Bingo, That or it will just drive them insane and they will then be locked in an insanitarium. That HAS happened... But in almost all those cases the people were already almost insane anyway.

Well, then they make a heirarchy, whoever is most insane gets to be king, they get to control everything, but they pay all the bills to the government... which is themselves... It's more complicated than that, but that's the essential part of it... It also involves waffles.

Don't worry. I speak crazy quiet well. So I decided to ignore it and say what I want to say.

I didn't say I didn't believe you. I just think the idea is flawed and would need to be improved on. Like no mental scaring.

Well, you don't think you can ALWAYS get away from a crime, unpunished in any way, that would cause a death penalty, do you?

No of course not. That isn't the flaw in the Gauntlet,

What is the flaw? The expenses that will follow when all the people go insane. So death is so much better.

As I said. Very few people make it out alive anyway. So, like, three people a year make it out, and only half the time even one of them are insane.

Still 5% error will cost us. Also building it and other costs are just to much in my mind when we can just cut peoples heads off with knifes.

But that's the thing! It does not have to be uber fancy! If you do it right, it can cost you no more than a knife that is good enough to cut off heads does! All you do is use makeshift traps! They work just as good, but without the price! Like a log tied to the ceiling to be dropped when a tripwire is interfered with!
