Maybe it's just me but even when I try my hardest I can not see emily browning as bella. I don't know why but I can't.

i imagined Emily Browning as Bella. but she's almost too pretty...not that Bella should be ugly. but in the book it says she's kind of plain looking.

but after hearing that Kristen Stewart was going to be playing Bella, i think that she suits her fine. Kristen has that sort of fragile look to her, which is good if you're playing a klutz that's always getting into trouble.

But Kristen is a really good actress. I loved her in Speak.

i think kristen steward is a perfect bella, she's not absurdly pretty or anything, but she looks nice, and she DOES have a very fragile look to her. so i'm satisfied with her casting. now edward, thats another story. XD

Kristen Stewart is better for the role than Emily Browning...Emily would be better as a vampire, since she looks perfect...I agree, Kristen had got the Bella look about her, fragile, pretty but not too pretty and pale. Of course.
