Speaking of, we need more story going towards Dutch and Benny.
Yeah, apparently the manga goes way more into their lives. I hear Dutch is a 'Nam deserter.

And Eda, even though her weapon of choice is a Glock. At least it's a longslide, ported Glock.
Don't knock the 17LC. It's a sweet gun... probably Glock's best.

But you know you've found the show for me when there's a scene with characters arguing over which gun Jesus would use.

"He's a Jew, right? Of course he'd use an Israeli gun."

And thank god she said Jericho, and not DEagle. Jesus is no poser.

This is all Black Lagoon right?

Also, you should checkout the Full Metal Panic! series. It's pretty awesome.

Yep. The A/C goes out at Lagoon Co. HQ or something like that, I forget what, but Revy goes to the Church to hang out with Eda and her A/C... except it's busted. So they just sit around bitching about how hot it is and drinking rum. They get into a conversation about what kind of gun Jesus would use somehow. It's hilarious.

Awesome. Just stop telling me about it, I haven't seen it yet. And now I am off to Netflix to add it.

Also, I recommend Aika R-16: Virgin Mission. It happens before the events of Agent Aika when Aika is still in ,what I believe is, high school. It was great. Its short, but it makes up for it in boobies. It is not a porn/hentai though.

It's worth it. The Engilsh version is worlds better, though.

Sounds like Grenadier, which, coincidentally, is also worth a watch.

...Okay, now I need to re-watch Grenadier.

If you don't mind massive amounts of pop-ups, you can just watch it here. It's more convenient than waiting for Netflix. Also, watch it dubbed. The English voices are SO much better than the Japanese voices.

Meh, Grenadier was good for boobs, nothing else. I literally only got through it because of her giant tits.

Additions!

Where the Wild Things Are wouldn't be my first choice for a movie to watch (or third or eighth). I'd never read the source material or cared to. But some lady friends were going to see it and said, "Wanna go?" and I couldn't think of any good reason not to, so I gave it a chance. Thing is... there's not much to say about it. Hardly anything even really happens. And the monsters all have these weird emotional problems that are never explained. We never get any back story, and the world Max visits seems empty except for them. They're prone to bickering and mini-breakdowns. Everybody will be having fun and all of a sudden some a*****e has to pitch a fit about something. And one even rips off another's arm. If I'd not known better, I wouldn't have even called it a kids' movie. And when all is said and done, Max doesn't learn anything! He doesn't change his ways, taught a valuable lesson by the monsters. He just goes back home and has a late dinner with his mom. Sorry if I'm spoiling, but nothing really even happens, so... I was thoroughly bored.

Watchmen I'd seen in theaters, expecting your standard Spiderman/Batman/Superman action flick with gorgeous city line shots and crime fighting. But what I got was a combination character study-alternate reality-super hero-drama. While watching it, I didn't think it was that great. But as time went on after seeing it, I steadily liked it more. So I bought the original graphic novel and read it over. And then last night I got the Director's Cut edition in the mail and gave it a watch. I didn't notice a whole lot added in, but the +24 minutes brought the length to a solid 3 hours (2:59:34 to be exact). That said, I was never bored through the whole thing. Everything that happens serves a purpose, even if the actual plot line (who murdered Edward Blake? + subplots) covers maybe 30 minutes. The special effects are gorgeous, a great soundtrack of some 60s-70s-80s hits, and even with Dr. Manhattan's presence, the whole movie comes off as undoubtedly real. You just lie back and watch this alternate reality and all its people mill about in a hard time, made harder by their own difficult pasts. Don't let me make you believe there's no action. The fight scenes are solid and the deaths bloody, but not gruesome except to actually add to the feel of the story (what a concept!). With the second viewing, I even caught a few things I hadn't noticed that made the story fit together better. If you have the attention span and can look a little deeper, it's a great flick. Thoroughly enjoyable.

My friend pissed himself about this movie and watches it every other night (the intervening nights are taken up by a Transformers movie), and then when it came out he immediately bought it on Blu-Ray. He's the only person I know with a Blu-Ray player, and he's mister "let me spoil everything for you before you while the opening title is rolling", so I guess I'm stuck waiting until someone else I know gets it.

Bioshock I'd gotten a few months ago, but decided on a whim to jump back into where I left off. After going through Metroid Primes 1 and 2 on Wii, the game felt incredibly stiff. My character felt slow, could barely jump, and that immediately put me off. Then I noticed how many damn turrets are all over the place. And how I never get anywhere in the game, I just find a locked door with someone behind that tells me to get such-and-such useless item for him so he'll open it for me. Then it happens again. So I'm not really interested in finishing it. I got the Chemical Thrower, that's enough for me.

Fallout 3 I must have added to my Amazon cart and taken it off half a dozen times. But about a week ago, also on a whim, I just ordered it without thought. And I just got it in today. I started off not thinking much of it, and being pretty lost. But then I found Megaton, and worked up the courage to take on the raiders in the elementary school. I dropped some punk-wannabe skank and took her .32 revolver and used it to earn myself a 10mm pistol. And when I told the mayor about Burke's evil scheme, Burke went and shot the poor guy in the back! Naturally I administered retribution and ended up with a suppressed 10mm and a Chinese Assault Rifle. Now I'm working on finding the Family and getting a mine for Sarah Palin. And all in a few hours. I know I'm barely into the game, and I already love it...

You need to finish that game. BioShock is honestly one of the best FPS games I've played in a long time. The visuals, the story, the unique take on combat, I loved it all.

As for it feeling slow, to me it felt a lot like what Doom 3 could have been.

I don't know, it might just not be for me. As for Fallout 3... my damn controller finally gave out a few minutes ago. It'd been going out off and on whenever I had the cord at the wrong angle, steadily worsening over the last year or so since I've had it. Luckily I was able to plug in a Guitar Hero controller and managed to navigate to the menu and save. xd

Tomorrow I need to make a trip to the local game rental place...

But I did manage to down a Raider with a flamethrower, and pick up another assault rifle. The flamethrower raider and another with a machine gun of some sort were coming down a road behind me while I was in the back of a trailer, trying to sneak up on me. If they'd cut me off I would have been done for! I had to run toward them at first, then I got around the side and started backing off, firing at the flamethrower guy with my rifle while I was in cover from the machine gun user. That way I was safe from both. I managed to hold up behind a burnt out car and finish off the flamethrower guy. But the machine gunner struck the car, and it started to catch fire. I ran across the road to hide behind some trees when it blew, taking the machine gunner with it. Then a little nuclear cloud erupted. I've seen those pop up before, and I think it's the Fatman launcher. Since I didn't know where the shooter was I ran for the downed flamethrower guy, took his stuff, and ran off.

It's great how that game is like a bunch of little adventures in the post-apocalyptic world. You can run around and explore and get new weapons... I've got a 10mm pistol, .32 revolver, .32 rifle, laser pistol, sawn-off shotgun (double barrel with a pistol grip and short barrel), Chinese assault rifle, and some various melee stuff. I sold the flamethrower (seems wasteful and limited to me), and I'll probably sell the .32 revolver. I love it because it was my first gun, and is a revolver, but I never use it.

Come to think of it, I've only ever seen those "little nuclear clouds" right after an explosion in the area. They might just be mines, detonated by the nearby explosions. And maybe I just never noticed the cloud on a normal mine because I'm always too close when they go up.

Do any of you guys play this game? Because I want to talk about it with someone.

I have to wonder, though, how the .32 pistol and .32 rifle take the same ammunition. Might just be for simplicity or making the game easier.

well, I think it's a bit of a mixture of gun noobery and making things easier, coding and player wise.

Yeah, cars in Fallout are nuclear-powered.

Armas, you want the ultimate revolver? Find yourself a Scoped .44. I've picked off Enclave Eyebots from the edge of the map with that sucker.

I love me some scoped .44, but Lincolns rifle is like sex in my power armored hands. Then again, I am a sucker for lever actions.

After beating the main quest I cheated and got the Mysterious Stranger's .44 Magnum.
It does INSANE damage, takes down those giant mutant overlords in ONE shot.

Only thing is that the rate of fire seems slower than the scoped .44.
