Actually anyone that considers Star Trek V a good film really misses the point of Star Trek. The Best of Star Trek:

Star Trek II: Wrath of Kahn
Star Trek: First Contact
Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country

The Worst of Star Trek:

Star Trek: The Motion Picture
Star Trek V: The Final Frontier
Star Trek: Insurrection

I saw First Contact. It was the 1st time I got to see any post-TNG Picard/Enterprise related things.

I don't care for the more like-colored uniforms though. It's easier to distinguish people's areas when the entire torso section stands out.

That, and there's not enough marines.

In my own fanfic, my main character is a marine with her 1st officer being the Starfleet liason.

I take it she's a Caitian or some kind of Green skinned woman?

Yeah, she's an Orion Slave Girl turned war hero turned Romulan consort...

lol, no actually.

She's half human, half El-Aurian. Her father's a decorated Admiral, and she's one of the best marines. She's 29 at the start of the fanfic, but because of her El-Aurian traits, still looks like she's barely an adult. One specific detail about her is her physical appearance. Her right eye is blue, and her left eye is red. ( Cybernetic. She lost her real one in a prior battle with a traitor to the Federation while chasing him down. She specifically wanted it red to stand out to remind herself to not repeat her past mistakes. )

Also because of her El-Aurian traits, she's got minor psychic abilities, but nothing she can really control, starting with just random psychic dreams every so often. Eventually though, she gets the attention of the Q Continuum, who decide she could be one of them, and during her career she starts to hone her skills on the side.

After the Borg nearly destroy the Federation, the Klingons turn enemies once the Romulans make peace with the Feds and become allies, and other BS goes on, she's been Borg'd but with a weird side effect that makes her an unstoppable uber commando until she's un-Borg'd, and has several instances where the Q force her hand to progress her inevitable Q-dom.

In the end, it's 300-ish years later and she retires from the Federation's forces, and joins the Q Continuum.

I still think my Chaos Radar's " Borg " function is the best.

Nothing beats randomly contacting the Borg, then blowing them up from afar by warping a live warhead right into them.

lol... thats like the Janeway corollary to Star Trek Borg episodes.

If Janeway is in it the Borg are suddenly flying ships made of wood, if two Janeways are in it the Borg are flying origami cubes of paper.

I'm just staying the hell away from the Star Trek discussion. Trust me, I don't have anything useful to bring to this conversation.

If a group of Zeltron women and a guy go into a room, and nobody gets naked, something's seriously wrong.

I guess Oni just doesn't like that Data kicks the bucket in Nemesis. In order of Best to Worst.

1. Star Trek II: Wrath of Kahn *A masterpiece, best watched with a copy of Shakespeare's works.
2. Star Trek VIII: First Contact *The Borg at their finest. Must watch.
3. Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country *To be or not to be? Well it is.
4. Star Trek IV: The Journey Home *It did too much LDS in College.
5. Star Trek X: Nemesis *A remake of II, but still very entertaining.
6. Star Trek (XI) *Still an odd, not Star Trek, but very watchable.
7. Star Trek VII: Generations *A turkey, but a well executed one
8. Star Trek III: The Search for Spock *What? That Klingon is from Back to the Future!
9. Star Trek IX: Insurrection *Ugh... it's just so bland.
10. Star Trek I: The Motion Picture *2001 + Kirk, Spock, and McCoy. Take a pillow.
11. Star Trek V: The Final Frontier *Star Trek kills God. End Statement.

I just wish they'd done some movie based on the DS9 cast... love the Dominion as enemies.
