He darted into the branches again, turning into smoke in an attempt to make it look like the wind rustled the leaves. He rematerialised on the branch ever so slsowly, as to not make the branch creak. His teacher was getting rusty, it seemed...

Summer turned into a little bat and darted high into the tree, turning vampire on a branch quietly

(Last I checked, vampires don't turn into foxes. Wolves, maybe. Bats, definitely. But foxes... not so much...)

(they don't turn to smoke either so consider it a learned trick)

(Actually, it is a lesser known power. In the traditional myth of vampirism, they are known fo the ability to escape a locked room without destroying a thing. How is such a thing possible? Turning into smoke, seeping through a keyhole or a crack in the wall, or something else of the like.)

"Mistress? On the chance we've been spotted, what do we do?"

"Run like the wind?" she said in a cute tone

"There's two of our kind down there with them and you want to run away? Not only is that dumb, it's...cowardice! No, I mean, do we go down and interact? What would we say? Would we fight? We're supposed to keep the scientist alive. I need to know what we'd have to do. How I got stuck with a teacher like you, I don't know. Maybe I don't want to know..."

She gave him a cute childish smile and rolled her eyes at him

He glared at her. "AND WHAT IS THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN?!"

(g2g now. Little brother is most impatient.)

He growled, and pushed her out of the tree into plain sight. "That'll teach ya... b***h."

She landed quietly on her knees and kicked the tree, knocking him out

Lore looked around, thinking she was hearing things, but just shook her head and concentrated on the vampire and scientist in front of her.

He dusted himself off. "Man, I ought to be teaching you! They sent you because they think I'm irresponsible, but I'm a damn sight smarter than you are! You know what? Screw you! I'll do whatever the hell I want to!" He walked into the clearing and passionately kissed the woman who was licking her hand, savouring the blood which still danced on her tongue. Then, wiping his mouth, he walked off into the distance. Under his breath, he said, "Consider that my resignation."
