Delira's eyes changed slightly when Ka'lak said this, and her lips turned up in a smile that may have just tipped over the edge of insanity. It was all she needed to hear: that she was his and he was hers. No one could say for sure if Delira was really in love with Ka'lak. Was that even possible among Spirals? But one thing was sure. He would be hers for the rest of their lives...whether he wanted to be or not. "Delira is so glad to hear this..." she said, moving her body close to his and nuzzling her head under his chin, "Delira will never let Ka'lak go."

Raven laid her head in her hands, stopping in her tracks. If she was going to stay close to her sister, she might have to go along with this mess for now. She couldn't let Delira go, she needed to protect her. A time would come for Ka'lak to be undone...but until then, she supposed she'd better make some attempt at peace. Raven would pray that nothing happened to make things more permanent than they had to be. A shuffling of leaves to her left sprung her into snarling action. She pounced on the creature before it had time to think, and snapped its neck. Raven licked a bit of warm blood from her fingers and hurried back to the den. She'd left Delira and Ka'lak alone long enough, and she had a kill to share for lunch. She swiftly shimied into the tunnel and landed inside the den where her sister and Ka'lak stood. Her eyes rested on them a moment, noting their closeness. Her eyes narrowed at her sister's paws resting in Ka'lak's. She was going to become obsessed with him...that much was clear. Raven considered for a moment that it was her own fault, for keeping Delira so sheltered from the others...but she shook the thought from her mind. No...this was the fault of that manipulative mongrel that had slithered into their lives and wrecked everything. Trying to hold back a snarl, Raven tore the carcass in her paws into thirds. She held two portions out to the other two weres and spoke through her teeth, "Lunch..."

Ka'lak knew what he had gotten himself into by openly admitting such a thing to Delira. And, if he was going to make it through the storm that would eventually come barreling down and upon him, he was going to need this to be his permanent home.. whether Raven accepted it or not. "Yes... Ka'lak is glad to know such as well, Delira." He growled softly, giving the female Spiral lick along the muzzle, nostrils flaring as her scent was taken in.
She was his now... He would make certain that no one would tear her from him... his eyes turning slowly toward Raven as she reappeared. "Raven does not seem pleased... does something trouble Raven?" He inquired as she tore the carcass into pieces, the urge to grin being dismissed rather quickly. She knew that things had escalated between him and her sister... a paw reaching out to take the portion, teeth soon tearing into the flesh, that urge still being combated.

Delira smiled and took her portion of meat from her sister, "Thank you, Raven" Her eyes flicked to Ka'lak. She wished he hadn't asked her what was wrong. Delira could only guess. She couldn't understand why Raven didn't like Ka'lak. He was here to protect them, after all! He just wanted to help them be safe against the one with the toxic eyes. Delira knew that she and Raven had been fooled into thinking the rest of the Spirals were to be respected. Really, they needed to break away. They needed to join Ka'lak in his cause. "Raven isn't upset...is she..?" she coaxed.

Raven chewed slowly on the flesh of her kill. She was bothered slightly by Delira's question and gave her a look that said Yes, I just don't trust him. She sighed and shook her head. It seemed she would have to find a way to put her distrust behind her, at least somewhat. She lifted her kill and took another large bite, chewing slowly still as she tried to digest all that was happening around her.

The piece of flesh that Ka'lak found himself consuming did not last for long, fingers tainted by the blood as was his muzzle. He could sense the distrust in Raven... but knew that would pass once she became accepting of her sister's decision to grow addicted to his very presence.
"If Raven says so...." He growled, flicking the pieces of bone from the kill into a corner, form lingering close to Delira's own.

Delira grinned. She could tell that her sister was still not completely on board, but she also saw that she would not continue to fight her on it...at least for now. For now, Delira could enjoy her time with Ka'lak and enjoy belonging to someone. Delira pushed her form against Ka'lak's and looked up at him. She coiled her arms around his closest to her and held on. "Delira thinks things will work out now," she said to him, "Delira thinks we will make a very good pack."

Raven sighed, nodding her head along with Delira simply to appease her. She was not so sure that everything would be ok now, but she did feel that maybe she could keep some peace in her own den at least. What she really needed to do was speak with this Ka'lak character alone. She needed to get into his head, find out what he really wanted, and lay down some ground rules. She knew she couldn't do that with her sister around...so she'd need to send her away for a while. "Delira," she said, thoughts formulating on the spot, "Maybe you should go out and gather some materials. Ka'lak needs a proper place to sleep if he's going to stay here...and don't even ask me if he can stay with you!" the last part came out a bit harshly, and she quickly regained her composure, "Ka'lak will stay with me so we can talk about his stay..." she glared at him as she said this

Even Ka'lak could tell that Raven wasn't completely on board with his being a part of their 'humble' little pack, mind returning to formulating means of swaying her into 'joining' him... this train of thought not even being broken as Delira's arms coiled about his own. Even if Raven was completely against him, he wasn't going anywhere so long as Delira held favor with him.
"Ka'lak will meet with Raven about this matter..." He looked to Delira, letting his gaze meld with her's. "Ka'lak thinks you should do as Raven says... let Ka'lak speak to her about all this, kay?" He seemed a little more composed then the alabaster Spiral, a nuzzle being given to her before letting his eyes turn toward Raven.

Delira lifted her nose and nuzzled Ka'lak gently, closing her eyes as he spoke to her. Of course she would listen to her sister. She knew she had to keep Raven happy so she would continue to let Ka'lak stay. "Delira will find everything we need," she said with a smile. She reluctantly let go of Ka'lak's arms and gave her sister a happy, fun-loving smile before hurrying out of the den and into the afternoon sun. It was very warm outside and she lifted her face up toward the light. She wished that she and her sister were outside more, but Raven had always said they needed to remain inside where they were protected whenever possible. She opened her eyes again and imagined in her head what Ka'lak would need to have his own space in the den.

Raven watched her sister go, the next few minutes running through her mind. She wasn’t sure how Ka’lak would act without Delira around, but she certainly wanted to know. She had to be sure what she was dealing with here. She locked her eyes on Ka’lak once Delira had slipped completely through the tunnel to the surface. Her face hardened, now that she didn’t have to be amiable for the sake of her poor disillusioned sister. Her nose furrowed slightly and she began to circle the male, her tale swishing back and forth behind her. “Ka’lak…who exactly is The One with the Toxic Eyes, and how do you intend to ‘protect’ us from him? How do I even know all this is true?” She wondered if she could anger him, or get him to react badly. If he attacked, perhaps Delira would see what kind of foe he really was.

There was an obvious game being played here. A game that seemed to be in Raven's favor as Delira was dismissed to the outside world. Yet, even though it seemed that all chips had been bet against him, Ka'lak managed to keep himself collected.
"Ka'lak does not know what the toxic beast calls itself, Raven." He began, watching as the female spiral stalked around him. "Ka'lak only know that his cries are as shrill as a devil's own. That he is nothing more than a mindless beast seeking to rend all who cross it limb from limb."
He let those glowing blue eyes train their sights upon Raven, brow resisting the urge to furrow itself in mild annoyance. "As for protecting Delira and Raven... Ka'lak has found himself growing 'fond' of Raven's sister." A momentary pause was held as he stated this. "Ka'lak would rather not see any harm come to Delira... Ka'lak is sure the same can be said on Raven's behave."
Once again, his ability to string words together was displayed perfectly, tongue flicking over the tip of a fang, eyes never leaving Raven for a second. "So, if Ka'lak must fight this toxic beast alone when he descends upon us like a plague, then Ka'lak will do just that to prove his 'loyalty' to this Hive."
He was definitely trying hard to sway Raven, that was sure.

Delira walked slowly in a circle around the den. She never dared to stray too far from home, thought recent happenings tempted her. She gathered armfuls of leaves and moss from the trees nearby. She'd use them to create a nest of a bed for her dear Ka'lak. She also found tall, pole-like branches and vines, which she would use to create a makeshift wall for privacy. She supposed he would want that from time to time. Satisfied, she started walking back toward the den.

"Hmm..." Raven considered what Ka'lak was saying. If, in fact, he was willing to fight the ones with the toxic eyes on his own for their sake, then maybe she could trust him after all. She sighed, shaking her head slowly. She just couldn't be sure. Maybe the answer right now was just to keep the peace, at least until they all knew exactly what they were dealing with. "Alright..." she finally said, "I guess if you're going to be staying here...we'll have to make a truce." She looked up at him, "Just don't give me any reasons to regret it." She held her paw out to him.

Silence was held on Ka'lak's end as the female spoke to him, right ear giving itself a flick. So, she was willing to put her distrust of him to side for the time being? This was definitely working out better than he had hoped for.
"Yes... Ka'lak agrees. A truce should be made if we are to be in the same Hive." He hissed softly, eyes never leaving Raven's own. Either he was really paying attention to what she had to say, or he was waiting to see her make a move against him.
And, when that did not come, he could only smirk and accepted this extended paw. "Ka'lak will ensure Raven shant regret this choice."
