Daddy's little Duplicate Cub name: Soifra Meaning: changling/ elven Personality: She takes a lot after her father - people think she's slow, but really she's just quiet and prefers to think before she speaks. Strangely enough, she does not have her father's size, being the smallest of the litter. Soifra prefers to be left alone rather then constantly surrounded by her family. She hates being diseased Any future plots/ideas: Watching Over You She'll be extremely protective of her other siblings - especially any younger ones that come around - and be frustrated that there isn't much she can actually do to keep them safe or control them, as bad as her disease is. She tends to watch them from afar to make sure they're ok, but sometimes people mistake her guardian habits for spying on them . . . BOO She has a bad habit of sneaking up on people and scaring them accidentally. Not sure where that would go . . . but I'm sure it could be RP fun. I Want to Be Where the People Are Soifra dreams of going out into the world like her father did. She wants to know what's out there. I'd like her to fall in love with newcomer to the pride who can tell her all about what's out there - whether he breaks her heart or stays can be plotted out later. DiseasedDiseased. Fairly severe - she won't be up for much physical activity.
Prompt #: 1 Prompt Reply: Soifra walked away from her father as the rest of her siblings and half siblings found him and charged around him, eager to play and climb over him. She had things to think about. Normally trees were fairly tough to climb, but there was a small one nearby that had a fallen branch that served as a ramp leading into the tougher branches. Soifra climbed onto it, and settled in to watch her family from a distance and think. She knew that Eva'raja wasn't her real mom, and that lots of her siblings didn't have the same mom as she did. But they all had the same daddy. And Eva was the lioness Daddy really loved, and he had loved her the longest, so . . . Daddy should be with Eva, and not with her Mom. Where ever she was. Daddy was pretty much the best lion she knew, and Soifra guessed that it didn't matter that her mom was't around. Eva was kind of like her mom anyway, and Daddy took care of them all. He didn't care that he didn't love their moms, he loved all of his cubs anyway. And she was sure her mom loved her. Maybe one day she'd meet her and she would tell Soifra why she had given up all of her cubs to the lion who didn't love her.
On some level, Soifra thought it wasn't fair that her family was strange like this - other cubs just had a mom and a dad and that was it. But strange or not, her family was her family. She focused her attention back to the furry pile that was her dad and her siblings, and resumed watching over them.

Daddy's Blue Star Cub name: Ailine Meaning: "Little Elf/Sprite"
Personality: Growing up with the illness so heavily on her shoulders, Ailine spends much of her life in the healer's den on the brink of life. Because of this, her true personality is not shown for much of her cub life. Instead, she is bitter and often angry, snapping at those who only mean to wish her well. That is, when she can even summon the energy to lash out at someone. When the bard [mentioned in the 'future plots' sections ] introduces her to stories of love, Ailine is completely hooked. Through these stories, she slowly begins to calm. The stories give her something to look forward to each day and through this, she is essentially given a reason to live.
As she grows and the illness begins to subside, the real Ailine begins to emerge. Instead of the 'angry at the world' cub she once was, she begin to mellow out and warm up to those around her. It is discovered that she is actually a caring mentor to younger cubs and especially those suffering from the illness because she can relate. Always a smile on her face, she reaches out to those less fortunate in order to bring them hope. She always sees the best in those around her and manages to keep an upbeat outlook on life even after all that has happened.
Diseased? As a cub, the illness will hit and it will hit hard. She was go through much of her young life on the brink of death. As a young adult however, the illness will subside to a degree that she will be able to finally become an active member of the pride. And as an adult, all signs of the illness will vanish. At this point, everyone will believe her to be one of the survivors and a future carrier of the disease. Late in life however [after a very long and happy life via rp], as an elder the illness will once again strike her down, and she will remain quite ill until the day she passes away [whenever that is. Not for a long long time in characterly ]
How will the cub deal with the sickness, both of herself (if diseased) and the other pride members: As a cub, she will not quite understand why she is so sick while her siblings can run and play. Because of this, she will be a rather angry cub. Towards other pride members, she is not the nicest and they often avoid her. Towards the sick however, she is calm and collected. Even though the illness ravages her body, she tries to remain positive towards them in order to give them hope to get better.
Future plots/ideas: [ this is long because it basically follows her entire life in steps. Sorry D: ]
Happily Ever After:: In an attempt to sooth the small cub after one of her violent fit that leaves her weak and gasping for breath, a bard begins to tell her a story about two lions from rivaling prides who fell in love. Essentially following the plot of Romeo and Juliet, Ailine is completely enraptured. A newfound passion for love stories emerges.
With Bated Breath :: She tries to convince the bard to tell her more stories like the Romeo/Juliet tale he had recounted. Seeing the miraculous change in the young cub's demeanor, he consents. They form a close friendship as he has essentially brought her back to life [figuratively speaking]. These stories mean the world to her and they slowly begin to change the cub. No longer angrily violent, she becomes a sweet hearted child who always sees the best in the world, no matter the circumstances.
A New Beginning As she grows, her interest in 'love' has grown as well. This is when the illness begins to subside and is finally, slowly, able to take control of her body for the first time in her life. She becomes almost obsessed with finding love. Still being sick, she is not allowed to leave the pride. And with every lion that she meets, she doesn't feel the 'connection' that she valued so much in the love stories. She becomes disillusioned with these tales that she once soaked up like a sponge and begins to realize that not every gets their happy ending.
Life Worth Living? This can go one of two ways.
A] Having given up on the idea of true love, Ailine, as a young adult, settles down with a lion whom she respects and cares about. They have a litter or two of cubs that she raises as any loving doting mother should. She is truly happy and openly does not regret the life she has chosen for herself. But still, in the back of her mind, she questions it.
Or
B] Having given up on the idea of true love, Ailine never really settles down. For the sake of the pride, she has several flings which results in cubs but she feels no emotional connection the fathers at all. She raises them with all the love and care in the world but she feels as though her life will forever be unfulfilled, though she cannot fully pinpoint why.
A Handsome Stranger Now fully 'cured' [not really, I promise :3], the pride believes Ailine to be a carrier of the disease and nothing more. Having been relatively free from illness most of her adult life, she seeks permission for the Queen to venture out to the rogue lands to have a fling and bring back new blood for the pride. [Hopefully ] the Queen accepts her proposal and Ailine begins her journey to the rouge lands. Once there, she finds a kind hearted rogue male [preferably non lion species, just cause ] and instead of sleeping with them, she begins to having feeling for them.
Collision of Hearts She falls in love. Truly deeply and helplessly in love. The rogue male means more to her than she ever thought imaginable. Once again, she begins to believe in the stories the bard told her as a cub and her faith is restored. Now this can go either of two ways.
A] The feeling is mutual. The rogue loves her with all his heart and is even willing to follow her back to the diseased pride and risk his life to be with her [unless he is a non-lion. Then there would be no risk inolved but he still loves her dang it xD]. Feeling complete at last, Ailine settles down with the male in the pride and they have a litter of beautiful cubs.
Or
B] As much as he cares for her, he either does not wish to join a pride or is scared off by the idea of this dangerous disease. Heartbroken, Ailine has a fling with him anyways so her trip to the rouge lands was not in vain and she has cubs to bring back to the pride.
Life's Fitful Fever Regardless of what happens above, Ailine lives a surprisingly long life for a lion in the Kitwana'antara. She sees the generations of cubs grow up in the pride and have cubs of their own. If the rogue male joined the pride with her, she remains a happy sweetheart who believes her life was put to good use in the pride. If the rogue male did not join her, then she remains a broken shell of the happy young adult she once was. She is kind hearted to those who approach her and always has time to help the sick or to teach young cubs, but inside she is bitter and sad.
As she grows older, she falls deeply ill again. The pride realize that she was not a carrier of the disease and it had instead only been dormant danger in her body. She steadily declines in health until she ends up in the healer's den where she once spent her childhood. She remains there for the rest of her life, still trying to keep a strong face for the younger lions who have fallen ill.

Daddy's Blue Star Cub name: Ula Meaning: A jewel of the sea Personality: Ula dislikes being alone, but given her massive amount of siblings and half siblings she's probably not going to have to be on her lonesome much. As a cub she can be annoyingly clingy at times, and she stays affectionate and very tactile for the rest of her life. She's the type of girl that can start to groom almost anyone out of the blue, and she likes to touch the ones she talks to. She tends to put others before herself, and frequently downplays her disease, stating it's "not that bad" even when she's obviously having a bad day.
She dislikes having to injure new members of the pride as part of their devotion, but she's too dedicated to Pestilence to refuse to do it. Her preferred method is to scratch with her claws and then kiss it better (infecting them just as effectively as if she had just bit them). Luckily she will only have to do this a few times in her life.
Diseased? Diseased that breaks out around juve/adol. Pretty bad for a while but it pans out giving her a sort of normal life, but with a slightly shorter life span than a normal lioness. She's got her ups and downs, and eventually dies from the disease. I think when she's middle aged or something like that.
How will the cub deal with the sickness, both of herself (if diseased) and the other pride members: As far as she is concerned, being sick is normal. She gets sick late juvenile/early adolescent and quickly embraces the identity of being diseased and marked by Pestilence. Everything is not sunshine and roses, but she accepts her fate and works with what she’s got. The healers will manage to keep her fairly stable, and she will have several good (and bad) years before she dies from the disease.
Future plots/ideas: As an adolescent and young adult she will start to realise how hard it will be for her to get a mate in the pride. Sliabh has fathered and adopted a lot of children so after weeding out siblings, half siblings, adopted siblings, already paired up lions and those she plain don’t like there’s not much left... This will push her towards a decision to become a matchmaker. She enjoys finding happiness and good matches for others, but secretly hopes that she’ll come across her perfect prince somewhere along the way... It's going to be hard, however, because she's dedicated to her work and might try to pair off someone she really likes with another female that might fit him better.
