Oburos sighed and his shoulder's slumped. "It's not scary . . . It's a cave. It's not touched by Mortals! There's nothing scary about it. It will also protect us from the elements." he said, feeling a little exasperated.

Faye nodded slowly and removed her arms from around him. "With...you...safe." She said trying to get out the sentence. 'With you I'm safe.' Then took his hand and with a slightly pained and scared expression waited for him to take her back inside.

Oburos nodded, a bit absentmindedly. "Yeah." he said, leading her back to the cave, wondering when exactly had had become a parent. Cause he felt like the girl was just that. A girl who needed to be led around and raised right. Which made him the dad. Which was a role he never really wanted. But now that he seemed to have it, he couldn't exactly abandon it.

At the entrance to the cave Faye froze. Her eyes widened just a little bit before they darted randomly. Then in an instant her face turned to that of rage and without thinking she spun around and threw out her arm. The mortal stood no chance. In less than an instant flames erupted from the soldiers clothing and the more he struggled to put them out the worst they became until he was no more. Faye stood at that spot for a moment panting hard. She wasn't used to this power. Her body couldn't handle it. Her head hurt and her lip felt wet. She touched it and brought her fingers to view. Blood. The world started to fade. What the heck? She thought as her legs gave out from under her. Maybe she was going to die after all...Freedom...but a fleeting experiance...Good bye cruel world!!! ... oh wait... She paused in her mind ranting. Maybe I just need sleep?

Oburos caught Faye before she could hit the floor and looked around, nostrils flaring as he tried to catch any hint of any other humans in the area. His eyes darted around suspiciously, trying to catch sight of anything. Eventually he sighed and relaxed a little, picking up Faye and toting her into the cave, laying her down inside where she wouldn't be too affected by any wind or rain that might come.

Faye slept sound. Her body didn't move the entire time she slept. It felt weird. Her dreams were filled with fire. Which was a bad sign. At least she thought it was a bad sign. When she woke it was sudden and with an intake of breath. Her eyes darted around in the dark and for a moment she thought she was still in the cell and that her adventures were a dream. Then she scented Oburos and her body slumped with relief. "No' a dream." She muttered.

Oburos was sitting at the mouth of the cave, exposed to the elements and enjoying every minute of it. He was smiling as the wind picked up and buffeted him gently, bringing the scent of rain with it. Lightning flashed in the sky from a distant thunderstorm, and the normally invisible wings of the fae people could be seen in the sudden burst of light that came in the midst of night, fading as quickly as the light itself. He didn't even notice that Faye was awake.

Thunderstorm...Faye loved Thunderstorms. She raced out and started dancing grinning brightly spinning around.

Oburos chuckled as he felt, rather than saw Faye run past him to be out in the open. "So you enjoy the lightning then?" he asked, his eyes closed even as he enjoyed the sweet wind that carried the scent of rain.

"Yeah!" Faye cried as another flash lit up the sky then a loud bang seconds later. This was so much fun. She loved thunderstorms. They were always fun!

Oburos smiled. "Just don't get too carried away. There are still Mortals out there. I doubt they'll just let you go so easily." he said, leaning back slightly, ever alert despite appearances.

Flashes of memories assaulted her senses. Mainly memories of dancers. Maybe the blood they stole from the Fae and the Vampires held memories too... Without thinking she found a Rhythm to the lightning and danced more accurately to it. She too was on high alert. However it looked like the complete opposite of paying attention.

Oburos peeked one eye open, before they were both open, watching Faye. "Interesting." he said, watching her. "I haven't seen that in a while." he murmured to himself.

Faye continued to dance until the thunderstorm moved too far away that the thunder was quiet then she realised she was exhausted again and trudged back inside, muddy and sweaty from dancing. She'd find a river to bathe in tomorrow. She just wanted to sleep now.

Oburos smiled once Faye went back inside and went back to enjoying the elements until the sun rose.
