Lykas couldn't help but smirk. At least he had a Pokemon that would be able to fight against this thing. If he could manage to hit it. "Believe me, I know." He commented in regards to the black-clad trainer's statements about looks. Pulling out a Pokeball, he released his Milotic once more. The white serpent appeared from his ball, looking majestic and elegant but hardly fearsome. "It's gonna hit hard and fast." He warned the Water-type, deciding to let the ancient beast make it's move first. If it was as fast as was being implied it would act first anyway.

"You can say that again!" The Ace Trainer laughed as he heard Lykas talk to his Pokemon. "Ptera, use Agility!" He shouted.

The ancient Pokemon would let out a blood curdling roar as it flapped its mighty wings just once and began to dart through the air at an incredible speed, flying in circles above the Milotic, rapidly picking up speed as it concentrated chi into its wings to increase its top speed for the duration of the battle. Something else seemed to be up with the dinosaur as well as its body gave off a faint glimmer. Maybe it had something to do with the tiny green pouch it wore around ts neck. Brightpowder.

"Close the gap and cut off it's escape!" Lykas called to Nuregami. "Use Twister." The Milotic nodded and whipped up a draconian wind, intending to trap the ancient winged beast. Unfortunately, it missed by a hair. It's hard to hit something directly when you can't look directly at it and that shimmering was making it difficult. It was also difficult to hit a target moving at such a high speed without practice. Lykas clearly needed to account for this and add it to training later.

The Twister did indeed fail to suck up and entrap the Aerodactyl, but it wasn't all for naught as the winged creature did tumble a little, losing some of its momentum but alas not all of it. It was something one could say but they were going to need to strike true if they wanted to win this battle.

"Nice try but you're going to have a much keener eye to get past me. Take Down, Ptera!" The Ace Trainer commanded.

The Aerodactyl would utilize its speed and momentum as it redirected its course and bolted straight down at Milotic in a full body charge. The beast came in so fast that it was little more than a blur. With its speed, force, and rock solid body this attack was going to hurt.

Lykas knew this guy was right. And when he saw what happened after that attack was called, he had almost no time to react to it. "ICEBEAM!" He called as fast as he could manage. Nuregami obeyed, charging the attack and preparing to fire but with this thing's speed, it hit before the attack could truly be released. When it hit, the charged beam ended up firing into the air blindly. Oh dear....

Nuregami obeyed, charging the attack and preparing to fire but with this thing's speed, it hit before the attack could truly be released. When it hit, the charged beam ended up firing into the air blindly. Oh dear....

The Ace Trainer just scoffed as the Ice Beam completely missed, instead hitting the upper wall to their left, forming a jagged chunk of ice that now jutted out of the side of the wall. As for Aerodactyl it appeared the full body rush didn't harm its rock solid body in the least as it took flight again, hover overhead as it observed its work triumphantly.

"I'm surprised you made it this far. Two moves in and you've yet to find your pace. You sure you're ready for the big guy up top?" He laughed. "Let's punish this challenger some more, Double Team!" And it just got worse from here.

The dinosaur Pokemon would let out a prideful roar as its form began to distort, two more copies of it splitting from the original as now three Aerodactyl hovered overhead. If Lykas had a keen eye he might notice just briefly only one of them shimmered. He would probably lose his chance to notice this as all three began to zoom through the air, making it difficult to keep track of the original.

"So tell me, you feel lucky?" He laughed.

Lykas grimaced at the thought that his partner might actually be too slow to fight this thing back. At first at least. That attack had hurt, quite a bit it looked like, and he knew it. Nuregami couldn't withstand much more. He needed to get at least one decent hit in before he was out. By this time, Aerodactyl had already split into copies of itself. "Nuregami, look ou-" He froze for a second. Did he see what he thought he just saw. Clearing his throat, as if he had simply had a catch in his voice, he repeated himself. "Nuregami, look out for it." He called out, waiting for the moment when it would begin it's attack again. As soon as it came in, he'd call out once again. "Aqua Tail! Hit that one!" He'd direct, pointing out the one he'd seen shimmer earlier. Nuregami was going to need his eyes if they stood a chance here.

While a glimmer of hope had filled Lykas for a brief moment it may soon disappear as the sea serpents tail smacked into one of the 'Aerodactyls', revealing it to be nothing more than a copy as the spray of water from tis attack splattered onto the field. Fortunately that took care of one copy meaning their next attempt was a fifty-fifty shot.

"Ha! You still missed! This is really sad, you know." The Ace Trainer laughed cockily. "This is such an easy battle. Ptera, another Take Down!"

Just like before, with a prideful roar the Aerodactyl would throw its self into a dive bomb down at the Milotic, except this time two of them were coming at it from opposite sides.

How could Lykas have been wrong earlier? He just knew he saw the real one shimmer out of the three, he had to be right! Wait a minute, it shimmered again...and this time it's on a straight course.

(Rolling first. If 1 it hits and all copies disperse. Otherwise one fake copy disperses.)

Lykas cursed under his breath. He must have lost the original when the trio started moving faster. "We need to disrupt it's flight before it hits! Try Twister again!" He called to his Pokemon. This time, he hoped to hit the right copy. The whorl of draconian energy would whip up around Nuregami this time, creating a wall of fast-moving wind at a moderate distance, hopefully throwing the pterodactyl off balance and striking the real one for once. If it didn't work, Nuregami would fall to this attack. His stamina was running very low by now.

(Coin flip! 1, the Twister hits and proves devastating, causing Aerodactyl to flinch and suffer a critical hit. 2, it fails to stop the Pokemon.)

Nuregami was too late conjuring up the Twister, or perhaps the Aerodactyl came in too fast. Either way the real Aerodactyl slammed into sea serphant most fierce, delivering devastating blow before returning to the sky. Fortunately the last copy disappeared on impact so there is one less thing to worry about.

"And that's how ya do it!" Cheered the Ace Trainer. His cheering was cut off briefly as a drop of cold water from the jagged ice formation above dripped. Nuregami formed that on accident earlier, maybe it could prove of use later.

And that was it for Nuregami. The Milotic went down like a sack of Tauros dung, flopping uselessly against the floor, where Lykas recalled him from. "You tried hard, Nuregami. Thanks for that." He said to the Milotic before reaching for another Pokeball and replacing Nuregami's. The new ball, he felt certain wasn't going to win this fight but at the same time, he had a really good idea that it wasn't going to lose, either.

"Tallulah! Octazooka!" He called, the Seadra appearing from her ball with an ink bullet already in the chamber, so the speak. Lykas' idea was that her ability would help a lot. She was a natural Sniper, after all. She'd take aim and fire off the black blob of smoky ink with incredible precision. Was it possible Aerdactyl was fast enough to evade a sniper bullet? More importantly, the attack had a dual purpose. Whether it hit it's intended target or not, it would obscure the area a bit, giving some helpful cover even if only for a few seconds.

And thus Lykas' luck would turn around as the Octazooka struck true, hitting the Aerodactyl directly in the head causing ink to get in the beast's eyes as it began to flail around in mid air, its vision disrupted.

"...you'll pay for that one." Hissed the Ace Trainer. "Supersonic!" He ordered, immediately covering his ears with his hand.

The prehistoric Pokemon would flutter in place as it began to let out an ear splitting screech, attempting to disorient anyone who heard it. Didn't need to see for this.

"Nice!" Lykas cheered, praising his partner's impeccable aim. Now to see how he could get this battle ended fast. Tallulah didn't know any Ice-type moves and Octazooka was more or less a blind man's gambit. It was never guaranteed to be helpful. Such as now, he noticed, as the living fossil alerted half of Kalos to their battle with that Supersonic. People in Kanto might even be able to hear that noise.

"Tallulah! Use Hydro Pump!" Tallulah bounced on her tail for a moment or two, considering Lykas' call. He just said Dragon Pulse, right? On what, exactly? The big bird? It was harmless. Oh but that giant melting spike on the ceiling? That was dangerous. She should knock the down so the bird wouldn't hurt itself. She'd swell with draconian might for a moment before exploding outward with the wild Dragon chi like a beam cutting through the air, arcing towards the ice block on the ceiling. The force of the attack, however, caused her to lose her balance and threw her back and down, slamming her hard against the floor. That would going to leave a bruise.

Lykas groaned inwardly. That wasn't the attack he'd called out and she'd managed to get hurt in the confusion of trying to make any sense of his voice through that Supersonic.

The Ace Trainer just laughed at the scene, his Pokemon seemingly doing the same as it fluttered in place and let out a laugh-like growl. Both trainer and Pokemon however failed to see that while the Seadra did hurt its self and while it did use the wrong move and miss, its attack wasn't completely for naught as the Dragon Pulse had knocked the ice spike above Aerodactyl loose, causing it to fall straight down towards the dinosaur.

"Dactyl!" Shouted the Aerodactyl in surprise as the ice spike slammed into its back, causing it to crash into the ground where it would be temporarily grounded. "Tch! Dumb luck...Ancientpower!"

As the Aerodactyl struggled onto its feet after the devastating surprise blow it began to give off a rainbow colored aura. Chunks of the stone field would break off and rise into the air in response, said stone chunks taking on their own rainbow aura and then fly towards Seadra.
