Hah, that made me think of Sophomore year. My first History teacher had that as his ringtone. When it rang during class, one guy said, "Hey, Coach, is that your girlfriend calling?" And he replied, "No, it's your Mom."

There was a math teacher that got fired from my best friend's highschool.

It was his senior year, and because of that, he missed the last week of school since seniors got out earlier. During that week, she got fed up with the idiots that egged her on all the time that she reared up her hand like she was about to smack one of 'em, and got fired for it.

I have no idea what specific details were involved. I heard it from him, and he heard it from the student she was about to smack some time later.

Hell, if that was teh case, I'd bitchslap the kid after school.

I think that she had other staff members in the classroom at times because she got real upset and they were all like, " WTF is going on here? " with the kids. I dunno. It was a crappy school anyways. My best friend kept saying how lucky I was with homeschooling so I didn't have to deal with the BS he did.

the BS is usually the best part of public schools. Gives you something to complain about when you don't know something.

I have mixed feelings with homeschooling.

For one, while most students perform better with homeschooling, their training is still limited by their instructor, whether it's a certified teacher, or mom
.

Also, you miss out on valuable social activities. Nothing quite replaces school, whether yu cover the good or bad aspects.

Most students perform better only on specific subjects. Many homeschoolers, however, are actually terrible when it comes to doing exams though, due to them never quite knowing pressure in a systematic format.

Still, if you want the best of both worlds, you aim for a magnet school. Though, with that in mind, one must also point out that magnet schools are also prone to difficulties and problems.

I almost joined a magnet school.

I ended up at the top-ranked public high school in the state of Louisiana. Despite the state being ranked 49th of 51 in overall school scores, this school was actually ranked pretty high on the national level (top 500 I believe).

Our class sizes were pretty small. The average was about 25, with the PE classes having close to 40, and the AP classes having as little as a handful.
