He focused less on her not getting anything anyway and more on what was left in the fridge. It was most of what he was used to: some veggies, milk, eggs, a few protein bars...and of course, microwave and oven meals. Thank god he wasn't a foreign entity entirely in this timeline. Except there were candy bars and sweet cakes in the snacks cabinet that he innately knew were from a recent trip to family in Korea, and he wasn't supposed to be a fan of sweets, but whatever.
Eventually he got lazy and just put some toast in the toaster. "Peanut butter's good. B vitamins," he said, supposedly to Chel though it sounded rather general. "Try nibbling if you can. Same with water. Your body's gonna need help replenishing itself." And if she didn't want those, he'd stubbornly suggest other common foods until they came to an agreement on something. At least to try. Jack was adamant about not letting her walk around like a zombie beyond the apartment at any rate.
