Picking up on the tone of her first reply, Reno just shook his head to call BS on it. Hearing her addition toner answer, he nodded his head thinking he knew everything now. "I'm glad ta 'ear tha. I missed ya too, Kairi. So it's good ta see ya join up." Reno may talk a good game, but when it came to anything beyond that, you'd get a more intelligent response from a Slowpoke. And so the not so subtler hints whizzed right past him.
Tsuki braced herself but was still taken to the ground by the little Pokemon. Looking to her stomach, she saw the Poison Pin Pokemon just sitting there.

Outside the cave system of Mt. Silver, a middle-aged man walked the forest with a Swablu fluttering along beside him. "Tweety, how in the world did we get lost this time?" He asked of the Swablu.
"Bluuuuuu!" Tweety responded as she came to rest on her master's shoulder.
"I swear this is the last time we go on vacation without a guide again." The man assured himself as the duo walked past a small cluster of trees. "I don't even know where we are anymore......" He admitted with a sigh of defeat. "Do you have any idea how far it is back to the hotel?"
"Bluu....." Tweety responded, heaving a defeated sigh of her own.
"At least there's a Pokemon Center up ahead. I can see the roof. Maybe they'll let us call back to the hotel or give us directions or something?" The man suggested as he headed towards the building he spied ahead.
"Blu blu!" Tweety agreed.
Both found themselves disappointed when they reached the center, however. A sign hung on the door, explaining the situation. "Closed for Ursaring mating season. Travelers should be wary in the forest and return to the next nearest center as soon as possible."
"Awwwww. That's not fair!" The man complained as he hung his head, truly feeling defeated now. "And if that's not enough, there are apparently dangerous Pokemon around here....We should probably find somewhere to camp for the night that they won't find us...."
"Blu swablu blu." Tweety agreed, pointing a wing at the mouth of a cave not far off.
"You think we'll be safe there?" Her trainer asked of her as he started that way. Her response left little room to argue. She obviously didn't care but figured the cave must be safer than the forest. "Ok, ok. Let's ok." He decided as he walked into the cave, surprised by the amount of natural light inside.

"Maybe I can test your abilities at a later time, then," Michael said, returning his guitar to its case before standing and glancing towards his Skitty, "For now though, it's time for our nightly training. Kitten, let's go."
Kitten glanced up from her playing and, gently, lowered the young Happiny to the floor before following Michael out the door, "In any case, I enjoyed talking with you, Keiko. Look forward to seeing you around here soon."
With a small wave, he made his way towards his room to put away his guitar before releasing his other three pokemon and rushing off towards the forest for training.

Although she hadn't entirely wanted him to realize what it was she was feeling, there was a part of her that had hoped he would pick up on what she was saying, and Kairi's heart sank a little. Her smile was gone now, her happy expression replaced with one that could almost be considered sadness. "You really don't truly understand, do you...?" her voice was so quiet that it would be difficult for anyone to pick up on it. She made no effort to speak louder, choosing to say silent now and stare at the floor. One hand reached up to play with the feather in her hair, her favorite keepsake. Her other hand reached out, grabbing one of Reno's hands in her own, wondering if he would be too oblivious to even realize the implications of such a simple gesture.
A happy squeak escaped from Renata as she lay on Tsuki's stomach. The small, rabbit-like pokemon reached out one paw, placing it on the Sneasel's face. The female Nidoran made a sound that could only really be compared to that of a giggle as she gazed down at the other pokemon's face from her current position.

Feeling the smaller hand grip his own, he followed the arm of the hand entwined with his. Seeing it was Kairi, he wondered to himself that maybe this was some kind of sign she liked him. Shaking his head, he cleared those crazy thoughts from his head as he turned to face Kairi. "So any particular reason you're 'oldin my 'and?" He gave this as an honest question. To tge people who haven't realized yet, Reno needs things to be direct for him to truly understand. He can get the gist, but he only acts on a sure thing.
Tsuki felt the little Nidoran stand on her face, before uttering A noise like a giggle. Feeling a little mean, she licked the paw on her face to see Renata's reaction.

"Huh...This is odd." The man with the Swablu noted when he entered the cave, finding a strange little indention in the wall. "I thought these were only in Hoenn....."
"Blu?" Tweety asked as she looked at it.
"Tweety, use Secret Power here." He told the little flying-type.
"Blu!" The little blue bird fluttered over and looked at the indent, focusing hard on that one spot as her whole body began to glow a bright pink before a small orb of pink energy formed in front of her, firing off into the indention. The wall seemed to absorb it and a mysterious clinking sound filled the air around them before the wall simply slid open like a door.
"I knew it!" The man declared as he walked inside and looked around. This one was a decent size and didn't seem to be all too crowded. He unpacked his laptop and set it on the floor before he started removing a few items from virtual storage. Setting out a feather bed, a table and a chair for morning, he decided it was time to go to bed.
"Let's turn in Tweety." It's late and we'll stand a better chance of finding out way back in the morning..."
With that, the duo did indeed turn in, with the man climbing into the feather bed and the Swablu curling up on his head like a fluffy cloud hat.

At Reno's question Kairi couldn't help but feel slightly angered. If looks could kill, than Reno would have been very dead from the harsh glare tossed his way from the red-headed girl. "You're an idiot, Reno.. If you can't even figure that much out on your own, then you don't deserve to know," her tone was harsh, venomous even. Kairi could be hostile, but never was she ever this hostile. She released Reno's hand, but not before digging her fingernails into his skin. Kairi moved slightly away from him, not wanting him near her now that she had truly realized just how oblivious he was. She had half a mind to call Renata over and send her after him, knowing that although the female Nidoran was small, she could pack quite the punch when it came to defending her trainer. She left the small pokemon alone though, not wanting to call her away from her fun.
Renata squealed at the feeling of Tsuki's tongue on her paw, removing her front paw from the Sneasel's face and waving it slightly away, as if to shake off any spit that might have cling to it. The look of shock on the Nidoran's face would have been enough to make anyone laugh.

Seeing the seething anger in her steely glare at him, Reno knew he made a wrong choice somewhere along the line. Unsure what to do, he merely kept his seat, unsure where to go now. Looking at his hand, he could see slight marks from where she had tried to claw him. Shaking his head, Reno wandered out into the main room. Spotting Keiko, he walked over and sat down next to her. "So 'ows Snagem life fer you, love? It alright?" He questioned, showing his genuine interest.
Tsuki gave a noise that to anyone nearby would identify as a laugh. Tge source of this laughter was the reaction of a certain Nidoran to getting her foot licked.

Kairi stared in disbelief as Reno walked away from her, just barely she could hear him talking to someone else. From the doorway she glanced over to where he was, sitting with a girl who's name she didn't know. It didn't seem like it would be possible for someone such as Kairi to get even more irritated, but she managed. She whipped around, stomping her feet as she walked over to where her Nidoran was sitting with Reno's Sneasel. The small pokemon squeaked as she was picked up by her trainer, placing her front paws against Kairi's face, pleading with her to let her stay with her friend. "I'm sorry Renata, but I need you. As soon as you help me out you can go back to playing," Kairi whispered, the rabbit-like pokemon just stared at her, nodding her head ever so slightly to show she understood what the red-headed girl had said. Renata sat patiently on Kairi's shoulder as she pulled out her other pokeball, letting out her other pokemon, a somewhat ragged looking Torchic with bandages wrapped around his stomach. "Alright you two, here's what you've gotta do..." her voice trailed off into a whisper, so as not to let anyone besides her two companions to hear her.
Both Renata and Zeke walked into the main room, wandering over to Reno as they were told. The small rabbit-y pokemon hopped up into his lap, nuzzling her face against one of his hands, her mouth opening ever so slightly before chomping down on his hand. Kairi watched from the doorway, smirking as her first companion completed her task. Zeke on the other hand, stood down by Reno's feet, unable to climb up into his lap. The small chick pokemon stood on his foot, turning his head to look at Reno. As it had been told to do, the small pokemon opened its beak to let loose weak, but still hot flames. Kairi grinned evilly as she watched. She hadn't sent either of her pokemon after the girl, only Reno. As far as she knew, the girl was innocent, it was Reno who had pissed her off anyways, he was the only one needed to be taught a lesson. Renata released Reno's hand, dashing away as quickly as possible and jumping into Kairi's outstretched arms.
The red-headed girl with the the single, golden eye stalked out of the kitchen, carrying Renata in her arms. Zeke ran back towards her as she came closer, standing before Reno, glaring at him in anger. There was one last thing she needed to do... Her hand raised, and swung forward, slapping Reno in the face for the second time that day. "That, Reno, is for being too oblivious to notice the girl who has been with you for years. The girl who has loved you for years. The girl who would give anything to stand by your side. You, Reno, are truly... an idiot," and with that she stalked off back into the kitchen, waiting to see or hear what would happen next. She held both of her pokemon in her arms, holding them close to her as she tried to hold back the tears that would would inevitably released no matter how hard she tried to hold them back.

By the time morning came, the secret base in the Mt. Silver cave had been sealed off and it's inhabitants were sitting by the water with a fishing rod in the human's hands. "Be glad I brought your food from home, Tweety." He suggested to his Swablu companion. "Otherwise we'd both be hungry right now." He admitted as he prayed a dish would bite soon. He was starving.
"I guess getting lost isn't a horrible turn of luck...." the man decided aloud. "We were planning on camping anyway and it could've been worse " he admitted as he finally felt a bite on his line. While he fought with his catch, Tweety found something of interest. A shiny-looking Pokeblock lay on the ground not far off. It looked delicious! She never thought twice about it as she hopped over a swallowed it down without hardly chewing.
Inside HQ, Lykas was tearing his room apart. "Odd! Have you seen my Shiny Pokeblock? I can't find it....."

Reno looked to the small Nidoran that had hopped on his lap. Content to leave it be, he felt it nuzzle his hand before it bit down. Wincing in pain, he would have uttered a curse and taken the little creature off his hand if a small stream of fire hadn't breezed his face. Feeling the little rodent release his hand, Reno looked to the wound on his hand. It wasn't leaking blood, but it looked very close to doing so. Checking his face, nothing was on fire but a minor burn might be on his cheek. Looking to the now advancing Kairi, Reno felt that this was somehow her doing.
Looking at the red-headed woman advancing with that Nidoran in her arms, Reno knew already something was gonna happen. Hearing her yelling and the slap on his new burns, he realized he had finally gotten her to admit she loved him. Reno would've given a fist pump if it weren't for the intense pain he was feeling or the need to follow after her. Sprinting into the kitchen, he found her both of her Pokemon in her arms. "I......'ad no idea you felt that way. Im sorry fer my obliviousness, love. Just glad I got ya ta admit ya love me." Reno took this chance to quickly put her into a hug, hoping to surprise her with it.

Kairi glanced over her shoulder, watching Reno carefully though her vision was obscured by the tears. A couple of them rolled down her cheek, having been unable to hold them back any longer. It had been quite some time since Kairi had allowed herself to cry, but these tears she couldn't stop, no matter how hard she tried. Renata reached up and licked a couple of the tears off of Kairi's face, trying to make her trainer feel better. Kairi was trying to find the right words to explain herself to Reno but was taken by surprise by the hug she was given. "Why are you hugging me..? Especially after I just hurt you..." her voice trailed off, more tears released and began to run down her face. Renata, still being held captive by her trainer, glared at Reno, making a sort of chattering noise at him, almost as if she was scolding him. The small Nidoran managed to squirm out of Kairi's arms and climb up onto her shoulder, staring Reno straight in the eyes. "Stop it Renata, he doesn't need you chattering at him." The Nidoran just glanced at Kairi for a moment, turning back to glare at Reno again before snuggling herself back into Kairi's arms, Zeke right beside her. Kairi was still trying to find the right words, any way for her to explain her actions. "I was never wanting to tell you that Reno... I was scared of losing your friendship if I did. I still am scared, but..." her voice trailed off again, and Kairi breathed in deeply before continuing, "but seeing you with someone else... I knew I had to say something. I can't believe that you couldn't tell before now how I felt for you." Her words done, Kairi hung her head, her body shaking with the sobs that were beginning to come from her. It had been years since the girl had cried like this, the last time she had been without Reno, and it had been Renata who had comforted her. Renata squeaked at Kairi and placed a paw on her trainer's face, as if trying to tell her to apologize for what she had done just now. Zeke merely stared up at her and then nuzzled his face into Kairi's neck, trying to get the girl to stop crying.
Finally she looked up at Reno again, only now noticing the minor burn on his face. Fresh tears formed and released as she realized what she had just done to him. In her anger, she hadn't noticed the burn before, the burn caused by her foolish actions in sending her pokemon after him. "I'm sorry Reno... I'm so, so sorry... I didn't mean for you to get burned. I didn't think Zeke's flames would reach that high with him standing on your foot," Kairi's words were shaky, sometimes interrupted with sobs that she could no longer control. "I'm sorry..." her last apology, so sincere that even Kairi didn't know how she managed to get the words out, came in such a soft whisper that she knew only Reno and her pokemon would be able to hear. Her hostility had completely vanished, the cold shell that she had to protect her was gone for the moment, revealing the weak girl that had always been underneath it. She no longer knew what to say, she just wanted to know if Reno could ever forgive her for what she had done just now.

"Its alright. Its okay. I'm here now and its alright." Reno kept her clutched to his chest, letting her have her emotional time. Due to the emotional nature of everything and his need to help her, he unknowingly dropped his accent. Keeping her close, he kissed her on the forehead to calm her down. "I love you too, Kairi. I love you too." Feeling her crying, he kissed her again to help her. It appeared a breakthrough had finally be achieved. Now, they both could be open about their feelings. He lowered his head to be at eye-level with Kairi, which is when he took the chance and kissed her on the lips.

Her body continued to shake with sobs, though she was beginning to calm down thanks to Reno. His words nearly took her by surprise, but considering all she had just said, it was the words that she wanted to hear from him the most right now. Up until now, Kairi hadn't been completely certain on Reno's feelings towards her, but now that she was she felt she could relax. Her body stopped shaking, though the tears still continued to flow freely down her cheek. Although she was shocked by his kissing her, she couldn't help herself, kissing him back gently and then pulling away slightly, wanting to say something to him. "Do... do you forgive me for attacking you then..?" she spoke quietly, her expression pleading for Reno to answer her question.

He smiled at her reaction to the kiss. He knew for sure now everything she said had been true. Feeling her body stop shaking and her tears dry, he smiled at her "Considerin the results, I believe it bloody well was okay. So yeah I forgive ya." His voice was calm and sincere, with his accent returning to it. He brought her close for another hug and kissed her forehead again.
