[-Erik-] MoonJeli Garek Maxwell I find it funny that the government won't recognize different kinds of marriages mostly because it would upset a particular group of people, but yet the ceremonies and social recognition of those commitments still happen even if the government doesn't acknowledge it. ...I don't know, just being randomish I guess. Congratulations on your marriage! heart Thank you. <3 We've been together six years, but our wedding was just in September. [-Erik-]
This thread didn't solve my doubts ಠ_ಠ
Well, it wasn't meant to solve any doubts, just make it clear it was a completely different thing. Your doubts don't have a bearing on my relationship, after all. A quick search of polyamory on Google will turn up thousands and thousands of pages with which you can learn about it, if you're so inclined, or you're welcome to ask me any questions you have.
Then... why did you link me to said thread?! I'm so confused. I'll look it up on Google later gonk
Oh yeah... Congratulations! Forgot to say that.
As I said, to clear up the difference between bigamy and polyamory. Bigamy -- multiple *legally recognized marriages*. Illegal in the US. That is if I married my husband, got a marriage certificate, had it recognized by the state, and then he *secretly* went and married another woman, legally, recognized by the state, then it would be bigamy, and illegal. We are not in a legally recognized marriage, we had a commitment ceremony, just like gays have to have in most of the country, so it it is not bigamy. Also, it is an equal relationship, i.e. we all committed to each other, I am just as much with my wife as I am with my husband, and all around. So it's polyamory, not bigamy. smile

If it wasn't for the government it'd be bigamy!

I have known of a couple several-partner relationships in the furry fandom, athough I'm not sure if they're exactly what she has. In both of them, there was a straight couple, and they had a "slave" or "pet". In one case, the pet was a gay male, the other one it was a female. And in both of them the "slave" also was involved with the couple sexually.
But yea, the "pet" or "slave" thing may be different.

Well, actually, no, we're not interested in multiple marriages -- we're interested in *one* multiple person marriage. Bigamy is for "sets of couples" basically. We're not two couples, pivoting on one person, we're a triad. wink The Netherlands approved a poly civil commitment. The US hasn't even approved gay marriages, so I doubt it'll happen anytime soon.

You know, some people don't even have one armory! In these tough economic times, you should be thankful you can even get an armory, much less multiple armories! scream ...that's what y'all are talkin' about, right? D:

Moon was all like "GUYS I GOT MARRIED" then I was like "OMG BIGAMY :U" and she was like "POLYAMORY PLZ" then I was all "LOL WUT" beacuse I didn't know what that was, and she was all like "ONE MARRIAGE NO MORE" and then I became all "OOOH COOL".

Unfortunately he's not, but he's very aware of it and accepting. He's one of those people that accepts that while he might not be turned on by something, other people are, and that's perfectly fine. biggrin But I did make him a fursona; he's a red kangaroo ('cause he has big feet xd ).

That's what I did for my boyfriend. He's a Kodiak bear, 'cause he's big and furry and has a belly that's fun to rub. X3 ♥ ♥
Although he does enjoy looking at furry porn with me. He's quite fond of Blotch's work. 3nodding
