Quote: Viverri frowned as the bird discovered her not-so-cunning plan and took off. Pah! She licked her maw and tried to pretend that she hadn't wanted that bird anyway. The genet sniffed a molted feather but then turned her attention elsewhere. The lions below were on the move, and for lack of other entertainment she decided to follow the mob. They might scare up something tasty for her.

Kal could find no evidence that the snake had stuck around. It was possible it had fled immediately after biting. The lioness had not been clear about how long ago this had happened. In fact, it might not have even happened anywhere near here! A soothing tone caught his attention, and he bounded over to see if someone else had been bitten, somehow, but what he found was one of the People, whispering reassurances to a strange male, while treating what very clearly was a swollen snake bite. Good, he'd been found. Perhaps things would settle back down again now, and he could dwell on the images that had swirled through his mind at the idea of snake poison. Blood, water, and poison.... red, blue, and green, swirling and mixing dangerously. Oh yes, there was definitely something there!

The finding of her friend was a relief, though she couldn't really help much being that upon closer inspection; she was a tiny adult female and wouldn't be able to help at all. She looked and fretted and acted very concerned and finally pipped up. "Um... do you think we could stay here until he is okay? I don't want to have to travel if he is too sick too..." She looked a bit helpless.
And perhaps this would be a suitable home?
