⋮ ۩ ) • • • Standing before Samuel, he hardly cared about his state of dress. He could easily go out in public with what he was wearing. Micha wasn't ashamed of his body though he didn't think Samuel would appreciate it. He found amusement as Samuel looked him over. Micha nodded as Samuel soon spoke as he stepped back.

Moving around the island, he walked toward the counter. Micha heard movement as Samuel left to head upstairs to get his phone. He grabbed his cup off the machine as he inhaled the rich aroma. Micha set the cup down as he went to grab the sugar. He pulled open a drawer as he pulled out a spoon. Micha opened the sugar container and poured some in the stirred it with the spoon. He replaced the lid as he set the sugar back where it belonged.

Picking up his coffee, he took a sip to the bitter taste. Micha didn't think Samuel had any creamer, after all he never used it. He moved through the kitchen to the backyard door. Micha unlocked it as he stepped outside with cup in hand. He walked toward the couch as he moved around it to take a seat. Micha sipped on his coffee as he waited for Samuel to return.

With his phone in hand, Samuel proceeded to make his way back. He followed the familiar halls and took his time on the stairs. Soon reaching the foyer, he turned to the next hall. From there he could smell the lovely aroma of fresh brewed coffee wafting down the hall. He followed the smell as he continued down towards the kitchen. As Samuel reentered the kitchen he was surprised to find that Micha was no longer there. He looked around curiously before spotting him just beyond the back door. Taking his own half-forgotten cup from the counter, Samuel walked around the island and through the rest of the kitchen.

Opening and shutting the door for himself, Samuel stepped on to the back patio. "Found my phone, sorry for the wait." He said as smiled towards the Micha. Walking over towards the couch he took a seat beside him. Samuel was careful not to make either of them sip their drinks. Lifting his cup, he took a small sip as he looked across the yard. The sun was rising fast now as the light grew higher. If not for a few well placed plants, they would likely be blinded. After another sip, Samuel set the cup on the arm rest and pulled his phone from his pocket. He then went through the motions of opening his phone, pulling the app, and finding the correct restaurant. This took him all of maybe a minute, but once it was done he was able to see all of the information he needed, including hours of delivery. "Hmm, looks like we're in luck. Delivery hours just started about half an hour ago." he said, looking towards Micha.

⋮ ۩ ) • • • Micha couldn't help but remember the last time he'd been outside on the back patio. It was his first time here. He'd been sent on a scavenger hunt to find Samuel's mansion. His reward had been a kiss on the cheek but also shared in the warmth of the fire pit in front of the couch section of the patio set. He couldn't help but find it amusing as he sat there sipping on his coffee.

It wasn't long before Samuel found him though it wasn't as if he was hiding. Micha glanced toward Samuel hearing him speak apologizing. He shook his head smiling at him. ”No worries.” Micha responded as Samuel took a seat beside him. He watched as Samuel took a sip from his cup and set it aside. Micha waited as Samuel soon took his phone from his pocket and pulled open a delivery app. He took a sip from his coffee as Samuel scrolled through his phone getting details. Soon hearing Samuel speak, Micha nodded at his words. ”That's good that they deliver so we don't have to leave.” He responded, having not been excited about getting dressed.

He remembered their first time out on the patio. His method for getting Micha to come over were undoubtedly questionable, but he had no regrets. As that first time would ultimately lead to a string of many first for them. As he came out on to the patio, Samuel apologized for the wait. He smiled as Micha reassured him. Crossing the short distance he came to sit beside him, soon pulling his phone out. It didn't take him long to find the information he was looking for and informed the male as such.

Glancing towards Micha, Samuel watched him nod and and smiled as he spoke. It amused him how lazy the man could be at time, though this time he wholeheartedly agreed. While it wasn't so terrible to get up, get dressed, and drive down there, he simply didn't want to. Samuel smirked as he nodded in response. He continued to tap away at his phone, adding in items from their previous discussion. "Did you want anything else besides pancakes and bacon?" he asked curiously.

⋮ ۩ ) • • • It was hard not to be lazy with Samuel. While he could get dressed, he much preferred the intimacy of just relaxing with each other. He sipped on his coffee as Samuel went about putting their order together. Micha shook his head as Samuel questioned him. ”No, that should suffice.” He responded knowing he wasn't likely to eat more and didn't want to waste it.

To be honest, he also enjoyed their lazy moments together. It was nice to just sit there and relax. For once they didn’t have to worry about work or their conflicting schedules getting in the way. They had all the time in the world. While Samuel took the liberty to put in an order, he asked him about his breakfast choices. He didn’t mind adding anything else that Micha might want. However, the man beside him assured him that the order was fine. ”Got it.” he replied. Samuel continued to put in the delivery details before submitting the order. ”And done.” he said. Setting his phone down, Samuel grabbed his mug once more. “Order should be here in twenty to thirty minutes.

⋮ ۩ ) • • • Micha knew eventually Samuel would need to get back to his regular schedule. He would also need to decide on the loft from the choices he had. Micha couldn't stay in a hotel forever. He also needed to get back in contact with his clients. It had been over a year since he'd taken pictures of models. Micha wasn't entirely regretting it but he needed to pick back up on his own routine and financial stability.

Reassuring Samuel, he watched as Samuel finished up the order. Micha nodded as Samuel spoke about the time for their food to arrive. ”Cool.” He commented,surprised by the time.

He would miss not being able to hang out with Micha so much. He liked having him over and spending time together. But, he knew that Micha had things to do. A client list to fill, a home to find, he couldn't stay in that hotel forever. His savings wouldn't allow it, no matter how frugal his spending. Samuel knew that once he was settled and the adjustment period had past there would be plenty of time for dates, hanging out, and just maybe the occasional sleep over. He knew it would take time, so he was in no particular rush.

After placing their order, Samuel informed Micha about the wait time. He smiled at his one word answer. He hoped that the information was correct. It was still early, so maybe that helped them out. Though there was no telling what the traffic would be like. Lifting his mug to his lips, Samuel took another sip. Samuel enjoyed the bitter taste. He took one more sip before setting the mug down on his leg. With his free hand, he rummaged through his pocket and pulled the packet of cigarettes he had taken from his room. Flipping back the lid, there were four remaining. He took one for himself and held the box in offering towards Micha.

⋮ ۩ ) • • • Micha wasn't too worried about the time. The food would get there when it did. He was sure they could entertain themselves in the meantime. Micha continued to sip on his coffee as he sat there. He could see Samuel from the corner of his eye drinking his own coffee. Micha soon saw more movement as Samuel shifted to reach into his pocket and pull out his cigarettes. He turned his head as Samuel soon offered him one. Micha reached out as he fished inside the box for one of the four.

Indeed, they had plenty of time to wait. Samuel didn't know about Micha, but if he was truly starving, there were still leftovers in the fridge and snacks in the cabinet. However, he didn't mind the wait. Setting down his phone, Samuel pulled out his cigarettes and flipped back the lid. Although there were not many left, he still took one for himself and offered the others to Micha. Samuel watched him pull one from the box and set it down between them. Taking the lighter from his pocket, he flicked his thumb on the wheel, and covered the flame with his free hand. Being the gentleman that he was, Samuel turned towards Micha and allowed him to light his first. He was careful to hold the flame steady and not let it go out by the light breeze. When he was done he brought the flame to the tip of his own cigarette, and inhaling deeply when it lit. The toxic smoke raced down his throat and into his lungs, burning them slightly. Holding it a moment, he turned his gaze to the sky as he slowly released. It had been hours since his last cigarette, sometime either before or after Micha had come over. He couldn't recall. It was a filthy habit, this he knew. Perhaps while they focused on sorting out their lives and careers, he could try to quit again. If for any reason, so that he might be around just a little longer for Micha.

⋮ ۩ ) • • • Micha knew that smoking was a bad habit though he didn't smoke much. He was more of a social smoker, not a chain smoker as he had been. Micha had tried curbing back. He knew without drinking he would need another vice though he hadn't allowed himself to. Micha watched as Samuel took his own cigarette from the box and set it down. He waited as Samuel removed the lighter from his pocket. Micha hadn't expected Samuel to offer him to light his first though he should have expected it. He slipped the filter between his lips and leaned forward as Samuel brought the lite lighter to him. Micha ran his hand up, taking the cigarette between his index and middle finger. He inhaled, allowing the smoke to burn for a few seconds before removing the cigarette from his lips. Micha turned his head blowing the smoke out from his lips. He glanced toward Samuel as he thanked him.

Samuel had been a chain smoker for years. He picked up the habit when he was in high school and it only continued as he grew older. Back then, he found it a little easier when he thought about giving it up. He could turn his attentions towards something more productive like sports, school, or another relationship. When those things started to weigh on him, the amount he smoked naturally grew. By the time he met Micha, his habit seemed to fluctuate. Sometimes they could hang out for hours or days at a time and he would have but less than a handful of smokes. Then other times, he seemed to never stop smoking. He loathed to think how horrible his lungs looked.

Pulling out the lighter, Samuel graciously offered to light Micha's cigarette first. He watched the male slip the filter between his lips as he leaned close. When he was lit, he sat back to light his own. Samuel set the lighter down next to the pack between them. They smoked silently, it was oddly peaceful and made him a little nostalgic. This wasn't the first time they had shared a smoke, nor did he think it would truly be their last. At least not until they both somehow managed to go without. Samuel knew that was easier said than done. But the idea of clearing his lungs just to spend a few extra years with Micha was quite tempting. As he blew out his own smoke, he heard the male thank him. Samuel turned his head and smiled. Scooting a little closer on the couch, he slipped his arm on the back of it. He was feeling quite happy with the way things were going.

⋮ ۩ ) • • • Micha could understand the need to become healthier. He had worked on quitting drinking. Micha had wanted to better himself and had. Though for Samuel to quit smoking, he knew both of them would have to quit as it was only fair. He couldn't expect Samuel to quit while he continued or vice versa.

Indeed sitting there smoking together was comforting. He couldn't help but remember the times they'd gone out for breakfast and smoked in the diner. Micha had enjoyed such moments as they had become more meaningful. He felt Samuel move closer as he slipped an arm on the back of the couch. Micha found it amusing. He relaxed, moving to lean against Samuel. Micha too was enjoying their morning so far. He slipped the cigarette back between his lips as he took a drag from it and blew the smoke out allowing it to billow around them.

Samuel knew that it was a bit unfair to ask Micha to quit with him. After all, he hadn't exactly been supportive of Micha's own choice to stop drinking. A good majority of his very livelihood depended on the drinking of others. Samuel had never been a big drinker himself, but he still partook when the need arose. So far he had been careful not to drink too much around the man. But if he was going to ask Micha to quit smoking for him, the very least he could do was stop drinker in return.

As they continued to take in the morning sun, Samuel slipped a bit closer to the male, his arm hanging off the back of the couch. He found himself feeling quite content right now. They weren't fighting, they had good coffee, a couple of cigarettes, and a picturesque view to take in. He smiled as Micha moved to lean against him. Taking another pull from his cigarette, Samuel then took it between his fingers as he slowly exhaled. He watched as their combined smoke twirled and danced in the wind before vanishing from their sight.

⋮ ۩ ) • • • While asking Samuel to stop drinking seemed fair, he would not expect it of him. His choice to stop was on the abusive side. Micha had never seen Samuel abuse alcohol. After all, he owned a nightclub; what could stop him? He however didn't mind the idea of quitting smoking together, it only seemed fair. Giving up one vice for another was just feeding the addiction.

Sitting beside Samuel, he relaxed. Micha couldn't help but move closer to his embrace. He took comfort in the morning sunrise and sat there watching. Micha couldn't help but be curious by the silence. He glanced toward Samuel as he pulled his cigarette from his lips and let the smoke blow out. ”Penny for your thoughts?” Micha asked curiously as the comforting silence was weighing on him.
