristen was continuing to feed the newly hatched Blitzle its head of lettuce, though it was getting full rather quick at this point.

RC sighs and lets out a puff of smoke. " I hate to say it, but as long as you are a Snagem, a region will always be under threat, enemies will never play fair, and actions you take will more and likely cause more harm than good. It is knowing that in the end, that the region is safe, the current threat thwarted, and you have done all you can to make sure what was undone has been fixed or replaced, is what keep you from too much regret. And yes, I am speaking from experience." the Hybrid explains to the young man.
"Don't me something I don't know." Sub said with a laugh. "Any who...I'm sure you got a good feel on the meteorite's chi now, right? Think you could help hunt them down?" He asked him.

RC takes a deep draw on his Kiseru and exhales a large cloud of smoke. " Well, considering I was the one to shatter that big rock in the first place, I think it's the least i can do. Where do we head first?" RC says, then asks of Sub.
"Snowpoint City." Sub simply said. "It seems they are already experiencing the effects of a meteorite fragment, allegedly a Beartic going on a rampage due to its influence, how a Beartic got there I don't know." Sub explained. "All I know is GRAY picked up a chi signature similar to the meteorite's near Snowpoint. I know the cold isn't your prefered climate but we need to find the fragment there." He said as he took out his SNAG and sent a message to the others to meet in Snowpoint. "I won't rest until I find it."

I was in a bit of a trance, thinking on what to write next, until the train of thought was instantly derailed by the noise from my SNAG. I took it out and gave it a read-over. Snowpoint City. "I better go on this one for sure..." I said, getting up from the table to stash the letter real quick before leaving.

Keiko didn't know what to say. She had really stumbled into the Beedrill's nest this time! "I'm... I-I'm sorry! I didn't know, I mean... I-I promise not to say... anything. I... it's not like I get out much anyway - except for work, of course."

She seemed really upset and a little frightened about having wondered into a secret cop hideout.

"Nah! It's all good." Lykas assured as he picked up one of the Cheri berries and offered it to the girl.

"Long as Sub doesn't find out and get all pissy." Odd noted with a laugh.

"Sub? Mad?" Lykas gave Odd an incredulous look. "b***h, please!" He waved the other male's comment off as if it had never been made.

"Right, right. Expect the worst with Sub and everything turns out better than expected. It's a fact." Odd noted in return.

"Anyhow, I'm Lykas and this is my boyfriend, Odd." The blue-haired boy introduced, offering a polite bow to Keiko. Odd gave a curt nod in greeting as he leaned back on the counter near him.

Keiko smiled at the topic of nobody worrying about her tresspassing, and even accepted the berry given to her by the cute-looking blue-haired boy. However, she almost spat the berry back out when Odd mentioned boyfriend.

"Boyfriend? Lykas is a girl?"

Oh brother.

Oh brother.

"..........."

"..........."

Odd gave Lykas a look and grabbed the boy's hands before he could move them. "Don't you dare!" He glared at the younger male.

"Fiiiiiiiine!" Lykas groaned in annoyance.

"Actually, we're gay." Odd explained over his shoulder. "And yes, that means we're both boys." He added, making sure to keep Lykas' hands held in place. He could just see the younger stripping them both as proof. But as long as those hands were contained, he should be safe.

"I, uh..." Keiko stuttered. "How does THAT work?"

Keiko stood up and rubbed her forehead a bit. The Cheri Berry was kicking in, and working, although her biggest concern was considering how two guys could make love. She just couldn't figure it out.

"We'll send you a video." Odd laughed.

"Discounted, even." Lykas agreed with his own laugh.

"You'll probably want to make sure you're alone when you watch it."

"We nothing less than R-rated."

Odd rolled his eyes at his lover and playfully smacked him in the back of the head. "I'm pretty sure this one would get banned by the censors, crazy."

"Yes I am!" Lykas admitted proudly, offering a goofy grin to go along with the jovial tone in his voice.

Keiko couldn't help but giggle at their offer, but she wasn't sure if that was something she wanted to see. "That's alright. Thanks though. So, uh... I... don't really know how to thank you for helping me out like this. Uh..."

"You don't have to worry about repaying us." Odd assured.

"Ya. You're just lucky we're not the kind of people who'd take advantage of finding a paralyzed girl on their doorstep." Lykas added.

"Looks like she's pretty lucky she was wearing that massive backpack, too." Odd pointed out. "I bet it caught her when she fell so it's probably the main reason she isn't hurt that badly." He added.

"Good point." Lykas agreed as he looked at said backpack more closely. "How do you carry this thing around? It must kill your back....."

"Yeah, let's not go there," Keiko said to Lykas with a smile. "Once is too much as it is."

Before Lykas can ask her what that means, however, Odd's mention of her backpack fills her with worry. She immediately starts unzipping it, and reveals a slightly cracked Pokemon Egg. Keiko rubs the crack and pouts. "I was afraid of that," she said mournfully, as though on the verge of tears.

What Keiko didn't know, yet, was that the crack was not a result of her landing on the egg.

"What's that about?" Lykas would ask, referring both to Keiko's comment as well as the egg.

"Uh oh....." Odd grimaced at the sight of the egg. "What in the world are you doing with a Pokemon Egg in your backpack? It's a better idea to carry it so you can see it so this doesn't happen." He commented as he leaned down to look at the egg. "Hm? Well that's good!" He sounded quite happy all of a sudden. "You'll be glad to know that this egg is just fine." He assured Keiko as he looked down at it. "Whatever's inside is still alive and well." He assured. He could sense it's spirit in there, although barely. But it was a soon-to-be-newborn, so how strong could it's soul be at this point?

"She was a reward for a completed job, the one I just completed, in fact," Keiko said sadly, to the point of almost moaning. It goes without saying that she assumed the baby pokemon to be female. "The client said it was a rare pokemon, too. I won't keep her with me once she hatches, since my parents won't let me raise pokemon yet, but I was gonna have them raise it until they're ready to let me go."

Keiko perked right up when Odd told her that the egg was okay. She put the egg down to reach out and hug him, but she stopped herself on her way to him, remembering that he preferred boys. "I'm very happy to know that," she offered instead, with a smile, before picking the egg back up.

"Ooooooooh." Lykas gave the egg a look before looking back to Odd. "It's creepy how you do that now." He noted.

"Sorry. I haven't figured out how to shut it off, yet. As if it has an off switch." Odd replied with a bit of sarcasm. "I'm sure Amaya will teach me out to turn the creepy senses off sooner or later, though. Until then, we'll have to deal with it." He sighed. He had to admit, feeling everyone's souls was a bit tiring but he did have his next training exercise to look forward to. Maybe he'd learn how to control it better then?

Lykas gave Keiko a strange look when she stopped from hugging Odd. "Wassamatter?" He asked, crossing his arms in front of his chest. "Just because we're gay doesn't mean we don't appreciate a hug once in a while."

Odd laughed lightly at the girl's awkwardness. "You're new to the concept aren't you?" He asked, already knowing the answer from her previous question.
