Got a new phone today. Switched from Verizon to AT&T. Kinda sad about it, actually 'cause I liked Verizon... and my phone. But I got almost zero service on campus, so I needed to switch. Not sure how I feel about the new phone.

I dropped AT & T because towards the end of my last contract things were going to s**t, and replacements sucked a**.

I haven't been on much lately though because I've been busy, and pretty soon I'll be going to Anime Detour so I'll be busy with that..but how have you guys been?

My girlfriend has constructed some elaborate birthday scavenger hunt for me today. We'll see how it goes.

My girlfriend has constructed some elaborate birthday scavenger hunt for me today. We'll see how it goes.

She got the flu last night, so the scavenger hunt is postponed. But she still drove 40 minutes from home to campus to give me my birthday present (which I was upset about... her driving when she has the flu, not the present).

Her present: Two tickets to Explosions in the Sky next weekend in Colorado. She and I will be driving 19 hours (both ways) to Colorado to see the show. Staying in Omaha for one night (because it's halfway there) and a cute B&B in Colorado. She paid for everything. I just... I can't even... She's absolutely amazing.

First off, I've never been to a concert. Secondly, Explosions is probably one of my favorite bands of all time and I almost murdered my best friend last winter when there was a concert in Mpls for $20 and he didn't tell me about it.

Needless to say, I'm really f-ing excited.

EitS are fantastic and probably one of the most iconic post-rock bands out there, with the talent to back it up. I almost got to see them, but they had to cancel the show in Little Rock due to tornadoes. I got my refund fair, but I missed on an amazing show since they came back two weeks later when I was back in school.
