Steve chuckled at the god’s comment as he placed bowls of chopped vegetables and meat in front of Fenrir. Fenrr just wrinkled his nose though. “I wouldn’t do that to myself.” He pouted. Looking over the bowls in front of him as he picked up one of the skewers, he considered carefully. “Can this one just be peppers and meat? Uncle Thor likes those things.” He asked after a moment, already reaching for a few peppers, one hand still clutching the skewer. “Uncle Volstagg likes them too.”

"I know you wouldn't do it on purpose my sone but accidents do happen." Loki explained as he lined up the bowls Steve had placed before them. When Fenrir asked about making some of the kababs just meat and peppers Loki nodded. "Only a few though, its good for both you and your uncle to have the vegetables." Loki stated. He didn't want to deny Fenrir about this but he needed to make sure he was eating what he needed for nutrition. He nodded that Volstagg too liked just meat and peppers. Most Asgardians liked it that way but they had no idea what they were missing in their diets. He didn't want that for his children to be malnutritioned.

Fenrir grinned as he was given permission to make the kebabs he suggested. Eagerly grabbing the ingredients, he began skewering them. He gave a little giggle as he worked, stabbing each piece of food eagerly. Even with Loki’s orders to include more vegetables on most of the skewers, he didn’t seem to care, enjoying himself too much. “I like these.” He said eagerly. Steve chuckled from his spot at the stove, shaking his head. He clearly had known Fenrir would find this entertaining, which was why he had asked the boy if he wanted to help out.

Loki smiled as Fenrir begn grabbing ingredients and stabbing them onto the skewers. The small giggling had Loki chuckling himself as he too prepared some skewers himself. "Well if you like these I am sure there would be other things you would like maybe you can come help Steve cook every once in a while." Loki suggested. It was wonderful for him to be helping cook with his son and while he liked Steve and considered him a great friend at this point. He wished the man was Tony instead and that they were acting like a family together.

Fenrir looked up to Loki with a furrowed brow. “Somehow I don’t think cooking is always this fun.” He said, almost seeming too serious for how silly he’d been a moment before. Sam chuckled from his spot. “No, it’s not always so fun.” He said, getting an elbow to the side from Bucky. Fenrir looked to the man. “See?” he asked, of course the momentary distraction was enough for Fenrir to manage to poke himself fairly hard with a skewer. Yelping, he dropped the skewer on the counter, shaking his hand. Steve looked over his shoulder to watch them, making sure Fenrir was actually alright.

Loki was about to answer when Sam piped up agreeing with Fenrir that cooking was not always so fun. He shot the man a mild irritated look as Bucky elbowed him. When Fenrir said see and then yelped Loki was turning to him quickly eyes scanning for the injury. Seeing the boy shaking his hand Loki grasped it and carefully checked it over. "Are you alright?" Loki questioned his son as he investigated his hand.

Fenrir let Loki take his hand as he pouted. He wasn’t seriously hurt, just had an angry red spot on his palm where he’d poked himself. He sniffled a little, but he didn’t cry. “I’ll be okay.” He said as Loki looked at his hand, trying to be strong. Bucky looked over with a faint smile. “Tough guy.” He said simply. Fenrir sniffled again, but sat up a little straighter, smiling at the assassin. Steve nodded in agreement. "A skewer won't stop him will it?"

Loki looked at his son as the boy said he'll be okay. He smiled gently at the boy and placed his own hand over the red mark, he let the cool from his hand soothe the red mark on Fenrir's. "No it won't stop him." Loki agreed.

As Fenrir grinned up at Loki, there was a faint stirring across the bond. The spike of concern from Loki had drawn Tony’s attention. There was a faint tug on the bond, trying to figure out if something bad had happened. Even with the attention, his focus was still largely elsewhere, not overly concerned yet. After a moment, Fenrir pulled his hand from Loki’s to go back to making kebabs, seemingly perfectly fine and undisturbed by the accident a moment before.

Loki smiled at his son when the boy grinned at him before paying attention to Tony's sudden attention through the bond. He sent a soothing assurance through the bond after a moment though half having thought about not sending something and letting Tony worry to the point that he would leave the lab. He shook the thought away though as Fenrir pulled his hand away and went back to making the kababs. Loki soon joined him in making more kebabs again though his mind still drifting to the thoughts about missing Tony. "There we are all complete." Loki said when they had finishing skewering all the ingredients.

Tony took a moment longer to make sure everything was okay, seemingly drawn to stay more closely connected to Loki, but he ultimately pulled his mind away once more to focus on his work again. Fenrir managed to avoid any further injury, though he chattered away happily as he helped. When Loki announced that they were done, Steve looked over and grinned. “Perfect.” He said, quickly collecting the trays of kebabs and moving them closer to the stove. “Want to see something cool?” he asked the boy, Fenrir quickly nodded and Steve moved him again setting up his stool a short distance from the stove. Looking to Loki, he held up a hand. “You might want to stay back a little." he advised. Grabbing a few kebabs, he placed them in an iron skillet and sprinkled a little oil over them. Picking up a lighter from the counter he quickly set them aflame over the pan, the fire burning high and bright for a moment. Fenrir laughed at the sight, clapping his hands as Steve adjusted the kebabs to cook a little more properly. “Again!” Fenrir demanded, earning laughs from Sam and Steve, bucky even cracking a smile at the eagerness. Steve glanced at Loki with a silent question, wondering if Loki was alright with him entertaining the boy for a bit.

Loki mourned the loss of Tony's attention on him but didn't hold to it long as Fenrir was talking and stabbing things. Soon his full focus was on his son and dinner prep. When they had finished Loki moved to rewash his hands again as Steve took the tray of skewers. He was drying his hands as Steve moved Fenrir's stool, he moved forward himself curious as to what Steve was intentionally on showing his son until the man warned him to stay back a bit. He smiled in thanks to Steve assuming the man was keep him from what was soon to be a heat source. He was not mislead in his assumption when Steve set a kabab on fire. Fenrir's glee at such a thing had Loki smiling in amusement and he nodded when Steve glanced at him for permission. "If you can keep him from burning himself I see no problem with it." he assured.

Steve chuckled at Loki, nodding. “No burnt little hands. Promise.” He said lightly, turning the cooking kebabs once before grabbing another to light on fire. As Steve prepped the food, Fenrir leaned closer in anticipation, but the soldier gently pushed him back to sit on the stool properly before he continued. “Show off.” Bucky commented as Steve earned another squeal from Fenrir, Sam snickering beside him. The pair began to gather things to set the table as Steve continued. All of a sudden, there was a flair of surprise from Tony, the bond opening with his surprise before he suddenly went blank, seeming to have fallen unconscious.

Loki nodded when Steve promised him that there would be no burnt little hands.He stayed for a moment watching and was glad to see Steve being attentive to how close Fenrir got when the man pushed the boy back to a safe distance. Satisfied with the knowledge that Steve and most likely Bucky would keep his son safe he moved to sit in a chair his lower back a bit sore. Loki was suddenly startled from his relaxing when he felt the flair of surprise from tony before blankness. "JARVIS, how is Tony?" Loki questioned concern tinging his voice as he shifted to stand and move down to the lab should he need. He wasn't sure what he was going to do if Tony was passed out on the ground but he would figure something out.

JARVIS responded promptly to Loki’s question. “Mr. Stark and his guest appear to have been knocked unconscious from the last test. Their vital signs seem to be stable however.” He said informed the god simply. “I must warn you that it is not advised that you enter the lab if that is your intention. Mr. Stark had some concern for your health and the health of the twins with the current state of the lab.” He added.
