Tossed to the side again. Back to her feet again. Same old same old. Rinse and repeat. Somewhere in the back of her mind she remembered that she had told Shik that they would fight together but...ya, that had been an unrealistic promise, really. Once the two of them found battle, they got too wrapped up into it to care about anything else.

She could totally celebrate with him later.

She went low for the ankles this time. Sweeping her leg out to trip a Hunter who fell to it's knees. To which she promptly round house kicked in the back.

Unfortunatly for the chieftain, before she could even take three strides towards her opponents again, something was knocking her back off of her feet. That didn't stop her from flinging her dagger before she hit the ground, but she did get a glimpse of it completely missing it's target.

Her anger only intensified.

Soren was not a reckless or stupid fighter. Why rush in recklessly when he could simply get around behind the hunters and attack them while their backs were turned? It did not mean that he would go easy on them because it might be viewed as a cowardly type of attack. It was simply the smartest move to make.

He casually let his khopesh summon into his waiting left hand and went to work, using both the hilt and the blade as a weapon as he carved at the hunter shield.

Aymet swung his claws out again. This was maybe going not as well as he could have expected. His FEAR surged through the armor's many phylactery points, keeping him whole but weaker overall.

The hunters' blasts were actually quite powerful, and horsemen - as well as initiated students - seemed to have a hard time dodging the attacks. The alchemist did find herself again in the same position, but this time she noticed the familiar silhouette she almost lost during the havoc.

"Mei!", she shouted hoping the ghoul would hear her. "Are you all right? I..." Eisheth waved her hand showing the student to come closer to her, but the flash of light separated them again, and the rest of her words drowned in the sound of the explosion.

Anger. Anger was beginning to well up in him. It wasn't noticeable at first, but the more he attacked these Hunters, these . . .weaklings, the more Mort began to feel the gnaw of the fragment in his arm. More. More.

Shik too felt the effects, though unlike the zomboil he welcomed the hatred. It fueled his momentum and made his wounds seem like mere scratches, the Hunters merely fleshy sticks he got to cut in twain. If more was desired, then more would be had.

She was pushing herself to her feet, albeit a little more shakily this time. Again she found that she hadn't really gone far. She was still behind the hunters, which was apparently the ideal situation since she was able to really sink her teeth into them this way, so to speak.

With dagger clutched in hand, she ran forward towards them with a battle cry full of rage.

Being small meant being pretty under foot sometimes. Mei found herself kicked a couple times over to the other side.

This time Mort only got a nail across someone's arm before he was beaten back, but by Jack some of the Fear that was beginning to come off them was alluring. It was becoming harder to keep a clear head.

Aymet was sent reeling, back to the side of the seething pack of humans.

Something caught Mahir's many arms and whipped him to the side to crash into the wall.

Just barely she could over hear a familiar voice. It sounded like Eisheth calling her name. There was so much going on she had no clue where the Horsewoman exactly was.

"Eish...!" She ducked another sharp weapon as it sliced past her face. A small cut forming across her nose. Finding Eisheth would have to come later, they had the Hunters on the run it seemed. Placing a foot against a nearby wall she launched herself at the waist of a nearby Hunter, bringing her knee up to slam it in the stomach.

She dove into the hunters this time, not even bothering to just single one out of the group anymore. Her blade slashed left and right, her rage screamed out wordlessly with each stroke of the dagger. Her golden eyes glittered with malice. Warm blood washed over her hands, and splattered against her face. She could feel the power of the fear that entered into her crystal fragment, could practically feel it pulsated through her. But still she needed more.

Suddenly she was pushed back. Her face twisted into a snarl, she dug her feet into the sand and somehow managed to keep her balance. She was bruised and battered and bloodied, but she had no intention on quitting now.

And then that when it happened. The colors in her vision twisted. The hunters in front of her becoming distorted by sickly shades of green and orange that made her dizzy. She looked away, closing her eyes, breathing heavily against it...whatever it was. There was a hollow emptiness inside of her, something that she desperately felt as though she needed to fill.

The voices in her head were gone, but with everything else she was now dealing with, it mattered very little.

Anger, bloodlust, rage, revenge. She wanted it all. She needed more. She needed to fill that empty void.

She had stumbled, had nearly fallen, but now she was straitening back up, her eyes snapping back open. Things once again looked normal, but it was like she was having trouble focusing. She couldn't concentrate. The only thing that still drive her forward was the anger and the hatred, the all consuming resentment and malice she felt towards those in white coats that were still standing. They all needed to die.

Shik growled as his attack was blocked, but it was only trying to stop the inevitable. Soon they would all fall. Soon.

Yet beyond the clamor, the inconsequential pain, even the dull roar calling for revenge in his head, Shik could see Shaheen was behaving erratically, wavering even as she dealt savage blows at the Hunters backs. Somehow he made a note to keep an eye on her, though immediately afterwards he was forced back towards the center by the remaining Hunters' weapons.

Merely the nips of a dying animal.

This time, Jay found herself behind the hunters. Lips curled into a smile when she realized it. It was the perfect opportunity for an attack from behind. It wasn’t the most fair thing to do, but whoever said War was always fair?
