Nantale was born and raised in the Nchi'mahadhi pride, knowing since birth she would one day hold their rank equivalent of queen, the title of Malenga. Much of her youth was spent preparing or playing with her cousin, Talis, the princess of a neighboring pride. A flash flood caused havoc and chased Nantale into the roguelands, where she became lost, stranded, and pursued by vicious vagabonds.
Eventually, she was found by her parents and an assortment of fellow Nchi members. Since then, Nantale has stepped up and taken hold of her anticipated title, striving to make changes for the better.
• ａｐｐｅａｒａｎｃｅ
Nantale is about the size an average rogue would be. Through some miracle, she has no visible scars.
• ｐｅｒｓｏｎａｌｉｔｙ
A helpful and compassionate leader, though her expectations of her people (and herself) range from high to unrealistic. Nantale's personality is not a one-size-fits-all-situations sort, so a stranger's perception of her depends heavily on the circumstances during which they met. She'll keep to herself when she can, occupied with her thoughts and forever struggling to connect emotionally with so many predators at once. For this she is often accused by new and old members alike as being standoffish or reserved.
Behind the walls she's put up, there stands a lioness with charisma to spare... and of fear, too. Nantale suffers from anxiety exacerbated by her trauma during a flood that killed her brother and the stress of criticism any ruler will face.
Nantale is a great leader in that she can see many shortcomings of all plans, even her own. She's able to communicate her ideas and concerns quite effectively when need be. But she holds grudges and becomes easily agitated when things don't go smoothly.

Once upon a time, the God of Rogues met a former Pridelander, Sen, and Niu was born — along with her five brothers. Her vagabond mother had no interest in raising her kin, but was convinced to keep the lone daughter by her traveling partner and longtime best friend. Thus, Niu's brothers were left with her mother's old pride, the now disbanded Mtaishi'Miele, and Niu was kept as their new companion. Though she was cared for, it was not in the way a parent would care for a cub, and Niu often felt like a plaything.
Early into adulthood, Niu left her "mothers" without a word. She eventually came across the Firekin and fought her way in, where she became a guard under the advisement of a lion named Heti.

Niu does not go out of her way to be "pretty," but she doesn't slack in hygiene either. Her God blood runs thick through her veins, leaving her on equal ground in terms of size against even the most pure-blooded Firekin descendants .

Shortly after her arrival in the Firekin, Niu was subject to rumors involving herself and Azar'bijan in which she supposedly became pregnant with his cubs. Rumor has it Azar refused to claim them. Enough time passed with no cubs, so this was proven to be nothing more than gossip.
Niu's mother, Sen, is No's full-blood sister from their parents' second litter. This makes Niu her niece and related to much of the Firekin; however, Niu cannot prove this No is the same one she's heard about, nor has she tried. As far as the pride knows, she is a former rogue related to no one.
Other guards will often observe Niu staring blankly into the distance for unusually long periods of time, even for a guard. Often she is suffering from seer visions, a secret known only by herself and Azar'bijan.

Born in the Stormborn lands, Meshindi was the only survivor in a litter of four. Still, he was a sickly cub. After a few months passed and it became clear his ailing health was not improving, his father tossed him to the rogues. He was adopted and raised by a lioness, Yaariq, and her mate, Ahlsen.
Meshindi could barely remember his home, barely remember his father, but he was determined to go back and rekindle their bond. He left his caretakers at adolescence and met a huria, Gepeto, who remains his best friend to this day. Together, they joined the vikings and now take their place as reavers.

Niklas was born the son of a Warlord in the prime of his reign. With this came potential and hype he hasn't quite lived up to. Although he has followed the rules enough that his family would approve, he hasn't done anything worth making them proud.
In his youth, Niklas was known to occasionally socialize with the thralls and even pity them. Likewise, he (mostly quietly) sympathized with the females wanting more than the life of a denkeeper, if only a little. As he grew older, he adjusted more to his father's way of thinking. By adulthood any traces of non-conformity with Njal's ideals have all but vanished.
He remains a private, intelligent lion that very few know much about.

Niklas is perhaps on the fussy side for a viking and keeps his mane and coat clear of debris when possible. His scars are few and nothing worth gawking at. He is slightly larger than an average rogue.
