The Aqua grunts glared at them both, as if plotting their escape from their frozen bonds and then enact their revenge, though they both knew their odds of success were rather slim without a conscious Pokemon. These two punk trainers didn't need to know that the Sharpedo was their only Pokemon.

"Eh, it does look like they aren't up to anything of interest, cuz..." Toren admitted as he circled around them, eying their persons up and down for anything suspicious on them, he would also examine the waterside they stood in front of and saw nothing noteworthy beside the belly up Sharpedo, it was just knocked out and not dead, right?

"Told you so! Now let us go!" One of the grunts demanded, his buddy's face turning a bright red as he attempted to remain calm and was having an increasingly difficult time doing so, the pleasing scent of Cutie's aroma the only thing keeping him from blowing his top.

"I could let you go...I mean, I haven't found anything criminal on ya or about what you were doing, yo...buuut I think we'll just leave ya like this." Toren said with a grin as he recalled Titan. "The ice will melt eventually under this sun and then you will be free. By then we'll be long gone, yo, that way ya can carry out any beefs you have with us, cuz." That was a good idea, even Keiko might have to admit.

"Let's ride, cuz." The Steel trainer said to Keiko as he began to walk off, both grunts now shouting angrily, regardless of the Sweet Scent's effects.

"Don't worry about them, cuz." Toren said as they continued along the path, he could see the beginnings of Mauville City over the horizon. "Those two in particular may not have been up to any villainy but you can be crazy certain yo that them Aqua wacks are out there up to something harsh. Those two were probably just waiting for the real action to start, yo, or maybe they were look outs. Either way we better get our eyes peeled cuz for anymore Aqua punks. Ya dig?" Man his 'lingo' was over the top some times, did Keiko even understand that? Not even the author did.

The two would soon be standing in front of the gateway to cutting edge city of Mauville. The old city was torn down and replaced with what could only be described as a massive mall, the entire city one giant complex. It was weird calling it a city since it was just one big building but then again words like 'big' and 'giant' or even 'massive' didn't do justice to the size of this monstrosity. Toren couldn't imagine a building bigger than this existing anywhere in the world, and if there was one he would like to see it.

"Man, Mauville City certainly has changed in just a few short years. Ever been here, cuz?" Toren asked as they walked towards the city's entrance, passing through crowds of people come in and out of Hoenn's hub city.

As the pair walked in they would be greeted to comfort of industrial grade air conditioning and shops as far as the eye could see. There were hundreds, maybe even thousands of people just on this floor as far as Toren could tell, kind of made him feel claustrophobic. "So, wanna check out any of the shops, cuz?" He asked Keiko.

"Good point cuz." Toren said with a nod. "I think I see a cafeteria over there, let's check it out." With that said the trainer grabbed Keiko's hand and pulled her into the establishment dubbed 'Mauville Food Court', according to the sign.

Toren would move up to the counter, which was surprising considering how many people were in her, must just be lucky there wasn't a line. The man would look over the menu and turn to Keiko. "What do you want to try?" He asked her as he pointed a thumb at the menu which listed the following:

Village Sub Combo

Magnemite Croquette

Mauville Ramen Bowl

Toren just watched as Rala popped out of existence, the man wondering what the sudden hurry was all about. Oh well, he had food to get. The former Snagem would order a Village Sub Combo for Keiko and himself a Mauville Ramen Bowl. After giving their orders the two were hang around the counter for a bit as they waited for their food.

"Any idea where she went, cuz?" He asked, referring to Rala.

"Well that answers that question, yo." Toren said with a smile.

Before long the two humans of the trio would receive their orders; a sub sandwich for Keiko and a big bowl of ramen noodles for Toren. The male would carry the tray for them to a nice little table in front of a window, here they would have a view of the city's outside square.

"Well now I know where we're going next, cuz." Toren said as he pointed to the the Pokemon Center outside the window.
