History:
Evelyn was a girl living out her life. Friends, family, school, work, hopes, dreams, and love. After falling in love with her pen pal, writing constantly for 7 years (since 12) she finally flew to B.C., Canada, with friends to meet him. Little did she know she would not return to Toronto, as the old Evelyn at least. While there she also ran into someone she knew from her past, an english tutor she had in Romania before she moved to Canada, 9 years ago. Sorina, the tutor, seemed different now however Evelyn didn't think much of it. She and her pen pal fell in deepest of loves, however she happened to be at the wrong place and time to witness a murder at the hands of "The Syndicate" - a gang of mafiosi. James, former pen pal now fiancee, was part of The Syndicate because he was blackmailed for about two years now. When asked to remove her from the equation he couldn't, so both began the run of their lives. When caught, Evelyn jumped in the way taking a bullet meant for James.
Around the scene at the time a vampire and shapeshifter were present, currently escaping some enemies. By chance it happened that the vampire was Evelyn's former tutor. Once Evelyn saved her life; to return the favour she now did the same. Evelyn was changed and and taken under her wing for a while. The same night Sorina parted from her mate for a while. The shapeshifter rescued James and kept him close for safety. They both kept in touch and decided Evelyn would not be allowed to see him for 1 or 2 years from the present time. Waking up as a newborn, Evelyn tore most of the Syndicate apart. To this day she still tracks down members, to eliminate the threat to James, who in her judgement must remain human at all costs. One by one the members of "The Syndicate" fell, and as closer Evelyn gets to finishing her mission, her torment of wishing to be human again only grows.
She goes around calling herself the "White Camelia." Fitting for she is born of a white camelia, what she considers her mother to be, who aptly is named Camelia. Her mother's favourtite camelia flowers were white. In memory Evelyn got a tattoo of a white camelia on her back (what The Syndicate were first able to identify her with...). She roams around the world tracking the mafiosi members who have scattered. She has grown quite lonely. She would have a friend in God, who she loves. However as of late she has distanced herself from Him ashamed of what she has become.

Evelyn walked thinking about her next move. Now that she reached her destination she would have to go and talk with some of the locals. Maybe they could match the new profile and descriptions she received of who apparently might be Gustave to someone. Then again ... IF Gustave was no longer human would he truly let himself be known by them? Her last contact had been vampire which made a world of difference. Would he associate with humans? If he ... she clenched her teeth. If he was a vampire, especeally a newborn, his strength would now logically be greater than hers. Sorina had explained this to her among many things. It had been a little over a year since Evelyn changed. Her newborn boost of strength now faded away. If Gustave was a vampire now all she could hope for was that he would have been one for as long as she had. It didn't matter either way however. There was only one end to this story, and he would not be in it. She would track him down no matter where he would be. Wether it was open among the public, hidden in a hole underground, or even left into space. There was no place he could escape her. Life did not have room for them both. Out of the whole Syndicate she despised Gustave the most. The right hand of Victor, their leader. She smiled to herself, remembering how Victor's blood tasted on her tongue, on her lips, how it trailed down her chin, and dripping on her neck. She grinned remembering the flashback like it had happened just yesterday. Her first kill. Her most accomplished. Back then she thought Gustave was dead. They all did. A great comfort at that. Though they were deceived. Even though he was supposed to be dead ... he wasn't. Clenching her fists she walked forward, hearing the cry of a despaired animal between the flaps of a bird's wings. Shrieking in terror. It sounded like a rodent.
Trying to procastinate entering human territory Evelyn looked up. A hawk came into view above, dropping a rat from it's talons with a loud cry. Evelyn smelled drawn blood. Two different scents. Both the rat's and the hawk's. The rat fell in a pile of leaves, the hawk beginning a descent for it's prey again. It would be unsuccesful she decided jumping into the hawk's face snarling. The frightened bird flew away quickly. Evelyn inspected the leaf pile, picking out the little rat. She was a young gray female. Adorable. Her blood did not seem to attract Evelyn much. Evelyn remembered how in the past she used to have pet rats. It seemed like such a long time ago. She used to be so attached to the little guys. Naturally she would nurse and nurture this one back to health. She smiled, she would have a companion for a while. Closely inspecting the unconscious victim she noticed cuts and a broken leg. This would take some time to heal, however she had a very long time ahead of her from now on. She needed a break, Evelyn thought.
An hour later the little rat's leg was splinted with pieces of wood with the hair tie Evelyn kept on her wrist. Sitting under a tree cross legged, Evelyn watched the sunset on a hilltop. For the first time in a long while, she was not doing this alone. She smiled.

The little rattie was very warm in her hands. At first Evelyn kept thinking that usually most things were warmer than her own self. Now she remembered how warm things usually were. The animals she hunted, the humans she came in contact with, all of them had a particular warmth and that was to be expected. This little one was much warmer than them. Warmer than the mountain lion by far. She gazed at the little one in her arms again. The cuts ... were half healed already. How? How was this possible? The more she thought about it the more she noticed how off the heat was. It couldn't be right, but, what did she know? Maybe she was over analyzing. Possible. There were still many things she was adjusting to in her new life. Besides the warm things she did come in contact with did not stay within it for very long. Perhaps she seemed more warm than others because of the extended time she had been held. That still didn't explain the healing cuts. It wasn't that big of a shock ... Evelyn could heal cuts herself. Instantaneously as a matter of fact though that was a different story altogether. Vampires did this she was aware though she never saw an animal ... could it be? A vampire rat? Evelyn laughed aloud. What a silly idea. The rat bled warm blood which circulated around it's system by the beating heart Evelyn clearly could hear. It smelled very much alive. The alive she knew in her past life. Out of context entirely. Though it did not bother her to finally worry about something else for a change than just hunting.
"I promise I'll take care of you little one. I'll help you get better don't you worry..." she wished the rat would come around soon. She had been sleeping for quite a while. Her breathing was fine. Evelyn then did something she had not done since she was human. She sang. In a low, quiet voice, she sang a Romanian song she used to know for her little new friend. Evelyn herself was enveloped in nostalgia. She shut her eyes, leaning her head back against the tree. Singing over and over again, song after song, for the rat, James, her mom, everyone and everything. More time passed by. About an hour later Evelyn looked down, where the rat shifted in her sleep. Maybe she was coming around? Evelyn stroked her little friend's soft fur. The cuts were gone. Evelyn hummed a bit more. In a few short moments the little rat opened her eyes with a deep breath. Evelyn smiled sweetly. "Good evening my little one."
YOU'RE A GIRL!!!
Evelyn was spoken to ... but heard no voice. Her eyes grew wide. The voice had been inside her mind. There was no way ... she must have immagined it. Even though her new body had no flaws in such a way.
My name's Kelly, what's yours? WAIT! THE BIRD! WHAT HAPPENED?!!! Kelly's eyes flattened against her head in shocking fear as she remembered the last moments before the present ...
