Later to face an invasion by the Earth Forces. Sammy's Big sister and father were part of the defending forces at Onogoro island. They both lost there lives while waiting for remaining forces to retreat to the Kaguya mass driver. Now year 75 of the Cosmic Era, Sammy is now assigned as Fire Controls Officer on board the Uzumi Nara. In hopes of honoring his sister, dad and late mom.

The Earth Alliance filled the gravity-stable room. President Park took to her seat. The Eurasia members that were there, were a little bit disgusted with President Park. After all the Atlantic Federation was run by blue cosmos from the last war, while most the Eurasia Federation burned. With there rival succeeding on the aftermath. Most Eurasian's were a bit jealous that the Atlantic Federation escaped alot of there war crimes they committed after the war.

As the politicians and military men started to separate between the floors, Hazuko went up the the small stage set up against the glass, showing the Uzumi outside. A 'staff' member came up, presenting the bottle for the christening. Hazuko too the bottle with a nod, placing it on the podium for now. An older tradition not many ships were able to experience, and Hazuko was glad the Uzumi Nara would, granting it an honor a ship named after the Great Lion of Orb should have.
Name: Haru Hazuko Genetic Type: Natural Rank: Commander Position: Uzumi Nara Captain Background & Personality: A true commander of Orb, Haru Hazuko has been a loyal Orb soldier since he could sign up. Before the advent of the M1 Astray, he was proud of the Orb's military might and felt it could defend against ZAFT or the Earth Forces without mobile suits. When the invasion of Orb happened, he was proven wrong and focused on generating his own anti-mobile suits tactics. Some of which were successful, and he was promoted to Commander by the end of the second war. He was selected as the Orb military's first choice to captain the Fujin, and he recommended his long-time crewmember Ryuu Taiki to transfer onto the ship as well. With Haru's experience, the recommendation was accepted.
Unlike his subordinate, Haru is a very serious and strict military commander. While he knows about the cost of war, he also believes war is sometimes a necessary evil. He holds a dislike for the Earth Alliance and ZAFT after each invasion on the Orb homeland. He also smokes often and has an occasional drink for celebrations. With his knowledge of the previous major gundam projects, he was the biggest supporter and influence on Project H(inode), and remained paranoid all the way to the launch ceremony. Appearance:

"Attention everyone, front and center. I don't care if you're in your suit or not, just get in line." he called out as he entered the hangar. Despite the echo that started, the place was too large for it to meet a shouting level. He busied himself over a console reading the Tearu status, just 5 were still undergoing final inspection, so their systems were offline until finished. He could only hope they were complete in time.
Name: Ryuu Taiki (23) Genetic Type: Coordinator Rank: Lieutenant Position: Uzumi Nara XO Background & Personality: Ryuu was an orphan at the age of 7, and since his parents customized his appearance , he wasn't adopted for a few years. As a Coordinator, he was advanced in schooling, but was ridiculed by natural children and their parents who condoned coordinators. He joined the military of Orb sometime after the events of Bloody Valentine in fear of Orb's inclusion as the war dragged on. While he was acceptable as an Astray pilot, his suit was destroyed on the first day of fighting and he choose to become a crewmen instead. Serving with a man named Hazuko, he was able to survive the first and second Bloody Valentine wars. He gained the rank of Lieutenant with Hazuko's personal request for him to be his XO on the Uzumi Nara.
Ryuu believes deeply in Orb's motto, but also thinks if someone has the ability to help others, they should whether it involves them or not. With the shock of his experience, he gets shaky when piloting a mobile suit. He also holds a grudge against Blue Cosmos for his parent's death. He often listens to music to calm himself down, or concentrate. Appearance:

The new Taeru mobile suits were finished in the shipyard facility, within a lower-G environment for construction and training the pilots. 20 of them were constructed here, and in two rows of 10 suits back-to-back, making the length of the This was the best use of the area so it was the layout they took, although unfortunately that left the area extremely long, but this was thought to be the best way when they would present the suits. When the ceremony began to mention the Fujin's mobile suit capability, the doors above would move and the Taerus would be lifted up out of the hangar. Only the units furthest from the viewing area would actually lift off and join with the Uzumi for the launch, as the other ten were either set for deployment on other ships or still undergoing final inspection by Morgenroete Inc...

Upon arriving to the mobile suit staging area, Itsuki heard Lieutenant Ryuu Taiki orders and quickly fell into order in front of his M3 Taeru.

Name: Lunamaria Hawke (19) Genetic Type: Coordinator Rank: Black Uniform Position: Mobile Suit Pilot Background: Born on July 26, 56 (C.E.), Lunamaria quickly rose to Elite Status during her time at the academy.She attended the ZAFT military academy with her sister Meyrin, Shinn, and Rey Za Burrel. She later becomes Commander & later attends the Celebration of the New Orb Warship. Personality: As a red ace, Lunamaria is already a strong pilot, with her skills focusing on long ranged combat, but she does have talent in close ranged combat. Strangely, Lunamaria's skill with a gun outside a mobile suit is drastically different, as she is unable to make an accurate shot. This is due to her habit of twitching her wrist while pulling the trigger. However, after learning of this habit, her skills have improved.
