IM ENTERING FOR MANLY MAN LIONN!! GIMME PIRATE BOOTY!
Name:Kubwa'Mguu | Mnyama'Alfajiri
Meaning: Big paw || Creeping Dawn
Personality: Kubwa was troubled at an early age and since it has caused many social behavioral problems. He has an obsession with taking things he likes without asking or reasoning. Because he was cub-napped he thinks it's okay to take other things and other animals. He was also taught to fight for what he wants to have or keep so he was always rather aggressive. Always winning his fights caused him to gain a bit of an ego and cockiness. He has yet to lose a fight.
Prompt Response:
He looked into her gold eyes as she struggled, it was no use, she would never be able to escape him. He swept his black tail over her "Shhhh...You'll be okay with me, the Maestros del mar will take care of us" he said trying to comfort her but his voice still deep and harsh. It brought memories of his cub hood. He was taken in the night from right under his mothers nose. He was an only cub and his father he never knew. They named him Kubwa'Mguu after his rather large paws. They seemed to benefit him in the end when it came to taking and fighting. Why they chose him he was unsure, perhaps it was for him to do their work for him. It was common for them to send him off to bring back shinnies or even other animals. The things he wanted to keep they taught him to fight for. If he won he kept it, if not they took it away, however he never lost. He soon grew to be an adult and decided to leave, he wanted better treasures to keep for himself.
His name became a cub night story about how if they were bad he would take revenge and take them away to work for him. He had a rather bad rep when it came to meeting others. Not many trusted him and some would even turn and run at the sight of him. He for this reason preferred to work at night using the shadows to his fullest advantage. He traveled searching for a place where he could settle down.
That is when he heard of the Maestros del mar, a pride of pirates. He was infatuated with the idea of living with others to fight, and gather treasures. It was all to perfect. However he did not want to show up treasure less, so he decided to find something no someone that he could take with him as his treasure. He was aware that this was one of the tests the pirates had, and bringing back some trinket would not be enough. He hoped by bringing someone back he could show them he meant business.
That is why he took this cheetahess, her beauty would be a great welcoming to the pride. He would bring her with him to please the pirate king and fellow pride mates. He hoped this pretty little lass would act as his trophy as a newcomer. He wanted to show these lions and other species he was worthy of being a pirate. He did not like her in the sense of mate but more in the sense of something he treasured by his side. He was hers for the keeping and he would make sure of that.
The thought of the female brought up the attention of that other female lioness that was so in love with him. He did not understand why he attracted the attention of her eyes. He did not fancy her in the slightest bit, he was rather appalled by her pelt colors. Not only that but the idea of her being so openly free to loving him was no appeasing. He wanted a challenge, a true chase, a real hunt for his future mate. Someone who was as cocky as him and would challenge him to his fullest.. Even so he was constantly turning his head the other way when she approached or talked to him. The only thing he admired about her was the fabulous purple in her eyes.
However she would have to leave him alone and find someone else. He was not her treasure to keep nor would he ever be. He kept a distant almost hostile relationship when she was around, he didn't want her to think he liked her.
Along with the taking of the cheetahess upon the arrival at the Maestros del mar he also took the name Mnyama'Alfajiri as his pirate name. For now he settles as a crewman and hopes to make his way up in ranks till he is a first mate or even a captain if he can.

Personality:
Abeni is a competitor. She likes to be the best at anything she is able to do and gets a thrill out of trying to obtain the unobtainable. She likes high risks with minimal confrontation, so she tends to try to be discreet about what she does. Abeni, however, never does anything that will cause harm to her pridemates or put her out of her place..aside from breaking a few hearts.
Prompt Response:
"I bet you can't get him to bed with you for the night," the lioness snickered, gesturing with a tilt of her head to the black and pink male trotting past with a female cheetah in tow, "He's obviously enamored with her."
Abeni's eyes narrowed and her tail twitched. She pawed at the ground then stamped, grinning at the other lioness.
Her pride sister purred, "Alright, I give you three suns...hope you don't mind if I take some bets," she stretched and stood, strutting away with a hum to announce the challenge.
Alone, the purple-eyed feline sat on her haunches to think.
Though now mute, she hadn't always been. As a cub she was loud and foul-mouth, to the point her mother made her eat terrible tasting fruit to get her to stop every time she was obnoxiously loud, impolite, or spat out curses. She gradually grew quieter and relied on her body langue to get her meanings across--her mother couldn't force-feed her nasties if she wasn't saying anything-- and mission accomplished, she beat the 'game.'
It took her years to learn how to properly express herself without speech; she actually grew to prefer that method as it gave her an air of mystery (and an edge with most males).
This new male was her new challenge, so for the next few hours she took her time slinking around to observe him. It was clear that he thought of the female cheetah as some sort of trophy--whether he actually had any interest in her further than that wasn't apparent, so the lioness shrugged it off. It was something she could handle easily.
The sun was lowering, and the big male finally let his cheetah companion leave his side. Abeni watched silently for a few moments, then started to follow him, gradually making her footsteps louder.
'Pinkie' eventually picked up on her padding and twitched his ear back, "I know you've been following me...what do you want?" He turned to face her, a bit annoyed.
Persona time.
She lowered her ears and head, seemingly submissive. The lioness looked up at him, widening her eyes and coming a bit closer before sitting, pulling her paws towards her body.
The male looked a bit confused and put off by her demeanor. It wasn't the bold answer he was suspecting, "W-what's wrong? Are you hurt?"
Abeni shook her head and got close enough to nudge his paw with her nose. He lifted it in response, even more baffled, "Are you cold?"
Her eyes lit up and she nodded, pressing her head against his chest. Pinkie stood still, then leap back, "No, sorry, I have things to take care of."
He quickly trotted off, a bit angry, leaving Abeni.
The lioness grinned, mildly triumphant. A break!
No matter he rejected her that night..she still had two suns to go.
