Which Cub Are You Trying For? Spots
Cubs Name: Mesen’shay
Meaning: Born of sand (sort of, I’m probably breaking several Egyptian grammatical rules here.)
Health Status: Diseased, but it will only start to show during his late juve, or eary adol stage. Slow progression = more angst.
Personality: Shay will grow up to be a very controlled little boy. He never shouts or cries out loud and moves with more care and restraint than most cubs. After he first hears about the disease, and learns more about it, his behaviour will escalate to the point when he no longer wants to be touched for fear of getting the disease. Much like a “girls have cooties”-phase that lasts longer than it should since the cooties he’s afraid of are real and quite deadly. No attempts to talk him out of it will be successful, and fear of the disease will rule his life until his greatest fear is realised and pestilence finally claims him.
At first he will be in denial, he did everything not to catch it after all. He will probably go through an angry phase too, where he blames his mother for taking them there and for infecting them in her womb. When he finally accepts his fate he will be a bit calmer than before, but he will still be hesitant to touch others. His fear of the disease will probably be redirected to a fear of infecting others. There is no chance of him ever trying to leave, or even taking a job that would take him near the border. Priesthood is probably the most likely path for him.
What Do You See His Relationship Like With his Mother & Siblings?: A bit distant to those that show signs of illness. He does care, but he can’t bear to touch diseased pride members, family or not. I imagine this could lead to hurt feelings, but I hope at least some of his family will understand and love him despite his shortcomings. He will lash out at his mother and say some things he might regret *points at personality blurb* and he will feel very guilty about it later. Hopefully they can patch things up even after that.
Anything Else of Note?: He’ll probably talk to me more as I RP him, but that’s my plan up there. Might tweak it as I go along and get to know him better. I intend to RP him and while I can be a bit slow when life gets in the way I do follow through and finish what I start.
