Rank: Shadow - This rank is for the stealthy, the circumspect, the wily. Those of this rank actually leave the pride's territory and roam into the roguelands and into neighboring territories. They are quiet, observant, and absolutely silent about the pride they are from. They tell none of their home, of their people, of their ways, or of their beliefs. Their job is to spy out trouble, to nose into the doings of their neighbors, to ferret out plots against the pride, and to relay these things back to the King, Queen, and Council.

Janja was given this role after a cubhood spent slipping up behind others without being noticed and overhearing what he should not. It was not out of malice, but merely that he was shadow-colored and very light-pawed. The older he grew, the more wily he became about whom he snuck up on and how he used the information he learned. It was never to the intentional detriment of anyone, but occasionally it backfired.

Finally he grew bold in his wanderings and drifted beyond the borders. He slipped up close to a trio of hyenas in the dark of night and overheard their plottings. It didn't have to do with the pride itself, for the smelly canines didn't realize there even was a pride. They did know that there were some lions living within a sheltered area, however, and the plot was to aggrivate them by slipping in and nabbing a cub. However impossible it was for the creepers to do this, Janja immediately carried word of this to his father. Before the interlopers could even begin their attempt, they were driven away. Thus a new rank was born, and Janja was the first to bear it.

Name: Fnu Tìran "Quiet Walk"

Personality: Fnu takes pride in her skills while not being conceited. She focused so hard at being an excellent hunter, but when she got to that level of skill, she felt like a part of her was missing. Now she longs for a mate and cubs of her own. She wants her life to fall into her own expectations, and when that doesn't happen she gets frustrated and snippy.

How does she feel about having a twin She doesn't know anything but having a twin. He's her brother and while she was close with him as a cub, as they've grown up they've also grown apart. He's very close to deciding on whether he'll mate with Clerm or not and there's absolutely nothing (as potential mates go) on her horizon. She's a little jealous about his situation and secretly a little unsure of a female who'd have a fling, out of pride or no. She hopes whatever he decides that he will be happy.

Backstory:Muiä was but a cub when the invading pride tried to take their lands. She'd been in the care of a brave babysitter during an attack. Though fatally wounded the babysitter was able to herd the cubs to a hiding spot deep in the jungle away from the violence. He'd died a couple days later and some of the cubs he was watching soon followed, unable to fend for themselves.

The older cubs had done their best under the less then perfect leadership but they couldn't save everyone. Eventually it was just Muiä and a male cub left. It was lean times for them as they taught themselves hunting and survival techniques. They grew very close as the time passed and they became juveniles. So close they could almost read the other's mind.

Muiä was shattered when the male juvenile was killed while they were trying to return to their lair in an intense and sudden rain storm. He'd slipped from a downed tree that they used for a bridge. She knew she wouldn't be able to survive on her own and decided to chase the faint memories of her early cubhood and search out the pride that she was whisked away from so early.

When she found it she was the worse for wear. Slowly she adapted back into the pride and found herself most at home with the cubs. She decided that she should apprentice under one of the babysitters so that she could honor the one that had saved her life so long ago and because Muiä didn't think she could handle hunting without her partner. The more time she spent with the cubs the more her wounded heart healed.

Now as an adult, she's very tender and loving to cubs. But with everyone else that's not involved in her daily cub duties she's rather shy and withdrawn. It's something she hopes to work on in the future.

Rank: Fya Karyu- means "Way Teacher". This rank belongs to one lion and that lion's apprentice. The responsibilities of the rank include teaching the cubs the traditions of the pride as well as testing the new arrivals once their week of learning has passed. They keep the history of the pride very carefully. (The reason no one knows when the Na'vi started living in their jungle is clear, the apprentice of a Fya Karyu long ago left the pride in disgrace right before he was to take over. The old Fya Karyu did his best to train a replacement, but only got so far before he died.} Way Teachers also help the priests with the ceremonies and events within the pride. The requirements for the job is that the potential Fya Karyu must have an excellent memory and an accomplished singing voice to sing the history and lore. The Fya Karyus are there for the pride and are often known as good peace keepers and a bit more available then the king and queen.

Personality Kilvan is a fun loving cub. Tussling with his brother and parents is something he vastly enjoys. However, everyone noticed early that when Kilvan starts something he hates to be pulled away from it. He does his best to finish whatever he's started and if he's pulled away will remember to come back to it.

He has a surprisingly long attention span for a cub, which is definitely a blessing and a curse. There's only so much "Why? Why? Why?" lions can take. Adults have learned not to say anything naughty around him because not only does he remember (and repeat) what was said, but also remembers who said it in the first place.

Born into the pride, Tanhi found herself a cub with a fondness for wandering. Though her paws were hardly ever still, there wasn't a moment in time that the youngling didn't find something she believed to be beautiful. Each and every naturally occurring thing around her was something to be marveled at, and the one thing the cub always dreamed of was the stars. Each bright speck inspired her, and she became the sort to love wandering about, finding items that looked akin to her beloved astral bodies, and creating things out of them. As she grew, Tanhi'awve aspired to be amongst the other Cubs, to teach them about the things she'd learned from just being silent, and watching. Each little thing that one might find ordinary has some form of beauty to it, and the female wishes to ensure that future generations of the Na'vi understand that as well as she.

Yawne is the sort to listen before she speaks, liking to know what's happening before anything is said, since misinterpretation can lead to conflict, which the young lioness isn't fond of. Her paws are dainty, and her mind full of ideas. She enjoys creating things for others, and she is chock full of creativity, with not only colors, but items as well. She'll never turn her back on either her brother, or any of her family, or the Pride. WIth a motherly instinct, Yawne is very devoted and kind, with a gentle paw, and a soft spoken manner about her. Trustworthy as well, she will make sure that any commitment she gives herself over to is completed 100%
How does she feel about having a twin
Being of the personality that she is, Yawne'itetsyip is more than delighted to have a twin. She believes them to be closer than any other sibling, and is more than happy to run to his side to aid him in any endeavor.

Personality
Calm and level headed, Hi'i'upxare finds himself more of the outside-looking-in sort of cub. His heart's set on making sure his brothers and sisters are happy, and the youngling's much the giving sort. He likes to offer his help to anyone who needs it, and finds a great deal of joy in the smiles on another's face. Always the one to greet someone with a friendly "Oel gnat kameie, tsmukan/tsmuke"(I See you, Brother/Sister), Hi'i'upxare is diplomatic, and always loves to tumble around. Still playful, he reacts to things with a cub's emotion still, though shows potential to mellow greatly as age comes.

Prompt reply: Mawey'aw had seen his friend disappear to the hammocks and his heart hurt for her. He knew at once what others had been saying was true, that she and Kerusey had had another fight. Sighing a bit Mawey'aw plunked his head down on his paws, his mindd turning over with ideas to make her feel better. There had been several times before he had comforted her after an argument or when she was feeling down. He wanted to outdo himself this time, he wanted to show her he would always be there for her, even if he couldn't have her for himself. So badly did he wish that he could whisk her away for his own, show her that her heart, her sense of pride, her dignity, didn't have to be hurt for the process of love.

It was then that his eyes were caught by a beautiful sight. A single flower had blossomed on a small branch of a dying tree. The branch was sturdy and the flower was luminous and beautiful. Smiling Mawey'aw gently grabbed the branch and gave it a sharp tug to detach it from the larger, dying part, and quietly he made his way to the hammocks. "Sister Satomi?" He mumbled behind his gift. When she would turn around he would carefully lay the branch at her feet. "I am here for you, your support, like this branch. Upon my strength you are a blossom of beauty and strength." He said simply, a smile creasing his features. "Do not hold your feelings in..." He said softly, urging her to accept his strength, his shoulder to cry on, once more. Whether he could have her or not, he would care for her with all his heart.

Personality: Kakarauri is very strong and proud of her abilities and dark beauty. Her pride, however, forms an aura of aloofness that makes it very difficult for anyone to get close to her. Though she'd never let it show, Kakara has grown very lonely and thus more distant. It's a vicious cycle that she longs for someone to break through.
How does she feel about having a twin Being a twin is a gift from Eywa. With her twin she knows there is always someone that understands her. She adores her brother and respects him greatly, but there is an undercurrent of bitterness, since their relationship seems to be the only close partnership she can achieve.
