Why is it that when someone explains an awesome situation like Optimus Prime fighting Hitler's brain in a giant robot suit or Cap. America battling against zombie mutant dinosaurs it's considered awesome, but when actually put into practice it's lame?

Heh, this is interesting.
At Newgrounds, there's a flash series ( 3 EPs so far, if you include the intro. ) called Project: Game Over. It's where some supervillain thing gets the villains from several game worlds together and has them beat the crap outta the heroes and do things for him after he single-handedly beats the crap outta 'em all at once.
