Odd dropped to the floor like a sack of berries when the vine holding him aloft, inverted from the normal way of things, was destroyed by his allies' help. Unfortunately, that resulted in a fairly hard blow to the head before he could really think. His body didn't have enough time to realize he was freed from a grasp he couldn't phase through in order to protect him and he ended up knocked out cold for a few minutes, during which time chaos ensued. When he finally woke up again, shaking his head and trying to clear the cobwebs from his brain, he realized little had changed in the way of putting a stop to all this. "Entr'Acte! Chorale!" Recalling his Pokemon, he returned the Froslass to her Pokeball and held Entr'Acte in his hand, the Pokemon's ribbon coiling around his arm, surprisingly harmlessly for the moment.
The strange part of it was that the Honedge's sheath was being held to the Channeler's other arm with it's ribbon, allowing Odd to wield it like a shield. "No one's getting anywhere and Jack's the only one of us who thinks he can make progress..." He told himself before darting toward whoever was holding it now. He didn't recognize Sihlo but regardless, he ran at full sprint towards her, grabbed Jack's lantern and then charged directly toward the Trevenant attacking them.
Allowing Entr'Acte to guide his hand when he couldn't see something coming, he and the sword Pokemon made their way toward Trevenant, hacking and slashing at it's roots with Shadow Claw and Night Slash whenever they were attacked. With everything going on right now, he hoped the tree was distracted enough to get in close. Should he succeed, he'd thrust Jack's lantern at the tree's singular eye, blocking it's view of most of the world beyond it in an attempt to force it's focus onto Jack when he spoke to it.

Rein and his Pokemon's efforts would finally put down the formerly Toucannon looking automaton, the metal 'skeleton' collapsing into a pile of scrap as it finally succumbed to the damage it had received. All that was left was a flaming pile of metal.
Connor's Chimchar would make quick work of the animated Stufful doll, sometimes good ole fashioned slicing and dicing was enough to put down a zombie doll from hell. While that nuisance was taken care of another would present its self as Connor would soon become aware of a certain mossy and much bigger 'Stufful' with a friend inside.
While Crystal's Psychic focus on one part of the suit seemed to be holding back the new growth in that one spot it didn't seem to hinder the possessed moss suit any further, at least not yet.
The suit would ignore the Mimikyu for now, appearing to have little interest in it in the first place, only attacking before it get it away. The haze didn't seem to bother it either as it didn't need sight to 'see' in the first place, evident by the fact that the 'eyes' they could see were actually Rhyme's.
The mossy mass which resembled a giant bipedal Stufful would target Connor this time, once again utilizing Rhyme's Spark attack though this time by picking up the charred remains of the Raichu head, charging it up with Spark, and beaming it at Connor, using that mostly as a distraction as the suit would then rush Connor and attempt to pin him on the ground. If successful some of the moss would begin to expand from the hands and onto Connor. It was trying to entrap him too, hopefully Connor or someone else stopped it before he fell victim as well.

"Wait, what?" Jack said with a surprised tone, as if the idea of these guys taking out his tree friend on their own never crossed his mind. "No! You can't! Trust me, it's sui-" The lantern's prisoner would not finish his sentence as Odd snatched up the lantern and ran off for the giant Trevenant in the room.
The undead plant would try its hardest to stop Odd, root after root coming at him but each assault was in vain as Odd dodged and hacked his way through. Just when a root coming up from behind Odd was about to snatch him up did the Ghost Channeler get Jack's lantern into the tree's sight, the lantern's prisoner promptly speaking to the tree in some sort of unintelligible gibberish. Maybe it was a dead language or perhaps the language of the dead? Even Odd couldn't understand it (yet).
As Jack spot to the Trevenant the wild roots would calm down, one by one retreating as the big tree calmed down. Looks like Jack did something right. "See! I told you!" Jack exclaimed to Odd as the giant tree letting a moan, its rage coming back down. Though while the tree was no longer harming them Rhyme and company still had to deal with the possessed moss it summoned but for now Odd, Night, and Darts probably had questions for this tree, more importantly where it came from, how it got here, and why it wanted them dead.

Connor would succeed in stopping the moss suit possessed Rhyme from actually making contact with him, the Ember attack providing enough of a distraction for the trainer to utilize his staff as a wedge between them. The mossy mass wouldn't have a chance to try again as the Murkrow bound it in place with a Quash attack, the dark energy restricting it. If that wasn't enough a flurry of otherworldly critters would swarm the moss suit to keep it in place, the bugs eating away at the moss though the substance grew back as quick as it consumed it, the bugs mostly proving to be a distraction for what Crystal and her Pokemon were about to do.
Utilizing her and her Pokemon's psychic powers, the Espeon hybrid and team would focus on the open hole in the suit and gradually push and pull against the seams. At first it was slow going, the hole only barely expanding every few seconds. The longer it went on the easier it became as the suit seemed to weaken and from what Crystal could feel it was not just because of their efforts but also because Rhyme was fighting, the Psychic woman sensing the woman on the inside's emotions.
With that Crystal would be inspired to fight harder, just as Rhyme was. Together with all their might they would push against the moss, the hole rapidly expanding and the mossy mass being pushed away. Eventually Crystal would get it to a point where the moss would gather into two points, a wad mostly on her left shoulder and another on her right hand. All they had to do now was snatch it off and the moss seemed to know this as the substance was trying to make one last effort to fight back as Crystal and her Pokemon felt a surge of resistance. Now was their chance to end this.

Odd was surprised that Jacka ctually succeeded. He'd honestly expected to die before he made it through all that, even with Entr'Acte's help. Luckily for him, once Jack talked the Trevenant down(he'd only caught about two words of the whole conversation but even hearing the words didn't make any sense to him). With Trevenant stopped, he breathed a heavy sigh of relief.
Then, of course, his focus was turned to what the others were contending with. Witnessing Crystal and her team setting Rhyme free, along with the others fighting off any other creatures created by the strange moss, he offered what help he could. Summoning Guardian Halos around the gatherings of moss on Rhyme's body, he attempted to bind the possessed plant-life in place with them. Once Rhyme was free, the moss could be burned away without being able to escape somehow. He wasn't 100% certain it couldn't move on it's own so better safe than sorry, after all.

As her teammates began the process of removing the moss, she noticed that the behavior and the emotions she got off the creature possessing her began to change. And it was that behavior it was changing to that made Rhyme's fear begin to fade.
W-what are they doing...?? Don't they k-know you need friends?? They've taken away all my friends, a-and they're going to take you away from me too...
Rhyme notices the voice has lost the tone it had before. It sounds younger, it sounds...more like a child, a scared one. The Pachirisu hybrid takes a deep breath, and reaches out to the voice.
"Hey....Shhhhh....was all you wanted friends this whole time?"
Uh huh. A-and now I won't have any when the moss goes away...!
Rhyme remembers being friendless, back when her only friend in the world was her big brother, and gosh she misses him so much...
"What...would happen if we made a promise, hm?"
Promise?
"Yea. If we can find each other again, lets be proper friends, okay?"
You really mean it?? Even when I was really...really bad to you?
"Of course. Sometimes when we really want something we do...some really silly things. Don't worry, little one...."
There's a few sniffles, and it seems that the spirit has been calmed by the hybrid's logic. And Rhyme closes her eyes, waiting while being restrained to get the last of the moss off.
'Trust me, okay?'
...Okay...
