Freedom is not merely the opportunity to do as one pleases; neither is it merely the opportunity to choose between set alternatives. Freedom is, first of all, the chance to formulate the available choices, to argue over them -- and then, the opportunity to choose.
Name: Nidawi (formerly Nasrin) Meaning: Fairy (Nat. Amer.) Nicknames: Ni, Nida
Species: Lion Gender: Female Birthday: June 12th Age: Adult
Pride/Pack: Jini-misemi Rank: Huntress
Familiar: ---
Seer?: No
PR color: #FF3333
Born the only daughter of the king of a small pride, Nidawi has a sense of nobility about her. She is polite and patient, acting like the princess that she is. But having been spoiled rotten as well, she can be childish and a little naive. She always looks on the bright side of things and often goes out her way to make those close to her heart happy.
A long time ago Nidawi left her home wanting to be independent and free to make her own choices and has vowed to never let anyone take that away from her again. For the most part she is very understanding and forgiving, but like everyone else she has her limits.

Nasrin was born into a small and very spiritual pride. Being the only daughter of the King, he was very overprotective of her. He only saw her as 'daddy's little girl' even when she wasn't so little anymore. Wanting to make sure she was safe and happy he basically managed her life. Nasrin put up with it for the most part but when her father decided to pick a mate for her himself, she realised just how limited her freedom was. She decided to run away. And so she did.
The problem?
Daddy wasn't going to let her go just like that.
He sent a couple of their best trackers to bring her back. The two males caught up to her quickly and her efforts to resist them were futile. Just when all hope seemed lost two roars reached her ears. Another two males, just adolescents, had come to her rescue. With surprise on their side they managed to drive the other two away. That was the first time Nasrin met Hitaahita and Tekenya.
Grateful that they had saved her, Nasrin decided to stay with the boys. She traveled with them for many months time and over time their group grew to six members - Nasrin, Hitaahita, Tekenya, Semira, Mysmyr and Ilmatar. They were a very diverse group but somehow managed to get along. Over time they became a sort of family. When they came across the Swap pride they joined together, thinking they had finally found a place to call home.
Soon, however, it became apparent their new home was not the safe haven she imagined it would be. Several lions were found brutally murdered. No one knows who or why they did it.
Shortly after they arrived Nasrin, now called Nidawi, gave birth to her first litter - three beautiful and healthy cubs. Being young and a bit immature she felt unprepared for motherhood and all the killings that had happened recently made her fear for her children's safety. Because of that she decided to let two of her cubs go with their father, Achal, to his harem where they would be raised by him and his Banu in a safe and loving home. Viho, her oldest son, stayed with her.
Eventually, it was revealed that the murder was one of her make-shift family - Mysmyr. The discovery hit her hard and she felt guilty for bringing that horror into the lands of the pride and even contemplated leaving. However, she was tired of moving all the time and she decided she did not want to leave pride life behind. Even more so because of her still young son Viho
