Twyla sipped the chili, thought for a moment, then nodded. "It's good. Better than having curry all the time." She smiled at him. "Um, by the way, sorry for Monday."

"No prob." he said, taking another gulp of chili. "Do you have any DP?" He asked her.

"Uh...DP?" Twyla blinked. God, she was TOTALLY spacing today...

Tam let out a chuckle, then said, "Dr. Pepper."

Twyla looked at him strangely. "No. No we don't."

"S'okay." he said, then took another bite of chili.
"So, uhhh... Do you like the diner? I know Frank can be problem." he told her.

"It's OK. I feel comfortable at the cashier, and no one else likes it, so I can basically stay there all day. No one cares." Twyla laughed. "Yes, he can, can't he?"

"Yeah, but he's nice when you get to know him." he told her. Then laughed. "By the way, If he asks you if you would like to try his special hot dogs... DON'T... The last person that tried it, they spent three CONSCUTIVE days in the bathroom..." he told her with a serious face.

"That sounds like the day my dad tried to cook. Thankfully, I know better than to eat something that made water burn." Twyla smiled. "He does have a special talent for ruining food, I have found."

"Yeah, well, still. Don't eat his food." he said, finishing his chili.
"Want me too get your bowl?" he asked her.

"Hm? I got it, don't worry about it." Twyla stood up, and set her bowl in the sink. She surveyed the kitchen with some air of pride. "Well, it still looks like a rat hole, but it's better than it's been in months."

Tam leaned on the Doorframe. "Hey, you should come over sometime. Friday night? I'll have a few friends over." he told her.

"Allright. Heres my email and phone number. Call me for my address." he gave the slip of paper.
