If we're talking about Aussie foods, that doesn't lead to much, but I'd have to say ANZAC biscuits or vegemite on toast.

This is probably off the topic because you are saying snacks but you can't go past pie's and tomato sauce(dog eye's and dead horse) or fish nd chips(escpecially the ones from Fingal Bay and at Chish nd Fips at Valla Beach)

I love tim tams too.
But vegemite on toast with a drink of milo is hard to beat! heart

I guess it could be considered australian but my ideal snack is Farmers Union Iced Coffee which alas can only be (easily) found in south australia (although on rare occasions i can find it at a local shop if i'm lucky)

Besides that i can't really think of much else australian taht i like i hate meat pies (prefer chicken), vegaminte (mmm prominte is way better), pavalova (just bareable so long as theres a THICK layer of cream and chocolate over the pav on ALL sides), lamingtons (only if there filled with jam and cream) and all the rest.

I'm a huge chocolate fan so i'll say cadburys (if thats au) and tim tam shots (with coffee)

♥ Vegimite on toast = omfgyummyness! xDD But also gotta love Pies zomg not to mention good old Fish 'n Chips whee But theres to many good snack foods so its hard to chose definate favorites >3< heart ♥

Fritz. It's called something else in other parts of the world but it is only called fritz in South Australia. biggrin

Vegemite on toast is my favorite Australian food.

for those in the eastern states, Fritz is Devon (man, they get annoyed when i call it fritz). i can remember as kid having fritz and pickled onion sandwiches for lunch at school

lunaminx: try coles supermarkets. they usually sell the 2 litre bottles in the fridge secton. best iced coffee in the world!

others i like... dont mind tim tams and roo, but i love ANZAC biscuits. not these process made ones, but home made chewy ones. they are the best
