Sonja smiled a tiny bit. This was going to be fun. "If you insist." She said then returned to focusing on her job. Her mind cleared of all thoughts aside from the look on Kade's face when she dragged his cousin and her male interlude to his feet. Being able to do something a Lykae couldn't would probably feel pretty good. . . until she saw Daven's wounded face when she rubbed it in their faces she was better than them.

She slowed to a stop as that thought entered her mind. Daven was going to be so upset with her. Especially when he found out she had lied to him. . . again. Crap what had she been thinking?

You were thinking about how happy he'd be if you found her safe and sound. Some part of her whispered in her head. Of course she hadn't have needed to bring Clara. Unless she wanted to bring the Lykae woman back for Kade. . . Now that she thought about it. . .She didn't really ask Clara if she wanted to do this. Just, sort of told her what she was doing and assumed Clara would want to be her wingman. "If. . . If you want to go back to the hotel you can." She said with a sigh of defeat.

Clara said nothing at first choosing to follow her own advice and stay silent she cut her eyes toward Sonja as she mentioned going back to the hotel. “ I don’t know what exactly you were thinking or why you’re doing this, but I have a distinct feeling it’s not for all the right reasons, nor do I think you really considered not coming into the city and leaving it with a big gaping hole” She said referring to the arsenal. It was the full moon chances were even if Scarlett wasn’t mated, they’d have a hell of a time getting her back to NOLA willingly. Clara took a breath and tilted her head listening, then slowly turned her head towards whispered voices. “ Well law of attraction states you get what you think about”

Sonja turned to look at Clara, to explain her train of thought when she spotted something in the corner of her eye. "Clara, don't make any sudden movements that might attract attention just. . . take my hand and lets go back. I'll come back here at another time just-" Something flickered catching her attention. She subtly surveyed the problem. "Five. . ." She whispered. "No six." She closed her eyes and centered herself. They'd been spotted. Three choices. Leg it to the hotel which was too far to get to before they were shot at, wait for them to come closer then make the first move, or duck into the casino they were currently standing near. She muttered these choices to Clara to get her take on it. She wasn't going to trace. Too many people watching.

Clara didn’t have to hear Sonja’s warning she already knew how many there were, and if she strained to pick out their voices she could figure out their plot. Still she glanced to Sonja and gave a casual shrug “ Casino is convenient, fits with the cover story, and offers us the chance to get out of obvious sight and get out of here. “ She said then pointed up at the casino sigh as if she was discussing the games inside, the vampires likely wouldn’t know the difference.

Sonja nodded and turned to enter the Casino. "Lets go." She said with a grin grabbing Clara's hands and pulled her into the Casino dazzling the people out front to let them in. She hoped that the vampires wouldn't follow. That they could get back to their search without trouble. But she was prepared to get into trouble if they didn't back off.

Ishtar smiled a little at her as she apologised for her actions. His assessment of her hand been right, she wanted something from him. Fine. He wanted something too. "Depends on the terms." He said his eyes fixated on her bloody lip. "If I don't like them we stay right here." He smirked at her leaning down. "Tell me your terms Cammi." He made his request sound as devilishly sexy as he could, his hands moving down to capture her hips. "I'd very much like to know if I'd like these terms."

Ishtar held back his shock. "You want that unimpressive piece of gold?" He asked his nose now pressed on hers. "Why not have something worthy of your time?" He thought about it. Maybe she was testing him. Attempt. . . For a circlet. "I don't like these terms." He said after his mind clicked. "I'm not going to pay you just to attempt you. You're my mate not my hooker." He scowled and moved away from her. "As if I'd treat you so lowly. Different terms." He was so affronted by her request all her attempts to seduce him had failed. his body was thrumming with anger. "I would much rather attempt you because you want to, not because you want something else. . ." He sighed realising he was getting too angry and pulled her into his arms. "New terms please. You want that circlet. But I'm not going to get it just because you let me attempt you."

Clara followed with a half smile, oh she was so not happy with this. Once they were inside the casino she leaned over “ if they come in, they can’t trace…cameras everywhere. Our best escape would be to either trace out of the ladies room OR go out the back” She said then looked around the room no one that looked like either Scarlett or the man who’d traced away with her was on this portion of the gambling floor and she frowned.

Sonja nodded, her mind six steps ahead. "Ladies room would be best." She whispered back. Her eyes scanned the room too, people didn't notice how oddly dressed she was for being in a casino. They didn't really care. They were either winning big or losing big.

The power went out then, causing the humans to cry out in shock and Sonja to swear colourfully. Damn it. She grabbed Clara and tried to trace out but was unable too. "Back door it is." She said taking Clara through the throng of the crowd to the back door. Don't panic. Her mind whispered. Just go the same like any other job. This is no different.

Except it's free. She countered.

Does sex count as payment? Something else whispered in her head.

Well. . . I guess. . . She thought back.

Then it's not for free.

Sonja pursed her lips. Good point. She thought and pushed open the back door setting off the fire alarm. She looked forward and felt her face drain of colour. The six Horde were standing right there. Sonja swore colourfully.

Clara had a bit of a difficult time following as her eye sight was just about the same as a humans, but she followed Sonja’s lead. This wasn’t going to be nearly as fun or relaxing as she’d hoped for. Ah well, when Sonja pushed open the emergency door setting off an alarm she silenced the alarm, her magic crackling in the air. When Sonja began to curse she arched a brow looking at the six in front of them then tilted her head if Sonja couldn’t trace out of the building, then they wouldn’t be able to either….if they came in, they couldn’t escape the two of them or call for help, but somehow she doubted that was going to be how this went down.

Sonja should have traced them back when she had the chance. Should have just gone to a spa. So much for wanting to have a nice time walking around and maybe putting some holes in the a** who took Kade's cousin. Looked like these Horde wanted to put some holes in them.

"Look Vlad. Two lost lambs." One purred. "No. . . Three lost lambs." He chuckled darkly watching the female in black shudder.

"Sorry boys, red light district is further down." Sonja quipped.

"But ve're not h'ere for ze h'uman girls," Another drawled his eyes dirty red and crazed. "Ve are h'ere for you. Master vants you and your friend. Didn't say vich state zo. . ." He pulled out a dagger.

Sonja smirked darkly and kept Clara behind her. "Oh boys. . . didn't anyone ever tell you not to mess with a Mercenary on pms?" She asked pulling something out of her jacket and threw it at them. It made a bang and a flash of light stunning the six for a moment, long enough for Sonja to grab Clara and trace them onto the main street. Car's whizzed by pressing their horns to signal them out of the way. "Damn it I meant to get us to the hotel!" She swore. She was missing something. Obviously they were in the right city if Horde were here.

She tilted her head to the side listening to the vampires. They made her ill, but that could have just been the baby too. She frowned at the one with the heavy accent. Ah she loved being underestimated. Of course she didn’t have the opportunity to even make any noise or freak out the vampires with hallucinations before she was traced into another precarious situation. “ Damn it, your wires get crossed again?” She said jumping back onto the side walk. “ Try again Sonja, or I hope you have a plan” She said.

"I swear I meant the hotel!" Sonja growled mainly to herself as she watched them stumble out of the alley way and spot them. "Merde." She hissed. " I can't trace us again." She said pulling Clara along the side walk through the people toward the hotel. "I might misfire again. Last thing we need is a midday roast in the outback." Crap. Where was the hotel? She thought looking around. "We have to stick close, dividing will get us killed."
