Sunas
Dattebayo is just a cute little Japanese adlib of Naruto's that I'm highly used too.

Believe it! is more of a....growing patch of annoyance in my mind.

Once they make Believe it! shirts- i'm through.

Hey I would buy that shirt! To me it's one of the coolest things about Naruto!

And I say if you don't don't like it stop whining about it like a two year old go to freaking Youtube and watch the stupid Japanese version and have him running around screaming "Dattebayo!!!"

lol it's so convenient in the japanese version that they don't sub dattebayo right? and whenever naruto says it he says it super fast so you can barely tell when he does say it. Today i watched like 20 naruto episodes and i must have heard dattebayo over 100x lol. I like believe it too....but it just doesn't beat dattebayo blaugh

Dattebayo is such a fun word ^_^ And it's more of "sentance ender" than an actual word lol. Like desu ne for example >< LOL I can explain it if someone wants to

The meaning of "Dattebayo". The Japanese language is sexist, meaning that there are words and phrases that are for males and for females. There are also phrases that are said, that have nothing to do with the sentence, that are added to describe the type or person who is speaking.

For example: Himura Kenshin almost always says "Gozaru" after he speaks. That word actually has no meaning, but it is a word that emphasizes his personality, a cool easy going person. The same would go for Konohamaru who says "kore," which is a child-like expression.

Dattebayo (Naruto) - An expression used by those that want to garner attention or are very energetic.
Da (Sasuke) - An expression which describes the speaker as being manly, strong and confident. Powerful expression.
Kore (Konohamaru, sometimes Tsunade) - A childish expression
Desu (Rock Lee) - An expression which describes the speak as being respectful, also accompanied by good sentence structure.

I hope this helps

I've only heard him say 'Believe it!' once this week. And at Hot Topic you can buy a cover for your light switch that says ' Believe it!' on it xd
