Sure enough, there was a token, still wobbling from being tossed into the shelter of the roots. He stared at it a moment, startled to actually find something. He looked up at the other leopard's voice, then broke into a grin. "Thank you!" he said with astonished delight. Time to look some more! As he trotted off, there was an almost youthful bounce to his step. Perhaps this place was good for him beyond just the safety it offered.

This time he ranged about, the bounce still in his step. He bypassed things, just for the fun of it. What was the fun in looking everywhere, or in finding them all yourself? He wanted others to savor the triumph of finding a token to. So it was some time before he finally stopped to peek about in a clump of grass.

However promising though, it seemed that Farraginis was simply not lucky enough to find anything. He'd moved further from the center, but to no avail. His searching still yielded no results at all.

Sigh. Jayani would probably be better at this. Yes, his mate would quickly be totally lost, but she'd probably find something in her cluelessness.

Jong felt quite accomplished. The mighty leopard had complimented him, a mere gecko. This game was more fun then he anticipated. Of course, things had to go and change in the middle of the game. He had almost forgotten how sneaky leopards could be. The one they were looking for seemed to be a master at it since even the other leopards couldn't find her.

This area wasn't yielding anything to Farraginis' quest, so he decided to move clear across the board to a more forested region. Maybe he'd find something here!

The trees and undergrowth made the leopard's new position harder to search, but he had to conclude that this area too, was empty. Or rather, empty of anything artificially placed there or of a certain sneaky leopardess. It was plenty full of plants that had chosen to grow there.

Jong could not find anything in the spot he was seaching so he decided to move on to a different one. He made his way across some leaves that touched each other. It was a rather useful network of greenery. He liked to use it because it allowed him to pass above most of the large creatures. Though leopards liked traveling up trees too.

So, one end of the arena had proven fruitless for Farraginis, thus he would go clear across to the other end! He poked through grasses and bushes but still nothing. Gods curse it! Or maybe they'd just cursed him with unluck. He couldn't decide. Or know for certain, even.

But still! How frustrating did this have to get? He could hear that damned leopardess laughing. Never mind that she wasn't actually laughing out loud. He could still hear it!

Jong decided that this time he would try to find something smack dab in the middle of all of this. So he made his way over in a slow fashion, pushing aside leaves and sticking his head under things. Just as he thought he had made another wrong decision, something shiny caught his eye. Nearly leaping in joy, he rushed over to it and discovered a silver token! He grinned to himself and picked it up in his mouth. Being a gecko really did have benefits, probably because he could be so close to the ground. He looked about for the head leopard to pass the token to.

Now that he'd found something, he was spending less time looking and more time enjoying himself. He strolled beneath the trees, shunning to read the well-worn paths. He stopped to admire some hanging vines in full flower, a shower of pink and white blooms that swayed ni the breeze. Ah, and that breeze was mighty fine too! Just to see how thick the curtain was, but also to peer behind it, just in case, Desya paced over and shouldered through the veil of vines.

Well, maybe he'd check the dusty central area again. Because really, this was getting ridiculous! There were a few others who'd been searching as long as he had, and they didn't seem to be having any trouble finding something! Farraginis sighed. Next time he was going to insist on Jayani coming. He was certain she'd have better luck with this than he.

Jong was quite proud of his progress even if the leopard still eluded him. It was a little weird that he could find so many small tokens before finding a big leopard. Though to be fair he was really small so that could also be the reason. He moved further up to see if he could find another token. His search turned up nothing in this area but there was some nice sunlight breaking through the canopy. He turned his face to it and stayed there to soak in some of the heat.

South, then. Perhaps he'd find something closer to the edge of the game area. But truly, the leopard was past expecting anything to turn up. In fact, he was beginning to wonder why he still played this game.

Well, obviously no one had found the leopardess yet, so theoretically anyone still could. He just...had his doubts. Severe doubts. That was all.

As expected, this area was empty as well. Was he just missing something here?

Jong had no idea where to look now. He ended up roaming around, going to spots he already looked and ending up near the area where he recently found a token. Maybe he had missed something in passing. He pushed aside some leaves and found a beetle. That was the only thing he found though. Guess there was nothing here, now to look in another spot. He climbed up a tree to scope out where he should look next.

Nope, nothing there! Though the flowers had a heady scent. A bit too much for him, in fact. Shaking his head, he moved away from the abundantly fragrant blooms. Perhaps it was time to take a new vantage on the situation. With this in mind, he wandered until he chose a likely looking tree. Extending his claws, he hauled himself bodily up to the first few branches, then turned to gaze outwards and downwards. In some ways this was superior to ground-crawling, but it also meant he couldn't see under things, where the tokens most likely would hide. He might catch sight of the leopardess though, if he was lucky!

The leopard meandered along, looking underneath every bush and leaf, every rock and and in every ditch. Nada. Nothing. Zip. Zilch. He was a total failure at this game. Either that or he was just very unlucky. Or both. It could always be both.

Sighing, Farraginis continued searching.

Things were slowing down again. Nava shifted, trying to not yawn. Admittedly, it was becoming rather boring for the leopard. And with boredom came the urge to lay his head down and sleep. Gold eyes were starting to droop, when he felt a prod from behind. He looked to find the pink-hued form of Sayuri. Nava shifted so the leopardess could join him. "This is becoming boring already... I wish she hadn't hidden those things so well!"

The leopardess chuckled. "Well, if she made it EASY, where would the fun be in THAT? You go rest, Nava, I'll stay here to keep an eye on things. It beats trying to put my remaining children in some form of shape..." Even Sakura needed help getting back into the shape of things. What she found entertaining, though, was that he'd been spending time with that green leopardess he'd brought home. Perhaps her son had fallen in love... Something she felt she lacked in life. Perhaps she never would experience it like everyone else, with a mate and all... This thought didn't alarm her in the least.

The male rose and stretched, yawning, then looked to those still searching. "From this point on, Sayuri will be keeping an eye on the game! It's time for this leopard to go take a nap!" Tired as he was, he still smiled as he turned and padded away to rest.
