alphonse de masoch lurichan I am definatly NOT a fan of spiders. I've leave them be if they've set up a web and are doing something useful like catching bugs generally, but if they try to set up camp in say.... my bedroom, then they are going to get smooshed since I don't want them crawling on me while I"m sleeping. ~_~ I know how you feel! I think that playing with spyders is totally awesome (Though most of the time I do it to freak out people lol)

Though I'm a complete arachnaphobe, I try to respect spiders. There are two of them living in the corner of my room. While I hate looking at or going near them I'm well aware of the fact that they'll not bite unless they're afraid.
Besides, they help get rid of the flies ^_^
Now that I remember I used to have this pretty spider pendant. It had two white rhinestones where the head was and the abdomen began. I wonder whatever happened to it...
I remember this special on spiders I once saw on Animal Planet, where the specialist went into an attic and let a black widow crawl on his hand. It sort of creeped me out but that was a long time ago >_>

oh, i love spiders. they're so amazing. on the topic of storys, i was camping once and me and my friend went for a hike. when we got back, he went into his tent and screamed. everyone thought there was a snake in his tent, but it turned out to be a 8in wide, including legs, Wolf Spider resting on his sleeping bag

darktorturedcore oh, i love spiders. they're so amazing. on the topic of storys, i was camping once and me and my friend went for a hike. when we got back, he went into his tent and screamed. everyone thought there was a snake in his tent, but it turned out to be a 8in wide, including legs, Wolf Spider resting on his sleeping bag Sweet. I want one of those as a pet. I like spiders. Except for the small ones. They creep me out. I, in general, dislike small insects and arachnids. On the other hand I want a pet from each of the large varieties. Except for roaches. If I'm blown up by a nuclear bomb, I'd like my pets to die as well. Freakish radioactivity resistant bugs.... I don't love spiders.. but i can handle them.. they do keep the bugs out of my house. smile I only kill them when i know they are the agressive ones that can really hurt people. smile

She likes to watch them... if they're at least five feet away and are standing perfectly still. I think she's nuts. Icky little nasties, kill kill kill.

I live in MN.... and the mosquito is practically the state bird. This is also the most highly overdone joke around here... so it's only funny to those of you who've never been to Minnesota. In fact, when I was a little kid, my dad used to tell me that the mosquitoes would pick me up and carry me away. The way they swarm people, I almost believed it.
So, now that I've gone sufficiently off-topic. I like anything that eats mosquitoes... birds, bats, spiders... whatever. It's all good.
However, I do find spiders particularily facinating.

Veruniel I love spiders... but I know that's a goth stereotype that doesn't always apply. So, here's my question for you: Do you like spiders, or do they freak you out? Got any tales of eight-legged monsters from the attic? Normally, I wouldnt mind spiders. But as a young child, my father would stand in the house and stomp on the floor to make the black widows fall on me while i was in the basement. They scared me, cuz i was like....3 or 4. So, no, i hate spiders. Damn abusive son of a b***h... *mumbles incoherently*
