SubonicXP The Luxray did learn this time, however not as much as it should have as the big cat rushed towards the Carbink, crackling with energy and aiming to tackle it. The added defenses of the Reflect helped Carbink brace itself for impact, taking the Spark attack decently before flailing about with Luxray now being a lot closer than it cared for. However, with Carbink still feeling fine, it didn't flail for long at all or put a lot of power into it.

SubonicXP "Well you're doing great so far!" Alan said with a big smile. "Listen, that Sylvester guy? He won his first battle with just his Azumarill so be careful. That fat rabbit seems pretty strong. Though I suppose it didn't help that his opponent had three Pokemon that were all weak to it." The teen said with a laugh. "Pretty good Dragonite you got there, by the way." He smiled. "Tristen, please take the stage." The intercom blared in the locker room. "I guess you're up. Remember, be careful of that Azumarill. It seems to be his crutch so he'll probably use it first." "...a crutch?" Tristen asked. How many people like that are there in this modernized world, the boy wondered. "Ok, I'll keep that in mind. Thanks." He said. He then perked up and heard his name announced on the PA system. Fortunately in the meantime, he managed to get his party taken care of and ready to go once again. "Alright, well, here goes something." Tristen found his way back out and off to the battlefield.

Riding on Anael's back, Kaya kept himself ready for the next room. When he saw the many Exans, he spoke up. "Fly up high and use Air Cutter to keep any that get too close away. I'll protect us from behind." He said. The Togekiss nodded and continued the use of her Extreme Speed to blow through the long-ish corridor, only stopping to blast the snakes away when they got too close.
Kaya stood on her back, throwing key daggers at those that attacked from angles she couldn't defend from, locking the unfortunate victim in place for a while.

Now closer the Luxray unleashed another Discharge around the general area. That said Amaranth and Carbink probably noticed that the Luxray was getting very tired. Probably just needed to thump it to put it down.

"And here he is again, the little green menace...Tristen the Bolt!" The ref announced as Tristen took the stage, the crowd applauding his appearance. "And his opponent...Sylvester the Rabbit!" With that announcement Tristen's opponent took the stage. As it turned out this 'Sylvester' who won with just with Azumarill was a young boy, perhaps younger than Tristen. No way he had his trainer license for very long.
"I'm gonna crush ya!" He shouted at Tristen, literally slamming a Pokeball onto the ground, the device releasing just as promised an Azumarill onto the field.

There were so many however that the pair probably didn't see the large Arbok shooting up out of the ground, threatening to sink its fangs into Anael's back with Crunch.

The fact that he was young didn't bother him; in fact, he was in a similar situation before. And there was that Azumarril for that matter. Quickly, Tristen thought for a moment, wondering just what made this Azumarril so nasty. He wondered what kind of attacks that it might have. The Octillery started to loom in Tristen's mind for a moment...hoping that Azumarril didn't have an Ice attack. Truthfully, he wasn't all too sure what an Azumarril could do. He had the feeling he was going to find out. "Alright...Go! Galvantula!" Tristen called out, tossing the Pokeball out for the second round of battle. In a flash, the Galvantula was out and ready to go.

SubonicXP The Throh would appear to be letting the Mawile come in close, and when just inches away its trainer would give an order. "Hugs are for the weak! Vital Throw!" She shouted, the Throh grabbing the Mawile's hands, spinning her around, and hurling her into the crowd. "You can look like this one day little one but not by going around hugging people...punch in the face to show affection!" Lacuna was barely able to save herself from crashing into the crowd, only by snagging a bit of the over head lights did she prevent herself from impacting the whole crowd. It didn't lessen the pain at all, but their reputation would at least be intact. Lacuna would begin to charge at her opponent when Leslie interjected with, "Lacuna, Misty Terrain!" The Mawile would halt its charge, swinging her second mouth around as it jarred opena nd unleashed a spray of mist that suddenly overtook the ground of the area and went up into the air, obscuring the vision of everyone involved in this battle. "I enjoy punching too, but its much easier to do it when people don't expect it. Now, why don't you come and find Lacuna?"

Sadly, Kaya didn't see the huge Arbok until it was too close to stop it at range. However he did choose to throw himself into the path of the snake, using his metal skin to protect his Pokemon from those fangs for a few seconds. He cringed more than a little as the damage was done, the snake's fangs sinking into his skin a bit. "Jeez, you've got strong jaws...." He grunted out, trying to force the massive cobra off of himself. Anael would spin around and issue several blades towards the Poison-type via Air Cutter. Now it was time to get out. Again.

Probably just needed to thump it to put it down. Amaranth noticed Luxray's condition quickly, though part of her hoped it'd be recalled instead of waiting until it couldn't fight anymore. She went so far as to open her beak without thinking, but right before she could utter a word, she remembered that she couldn't interfere. No matter how badly she wanted to tell Carbink to capitalize on it. Luckily for her, at least Carbink did have the sense to use at least some offense when it had to, taking advantage of the opening and ramming itself into Luxray with a Tackle.

And down went Luxray, the first knock out of the battle. His trainer didn't seem to surprised however, maybe that was his more head strong Pokemon, who knew. "This battle is almost over it seems, I wish you and your friends the best of luck in the next." The man said as he recalled his Luxray and threw to the ground his last Pokeball. "Beau!" Cried the butterfly Pokemon as it appeared from its ball, instantly fluttering over to a flower to suckle on. Wasn't it suppose to be battling?

"Bok!" Hissed the Arbok as the Air Cutter slashed against it, the snake losing interest in the metal thing in its mouth. The giant snake would then turn its attention towards Anael, rearing back and then spitting a large wad of poisonous goo at the Pokemon with Sludge Bomb.

The crowd would 'oooh' and 'aaah' over the display of the Misty Terrain, captivated by the beauty of it. Leslie's opponent however was not as impressed. "Hiding is for wimps, and here I thought you were a woman and not a girl." The muscle lady scoffed. "Earthquake!" She roared, the crowd gasping in shock at the command.
"Throooh!" Roared the fighting type as it stomped on the ground with all its might, causing the stage to shake violently. Multiple people screamed in panic but miraculously the building and everything in it held firm. I suppose they made these facilities sturdy due to what goes on in them.

"Contestants ready? Let the battle begin!" The ref declared after Tristen released his spider. "Cool bug! Too bad I have to squash it!" The kid snickered. "Zuzu, go rolly polly!" He ordered with a fist pump. Rolly polly? Really?
"Azu!" Cried the rabbit as it curled up and began to roll across the ground rapidly towards the Galvantula, its body giving off a brown glow as it threatened to bowl over the spider with Rollout.

Amaranth responded, unsure of what else to say. It was a good battle, but she'd be lying if she said her mind was entirely on it and her Pokemon. It made for a dangerous thing even if she wasn't to give any commands, though Carbink was busy giving a confused stare to the Beautifly that was sent out anyway. This was a battle, right? Carbink figured as much, anyway, but here this thing was, nursing a flower. Wondering what it might do in response, it gave a cautious Tackle to serve as a warning shot.

"...roly-wha?" Tristen spoke up, only for him to realize what that meant when the Azumarril took action. "A rollout?" Tristen spoke up. Well, there was that Rock-type attack to ruin the day. It wasn't strong yet, but he knew that it was one that builds up to being a unstoppable force. It could even get to the point where not even Dragonite could stop this. The Azumarril rushes in and bowls over Galvantula, doing a fair amount of damage for the moment, but it will only get worse. Tristen knew he had to stop this rabbit now. "Galvantula! Thunder Wave!" Tristen shouted.

The Beautifly was hit and let out a shrill cry, the butterfly quickly fluttering away into a flowering tree to hide and...suck on more flowers. "I knew this would happen." Amaranth's foe sighed. "Return." He said, recalling the Pokemon.
"Beautifly refuses to battle...Amaranth of Orre is our victor. May both of you find victory in this outcome." The ref declared. "Now miss Amaranth, please take these berries and heal your Pokemon." The ref would approach Amaranth with a big basket of Lum and Sitris Berries, intended to heal her Pokemon.

That thing was still coming! And even stronger to boot, a crushing blow to toss aside. The bug staggered up after having his world rocked. It wasn't going to take much more, obviously. Worse still, if this onslaught continued, it would be curtains for the likes of Natu and Dragonite. "Galvantula! Try a Discharge!" he shouted. The bug shook its head then took aim, unleashing its powerful electrical onslaught towards the aqua rabbit.

"That's it?" Unsure if she should be glad or regretful that Beautifly refused to fight at all, Amaranth figured not to ask too many questions. The next fight was unlikely to have the kind of fortune that this one did, leading her to nod in thanks for the basket and recalling Carbink to allow it to return to the balcony.
Turning her back for a moment to send each of her Pokemon out, allowing them to feast on the berries and regain their strength, she recalled them and readied herself. If nothing else, it was an interesting experience, starting to wonder how far she might get as she awaited her next opponent.
