RP Text color: PurplePersonality: Nothing can ever bring this lion down. Ever since he was a cub, he was always happy and looking for new ways to share his joy with others. He'd bring presents to strangers, help anyone who needed it, and always go out of his way to cheer up someone who was having a bad day. When misfortune befalls him, Pauo'le simply accepts that it is a part of life and does not let his attitude turn sour because of it.
He feels rather sorry for those who have a negative outlook on life. He believes that they could be so much happier if they simply chose to be that way, and he tries to share this philosophy with anyone who will listen. Life is what you make it in his opinion! He has a great respect for all living things, particularly those that end up being his lunch. He feels sorry for them, but knows that the circle of life must continue.

 History: He lived nearby when the earthquake hit and managed to live only because of the help he received from the vulture, Kamea (The one and only. Does not exist yet.). She's stern, and keeps him from getting out of hand with his cheerful, overly-excited antics. In fact, the reason Pauo'le ended up in such a bad situation is because he tried to help a trapped hyena pup who was stuck under some rubble. He succeeded, but a series of aftershocks left him isolated in an unfamiliar area.
Kamea found him and lectured him for his stupidity. A lone pup would almost certainly die out here anyway, and the lion had just risked his life for it. Kamea helped to guide Pauo'le to safety, for which he will be eternally grateful. Without Kamea, he would have surely wandered alone and probably ended up stuck again. The vulture's advice saved him from certain disaster many times before they found their way out, and Kamea decided that Pauo'le needed a pride to keep him out of trouble. The Aka'Mleli was just the place, in her eyes. There, she could keep an eye on him while still allowing him to help others and spread his joy to everyone in sight.
She just has to make sure he doesn't do anything stupid. She's slowly teaching him that he occasionally has to put his own safety first, even if he feels like he should help.

 History: As a young bird, Kamea was just like any other. She liked to play with the other birds, fly around in circles, and all that good stuff. As she grew older though, she became more serious. She had seen so much death, being a vulture, and often saw creatures take their last breath before devouring them. She came to a realization that life is precious, and should never be wasted with foolish antics. One should use their brains to ensure their own survival, or they'll end up being her dinner.
Once she met Pauo'le, she knew he needed her help.
Their histories are the same from there on. The two travel together and Kamea keeps Pauo'le in line. She isn't sure why, but she feels an odd need to protect him from himself.
