Blizzard120 "Sub, whatever this thing you're wanting us to get, I assume its waterproof, right?" I asked. "Yea, we ended up taking the canal route to get in here." Freth said. Walrien roared out a bit in protest, which Sub might hear as background noise. "Yea, that's also a good point. How big is this thing, anyways?" "...hm, water resistant certainly just uh...try not to drop it I guess. It's a little smaller than a computer tower, you should be able to carry it just fine. That said you are certainly going to have to blast open a few doors and jump down a shaft or two. There is no power to the place after all." Sub pointed out.

"Yea, kind of figured. Alright, we'll call when we get out of here." I said. The transmission would end soon enough and Freth would recall her Walrien for the time being. Let's go."
The two of us started our way through the abandoned headquarters and...got to say, its quite something else when the lights are off. Kind of unsettling, especially when put into context the last days of this place. Freth stared at me for a second as she noticed me musing for a bit as we made our way down the corridors. "...what's wrong?"
"I called it."
"Blizzard!" she punches me right in the shoulder. "Seriously!? You've been keeping that bottled up the entire time!? Wow...just. Wow." She stomps off ahead of me rather frustratingly, a bit too miffed for words.
"...well, I did." I gave a shrug as I just followed along.

The corridors were of course very dark, eventually pitch black. Blizzard and Freth would not be able to see a thing and while to a normal person the darkness might cause their adrenaline to spike, hybrids had a 'sixth' sense that they used instead for such situations, just like Pokemon. Something would trip the two Articuno hybrids' 'hybrid senses', something in the darkness ahead. It was very difficult to make what it was in any way or its intentions, all that they could discern that something was there and clearly it shouldn't be. The pair could hear the sound of something fluttering and what seemed like the faint sound of someone talking but it was near impossible to make out what it was. Was someone in here? Clearly they didn't know the hybrids were here yet so that was a good thing.

The two of us perked up, however, once something tripped our senses. We killed the ice beam charges and crept down the corridor. We weren't sure what was going on...nothing should be down here. There was noise...voices, perhaps? Pokemon? Human? "........." We silently crept down, and once we were close, once again we lit up Ice Beams, only this time, this wasn't meant for any light, it was a threat, a beam ready to fire to any unfortunate victim should they be hostile. "Who's there!?" I shouted as Freth and I waited for our proverbial excuse to unleash a frozen hell.

"Nemore!" "Mevernore!" The last squawked would probably give the hybrids a realization of what they were dealing with but also gave more questions. They wouldn't have to ponder for too long if that was exactly what it thought it was as a flock of squawking Murkrow came racing out of the darkness and flew right past them, a couple almost slamming into the hybrids if they didn't get out of the way.

The two of us went wide-eyed as the massive flock of Murkrow started coming after us. "Holy hell!" I shouted. "Back up!" Freth shouted. The two of us went back the way we came and turned a corner, leaving the Murkrow to fly off unabaited. Once the sudden adrenaline rush went off and we finally could bring a little calm into the situation, there was only one question the both of us had. "How in God's name did a bunch of Murkrow get down here!?" I said. "You're asking me!?" Freth asked. "For as all we know, Sub left them down here!" "He had that many Murkrow!?" I asked. "I wouldn't put it past him!" "AND HE'D ABANDON THEM LIKE THIS!?" "OKAY PROBABLY NOT!" I simply threw my hands up, more than ready to wash this mystery off our hands. "Whatever. Fine. Just...come on..."

Blizzard120 I simply threw my hands up, more than ready to wash this mystery off our hands. "Whatever. Fine. Just...come on..." With the way now lit up the hybrids would make it deeper inside, up a gradual slope and finally arriving at their first obstacle, a steel wall which acted as a door to seal off the hidden entrance to anyone who shouldn't have found it. If either one of them recalled the walls and doors of the HQ were reinforced with Steel Gem as well as Dark Gem to prevent any Psychic or Ghost intruders and without the power on their was no way to open it up nor teleport in or pass through spectral means. The only choice was to blast it open.

The two of us made our way down and found our first set of doors. Freth gave it a small kick, just out of checking to see how dense it sounded. A very low gong like sound, didn't even so much as shift. This...was going to take a little something high grade. "...hmm...well, any ideas?"
"Back up. Let me take a shot at this." I said. Freth backed away from the door. I gave a motion of the arms and icicles shot up, driving themselves right into the door. "Let's see how well it takes Ancientpower." I said, giving a clinch of the fist and detonating the attack. A loud boom would rock the doors, but...was that all for show, though?

The force of the explosive attack would wash over the doors, causing them to tremble and moan. Once all was done and said the pair of hybrids would see that the door was indeed damaged, a hole forced between the two, far up in the middle and too small for either of them to climb through. Perhaps they could send a smaller Pokemon in or use the opening as a focal point to force it the rest of the way open.

"Look, you know how my Ancientpower works, it's not like I want to kill myself with it." I said. "Well, maybe we can get one of our Pokemon in there. Mine won't fit in that." "Let me think..." I started to recall the Pokemon I had on hand. "Maybe Rotom?" "What's Rotom going to do? Shock the doors open? We should have done that before trying to blow the doors open. The door is sure not to work now." "...oi...look, heat of the moment and crap like that, alright? Come on. I guess since we got a spot, is there a spot we can grab...wait, yea. Freth, grab that side, I'll grab this side." She took a position. "Pull out on on three. One. Two. Three." The two of us made a hard pull to pry the door open; hoping hybrid strength would be enough to finish the job.

At first it seemed as if the doors wouldn't budge, no matter how much force they applied. After what seemed like an eternity of futility something sounded like it snapped inside the walls, the extreme force the two were applying proving to be far too much now as the doors flung open and sent the two flying with them. The way forward was open but at what cost to their bones?

Regardless, once the door gave way the two of us fell back wards, hitting the floor. "There we go." I said wearily. "...if there's another door, use Rotom. Okay?" Freth said. "Noted."

With the door open the pair would be greeted with just the rest of the hallway stretching out in front of them. After an uneventful walk deeper in they would come up to their next problem, the elevator. The cylinder which bulged out of the wall at the end of the hallway stood there, dark and lifeless as ever. The keypad on the front to the right was no longer lit up and pressing things on it would do not. There was no brute forcing their way with the elevator, beside maybe getting inside, provided the car is even on this floor. No, they would need to be a little more clever.

Once we arrived at the doors to the elevator, we were resigned to the fact that we weren't going to be riding this thing. "Alright..." "Rotom." Freth chimed in. "Yea, yea, I know." I looked around, taking note to the panel nearby for the operation of the lift. I smashed my fist right into it to bend the metal covering it and ripped the plate off, pulling out the wires soon afterwards. I then took out a Pokeball. "Rotom, come out." I said, tossing the ball a little ways out. In a flash, the electric ghost came out with a happy squeal. "Hey Rotom, we need your help for a second. Careful not to shock me, but we need you to get this door powered. Just give us a little jolt here to at least get the doors open. Alright?" "Rotom!" The Rotom discharged a fair bit of power, making me jerk back hard and dropping the wires. "I SAID A LITTLE! EASY THERE, ROTOM! OW!" "Rotom?" "Ugh...never...mind...just...a little control, alright? Now, just a little jolt." The Rotom floated back close to me and started to put power through the wires. Only to not get a response out of the doors. "Not them? Alright, lets try...this one..." It took a minute until there was a thud sound within the doors, as if the latching mechanism finally opened up. "Freth." "Yea." Freth went over to the door and managed to wedge her fingers in the crack in the center of the door then pulled the door open. "Where's the lift?" I asked. Freth lit up her own Ice Beam then looked about what was before her.

Blizzard120 "Where's the lift?" I asked. Freth lit up her own Ice Beam then looked about what was before her. Freth would spot the lift upon looking up, finding it not too far above them, stuck between this floor and the next. Placing it between floors was probably intentional upon complete shutdown so that no one could board it. Though now that they knew where the lift was what would they do?
