It is sad, I'm just glad that they came back and did well for Appleseed.
On another note, Clockwork Orange is one of the most ******** up pieces of film I've seen in a while.

Indeed. I was most pleased with it, but I haven’t watched the second Appleseed yet.

Clockwork Orange is one of my friends favorite movies, he sort ‘a burned me out on it. He likes movies like that, and Trainspotting and Gummo.
I love the new Appleseed. I have the old Appleseed movie as well.

Clockwork orange. I don't get it much, but Nelo enjoys it. something about "the debate over the freedom of will" or something. I think it's kind of stupdi. IT's just a movie about rape. But he'll just sit there and rant and rant about how it is supposed to show how people withotu the freedom of choice lose all humanity, and the cruelty of society against the week. Like some social darwinist movie or somethign.

Hey guys!
Sorry that I've been gone for so long. Aurin and I went down to Kansas to visit his dad before he went to Iraq. I had to come back early for school stuff, but Aurin won't be back till the weekend.
Anyways, sorry to all the people who had to wait on me for the RP, I'll head over there shortly and make a post.

Clockwork Orange was kinda wierd. I heard a lot of hype about how it was this portrayal of a really dark character (Alex) but for most of the movie he whined like a little ***** after his reconstruction therapy. Seemed too preachy for my tastes...

They're filming a movie on my campus, right down the street from my dorm. It has Brittany Murphy in it, apparently.

Clockwork orange is the story of a gang leader who gets set up by his fellow gangmembers to take the rap for raping a woman and beating her husband. He's a delinquent who gets off to beethoven's 9th, or 5th, one of the two.
Either way, they perform an experimental surgery on his brain, making him incapable of performing any kind of violence, and essentially forcing him to obey every command. The scientists force him to lick the s**t off their boots. His friends, now cops, beat him, strip him, rape him, and leave him to die. He's welcomed into a house, where the old man takes care of him. Turns out it's the same old man he beat up, and his wife died from the rape. The kid's identity gets shown, and the old fart reaps his vengence. He's pushed out of a window and is broken.
At the very end, he's in a hospital, where his tale has been told, about how he is unable to perform any cruel act, how he must obey any command. The scientists and doctors who did this are taken to court, but a smile cracks across his lips, as we learn that the final bit of violence beat his brain back into shape.
It's a lot like One Flew Over the Coocoo's nest. Individuality vs. Conformation. Freedom of Choice vs. the security of the nation. etcetera, etcetera. Ironically, I really like it due to the fact it's written in slang.
