Pfft. Screw them, if you don't mind my saying so.

They're not the ones reading it.

So they won't be the ones going to Hell if they are right.

If they are right, they can sit on their clouds in Heaven, laughing at us.

Meanwhile we can all be happy in Hell with our books.

Sorted.

thats funny...I guess ill see all of you in HELL!!!

*high fives*

I'll set up a nice reading corner... Full of Harry Potter and His Dark Materials and Twilight...

And we can all laugh at the losers in Heaven who never appreciated good literature... ^_^

And I shall join you! *hugs copy of Eclipes* Hell might be fun...

*packs giant suitcase full of fantasy books* I'm coming too!

I had a teacher once who took away my copy of Harry Potter once when I was reading it at school, and she said it was because I was supposed to be doing work, but really it was because she was a huuuge Catholic and probably disapproved of me reading it >_<

My parents think I'm weird for liking vampire books so much because they don't like reading things that scare them, but they're just so good... tee hee biggrin

"Do you have someone important to protect?"

I live in a Christain Family, and.. my Mother likes the books.

Although, I've only read her New Moon.
And, yes. She didn't read it herself.

She made my friend and I read it to her.

If anyone tells you you'll go to hell for reading Twilight, either: a) jump and down and tell them that you can't wait; b) tell them you'll meet them there; c) ask them to back up this claim with evidence, and laugh at them when they can't. d) remind them that the author and several of the main characters (Carlisle) are christian

And if we all do end up in hell because they're right (like that'll ever happen) then I'm joining that book club smile

Sigh. This was the same for Harry Potter. Stupid overly religion obsessed people, they have no right to discriminate a book.

I go to a private catholic school too.
And yeah, I have to take religion.
In fact, I have an exam on it this monday.
They tried telling us that Harry potter was satanic,
as well as the da vinci code.
people take things too seriously.

*twitch*

Twilight is Satanic? Since when?

It doesn't talk specifically about religion >:(

Shamey. Big shamey. It's just fiction! Unless there is a massive amount of proof that it is Satanic, which I'm sure is unlikely. ^_^

On a side note, religious intolerance is horrible. :(

First, how could Stephanie be sending subliminal messages...THROUGH A BOOK!!! You have to see or hear subliminal messages.
Second, its a fictional story. No matter how much i wish it was real its still just a story. A well written, fantastic, and amazing story but still a story and there's not one part in there that talks about worshiping anything.
Third, shouldn't you're religion teacher be talking about God or what? If not they should change it to a literature class, or something.

I can understand people who just dont like the books(well actually I can't). If you don't like it, thats one thing, but to go as far as saying they are sataninc??? And how would he know if he hasn't even read them...and if he has read them and really believes they are satanic then by his standards wouldn't he be going to hell??? Just a thought.

ugh. I hate that.
I go to a Catholic school too, && they never said that Twilight was satanic
[[the teachers probably don't know what Twilight is *gasp*
but they do say that animals don't have souls. talk2hand
Yup. My school is messed up like that.

Wow, I'm so glad I don't go to a Catholic school or anything like that or else I'd go pysco on their butts if they started on Twilight. I can't stand people who find evil in every little thing. Especially books. I mean come on! It's a fictional story meant to ENTERTAIN! Not brainwash us into becoming 'Satan lovers' Phht. Don't make me laugh. Oh wait..too late
