[EVENT] Hide and seek - Open!

Maybe a higher out look would be better for finding these cubs. The female had informed them of what colors to look for and it honeslty AMAZED Caius that they had yet to be spotted. Now he was almost certain that these cubs must have the gods on their side with how well they were hiding.

The male clawed his way up a tree until he reached a stable branch. There he stood and scanned the lower areas. Hrmmm..... This was much more difficult then he had originally thought. Cubs had never been this good at hiding when he was a kid. Maybe they needed some other cubs to find these cubs. Cubs were better at these games then older leopards after all. At least Caius thought so.

His paws were growing sore, likely due to the pouncing and clawing he was doing to find these guys. He just couldnt give up though. If he did, what sort of hero was he? No one would ever take him seriously again. He had already tried to save a damsel, who wasn't in distress.. and now he was trying to save cubs he simply couldnt find!

Landing on a convenient branch the golden bird pried in to the long grasses and bushes, hoping to spot one of the babies. They really were lost. Silly fluffy things.

Now she didn't even feel like talking anymore. Her eyes were hurting, her paws ached, and she felt like she was going to pass out. Just as she was going to give up, she heard rustling from close by. Her heart skipped a beat and she looked around. What was it? Was it one of the voices she was looking for? Now, with caution, she moved towards the rustling.

He watched the others, noting that they were having the same luck as he. That at least helped him keep going. If no one was finding anything, then who was to say it was just him that sucked at this? Yeah. That was a much more pleasing thought.

Meh. Maybe she just didn't care anymore. Maybe it would be best if these little brats were never found. After all, if they were brats, why would anyone even still want them? Hmph. How stupid. She should just abandon this search, but...

There were all of those cats looking around now! She didn't want to look silly and just leave! So, almost grudgingly, the bird continue to look about around rocks and under leaves.

Caius jumped to a higher branch to see if that might help. He could see more but maybe a hawks eye view had been a terrible idea after all. The leopard sighed and jumped back down to his lower branch and then clawed his way down to the ground level. Being on foot it was possible he had a better view all along. Even if it was very annoying.

The leopard kept at turning over rocks and searching behind brush like a champ. He wasn't about to give up on these playful cubs or this distressed female.

Just as she got close to it, the rustling stopped and a bird flew up from the branches of a bush. Groaning, she let out a frustrated cry and flopped herself down on the ground. "Damn it! I thought I had finally found you!" She called to the invisible things around her. "You tricked me, you dirty cheater!"

He sat down, irritation clear on his features. He stared out at the others, just doing nothing but staring. He needed to think. If he was a cub? Where would he go.. It didn't help much, as he hadn't been an overly adventurous cub. But it could maybe give him the right point of view.

He paced back and forth, looking in all the places he knew and finding many he hadn't.. never before had so little space in a forest been so well trodden or examined... Surely other cubs didn't have this kind of ability to avoid their elder's detection? If this was what all leopard cubs were like,he decided he would never, ever, have his own...

Shuddering at the thought of having to do this day in and day out, he turned and started to slink away... it was too crowded and too nosy to even think, let alone find a bunch of cubs that clearly didn't want to be found...

She just laid there, on her back, staring up at the birds that were circling the trees eating berries. It was kind of calming, actually. She could see the clouds moving and the birds flying and she felt just so small all of a sudden. A voice made her ears twitch. She had heard this one before. Sighing, she rolled to her paws and headed off. More relaxed than before.

He stood up again, and began searching places that he hadn't looked. Though as it seemed, he was searching places that everyone else had already looked. He couldn't help it, there was simply no where else to look.

He looked at the leopardess, and she was still frantic, still hurt, and he found that he couldnt give up.. He just couldnt.

With a sigh the golden bird flew once again from her perch, her wide wings allowing her to hover over the heads of the leopards below her. This was proving to be a pointless endeavour.

There seemed to be a lot of soul searching and conflicting emotions going on for Mkichaa, and she decided to ponder this as she distractedly hopped about at the base of a few trees. She didn't know what kind of conclusion she was trying to get to, but she was trying to get somewhere.

Maybe.

He lifted up a rock. Nope. He pushed aside some of the bushes. Nothing there. It seemed they ddin't want to be found. He almost wanted to tell her that..Maybe they'd come out on their own time.
