While holding back a smile, which I did a lot, I calmly caress the inner makings of this fine gents garments. His body lay motionless, unrifled within the proximity of my reach across along the cold stone floor in an ally. It was dark but I could see with my hands. The first sound of coins clanking together shot vibes all throughout my body. ‘Jack pot,’ my mind unloaded with joy. Minutes latter I staggered into the nearest tavern, three streets away from my drugged victim who was now penniless. I tipped my hat to the faces that drew to me with my entrance and quickly found a place in the crowded bar. With one drink ordered and a few sips down I had now successfully broken any ties I had with the crime. Modern day investigations wouldn’t be able to look into it any further. The first step of course went with my conscience. I felt justified any way. I really needed a new supply of drugs for my finest catches. No fishy with as much gold as the bloke I just ruined went down unless they never even knew they went down. My biggest weapon was my looks and charms but no woman was a huge target. They never had a lot of money. Any man that fell for my look, well, not the guy I want to be around anyway. In my opinion, weapons were much uncivilized in my line of work so I rely on chemicals and shiftiness of the hand. That doesn’t mean I’m not well adept with a weapon. I carried a fine rapier at my side, a knife in my boot, shoulder, waste, and chest, and not to mention my finest, the hidden blade concealed along my wrist. Tonight makes the end of the full moon. Tonight, I drink!

Angela slowed to a stop and smiled, "You live in these woods long enough sir and you learn how to move around them with ease. As my father said, with time and practice everything becomes a breeze in the wind." As she mentioned her father she started to sob, she had yet to hear of his fate. "Oh father, what in the heavens have they done with you. And momma! Oh momma!"

Leo looked at the girl sympathetically, "Your father is alright, he was the one who tasked us with finding you my dear. He is in town as we speak, awaiting your return to his bosom." As for her mother there was nothing that Leo could say.

The girl wrapped her arms around Leo as he patted her on the back telling her that it would be alright. She cried on his shoulder for a minute before sulking off a ways into the woods to be alone.

"Dwight, I think me and you should get a head start on returning to the town. Every second we delay there is ever the more chance that the town will be taken. They must be warned of the guards immediately. Even if they have not usurped the town the people will be in much danger, for they will believe the guards to be one their side.

“This is a sad truth you speak Leo. I do not like the idea of leaving my men behind and nor do I like the idea of leaving this unstable woman alone with them. Not that I don’t trust them, they just might not be the best at comforting someone.” Dwight started as he worked to hide a worried look. The troubling thought of Angela’s mother left a lump in the back of his throat. There was no way she was still alive. There was no way Dwight could pass that news on. He quickly pushed the thought out of his mind and turned back to Leo. “Regardless this is something that must be done. If we can round up a few villagers to assist us before anything gets started then we will be much better off. Let’s get back to the town.” Dwight added. He was ready to go, ready to fix this whole mess.

“You’re leaving then Dwight? You can trust us. We will have the camp set up and out of sight. You know the call if you need us!” Anthony said, shaking hands with Dwight. The others exchanged head nods and fist pumps. They all had high hopes for Dwight and Leo.

“As much as I want it boys, I hope I won’t need it. You keep her safe now and don’t scare her away.”

“Oh come now Dwight, what are you trying to make us out to be? You don’t find us scary do ya Angela?” Mastiff asked with a broken smile. He was missing a few teeth and the rest seemed to fill in the spaces unkemptly.

“Right, Leo, lead the way.”

Leo and Dwight took off into the forest before the rest, they still had a ways to go before they reached the town, and every second they had was precious. "When we get there Dwight try and act as normal as possible, at least until we gauge what is going on." Leo said as they hustled through the woods.

In a while they were nearing the edge of the town, a dark smoke could be seen rising into the afternoon sky. Leo sighed, "That doesn't look exactly promising now does it? Lets make a move and get there quickly." Leo started sprinting in the direction of the smoke.

((Decided that it would be pointless and a waste of time to write up what we did IRL so we are just gonna keep going from where we left off...))

Leo looked across the fountain square the the window of the Magistrate's office. Bodies were laying about in pools of their own blood, and smoke from burning buildings could be seen in the distance. Further down the square he could see the guards barracks. The distance, the fading light of evening, and the smoke only allowed Leo to make out the small moving shapes of archers sitting on top of the barrack's roof.

The barracks was the last major point that the group had yet to liberate. They had fought through the housing district to inn and had stormed the Magistrate's office. Many lives had been lost, yet there would still be more blood yet to follow. The barracks would be the best defended and most fortified building in town. It would be a real struggle to break into it and kill the guards.

Apparently the guards had been pulling back into the barracks from all around town while Leo and Dwight's group stormed the magistrate's office. Men coming from the other sections of town that they hadn't personally gone through were reporting about the general retreat all evening. The estimated death count was about half of the guard and 200 citizen's dead since the bloodshed began.

Leo sipped at a bottle of wine he had "liberated" from the office as he looked at the couple of shops lining the square. Those had yet to be taken either. Guards were rolling up barrels and turning over carts in front of them to provide cover. They were making some type of hall with them as the put the barrels and carts parallel to each other in a V shape from the barracks towards the Magistrate's office. The opening between the lines of barrels was enough for a couple men to move about. Leo smiled, the guards knew they wouldn't be able to hold them off the barrack's walls, the barrels were just to slow them down.

Taking a last sip of wine Leo threw the bottle out the window and laughed. He walked over to the stairs and hollered, "Dwight, we need to start planning how we intend to take the barracks."

“From what we can se I only see that entrance. I’m guessing there is more. We will have to somehow spit there force so they aren’t focused entirely on us. We either need a distraction or do something that’s going to make us a tank. We could get a few lack smiths up here to combine all of the guard’s fallen armor and make us something that will protect us while we head for the doors. What say you Leo?” Dwight asked taking a sip of his own drink. The rest of the men celebrated in the next room with a crowd of villagers. They played music and danced as if everything was over. “Good fighting today by the way. It has been nice to stand by your blade. This may sound weird but who are you? Leo you can remain that way to the others but I get this feeling there is more to you then you are saying.”

Leo smiled coily as he took a drink from a flask of whiskey that was being passed around the room, "I am just a traveling do gooder such as yourself. Someone who took it upon themselves to help out the poor people of this village from tyranny," Leo said in a slightly elated manner, it was obvious he was lying but was not going to spill the truth anytime soon.

Leo looked back at the group of men feasting in the next room, "As to your plan, I don't think it will work. It would require to much time to gather up the material and then get the smiths to forge it together. Hell the forges are down that square still in the jurisdiction of the guards anyway. My idea would to be pry some of the alchohol away from the men and use it to lite up some of those barrels, get the fire spreading real nice. Throw some cloth on the tops of the jars and toss em, should do the trick. Force them from their poistions in no time flat. IF we are lucky some of them will flee towards us instead of back to their armory. That will be a b***h to get though."
