About her: They were like a pair of dearly departed souls finally uniting as one. She, being once a slave and used in many ways while he- the lion whom bought this lovely lioness, was a respected one amongst his pride. Though he seemed more careless than the others whom previously owned her. As the days grew he trusted her and gave her all. In return she thought the only way to escape the slave life was to kill him.. but the night she tried to do it, she found she couldn't for she had fallen for him. Not only she had it in for him, another unknown to her- came in the night and killed him off. His own son- from a previous litter. Come to find out later. Horrified she leaped to save him, as the other was distracted in the fight. But after all was done- her paws were greeted with... the dead. Losing the only one she loved.. Only then looking at his blank eyes, did she realize how much she loved him and coiled beside him.. through the night.

Undeterred, Kali spent the next several days with him, conversing about little things and big things, and the days turned into a full season, whereby the two had gotten so used to each other's presence that when the time came for Kali to leave, she found she couldn't bear to be without Alaricus at her side. The lion agreed, seeing as Kali had succeeded in bringing smiles and laughter to his life. His eyes no longer dimmed with sadness, but glowed with joy whenever she was near. It was but half a season later Alaricus asked Kali to be his mate. She happily agreed, and the two have been content to be together since then.

About her: There was no doubt at all. Kame was very clearly mad. Oh, not in the dangerous or threatening way. In fact, Kame couldn't seem to do harm to much of anything, save when hunger took her will away. She usually was quite thin as a result, but this was not what made her mad. In fact, her suitor had managed to entirely not see the insane side of her for a long, long while. This was because he was so vain, so demanding, he was always in her face, giving her little time to think on anything else, to even see much of anything else. For one blissful week, she had his love, or so she thought. He left to hunt for them and was gone long enough for her to settle back into her normal patterns. he returned to find her happily chatting with a crack in the wall. It was a completely harmless quirk, that she felt that anything with an interesting, distinctive mark was talking to her... but there it was. The more she tried to explain, the wilder a look he gave her until he finally simply darted out of the makeshift den and into the gathering night. Baffled and feeling distinctly abandoned, she has been wandering on her own again... never alone, for she has all sorts of things to talk to!

When Nasua figured out a way to escape, at first Hewa was afraid to put her trust in the male. But, when he was willing to stay in the area and bring her food until she was ready to run, affection for him grew. It was lucky Hewa finally decided to run, for the very next day the human got frustrated with the project and shot the wild dogs that were left.

About her: From birth Orlaith had been treated like a princess by her family. She was used to filling the role of a dainty lady, just as she was used to Revanta being her intended. Revanta was a handsome lion who had this never ending patience about him (something he needed for she tended to be rather short tempered and passionate). They were close growing up and by the time she was a young adult she found herself taking him for granted. She didn’t think of him as a mate, more of a brother, so it was extremely easy for her to fall to temptation. A rogue male handsome as could be took her attention away from Revanta and she soon found herself running after him, hurting her actual mate deeply in the process. It was only when she had abandoned Revanta and that male turned into nothing but a fling that she realized she had lost the one she truly loved to an empty infatuation.

While Themba was the more troublesome of the pair Khalid was her stalwart partner - always and forever ready to back her up with whatever story flew from her mouth when they were caught. Days in the nersury were limited however and all to soon the pair grew to old for such things, both grew..filled out and became productive members of the pride, although they did not spend as much time together as they had when they were cubs they remained friends through thick and thin and celebrated together the announcements of thier future matings. It should have been a happy time for the two lions but as the time of the ceremony drew closer both realized something that should have been apparant from the very begining - they were in love with one another. Facing life in the pride unhappy and mated to someone the did not love was an unbarable thought and so n the dead of night the two lovers slipped away...off to make thier own destanies.
