Inside was the image of a perfect world... Just as Mae's shape started to be absorbed into it, he nodded to Jonah, who quickly took the knife out. The top snapped back on. "Do you believe me now?"

Mae blinked, "S-sorta..." she said softly.

Jonah slipped he Mastema back into his pocket. "Mitch just doesn't approve of Kate having guns."

Mitch sighed. "It's her history in Shadowmancer. She doesn't like to actually kill, no matter how tough she acts."

Mae looked at him, "How did they come out of the books?" she asked.

Mitch shrugged. "Like I said, don't know the exacts."

Mae sighed, "This is really weird..." she mummbled.

Mae smiled slightly, "I should really get back to the theater... i just came to asked you if you could help out with the sets again..." she said.

Mitch smiled slightly. "I got my work cut out for me with Kate and Thomas," Kate punched his arm hard. "So I doubt I can."
