The entire room is pretty dang creepy looking, the only two things grabbing Pew Pew’s interest were the cabinet and the door out. After debating with himself for a few moments he decides to E. See what's inside the cabinet.

"AAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGHH!!!!!!" was all that came out of Kelvin's mouth as he tumbled downwards into the darkness. His fall, luckily was cushioned with lots of dirty rags and other smelly linen. He had zero interest to wonder who had worn them..It was just disgusting..

In this new area, though, he'd noticed that others fell down with him too. As if the previous location wasn't creepy enough, this one was even more morbid. All of his eyes checked out the new environment and he couldn't help but sigh out loud. He sort of regretted not running up to the second floor. The basement areas always gave him the spooks.

Kelvin was calculating his odds of survival in this room now. If some scary s**t was going to charge at him from any one of those possible hiding spots, he will need something to defend himself with. The mutant wolf quickly ran towards the wall to try and find the sharpest, and easiest, slash and wield weapon he could grab.

      C. See if there's anything on the far side of the room, where you can't currently see.

Remix was all about mysteries... but not ones that hissed at you. He rather check out the far side of the room around the vent than acknowledge the sound from inside the damned metal box.

The shelf was less than impressive, filled with the mundane. Some sheet music, replacement string, instrument cleaner. The sorts of things that you'd expect to find in a music room.

There was also a modern water bottle, probably left behind by one of the workers. It was more reassuring than Rokki would like to admit, the fact that this was clearly a stage, that it wasn't really a haunted house filled with spirits. He hadn't even run into anything scary, and his nerves were already on edge.

Everything except for the waterbottle was dusty, though the metronome looked as if it had been touched. Either the person working in the room liked the sound, or played one of the instruments, or there was something interesting about it.

He should take a closer look.

Jack looks around at what little room there was once through the door. He never would've guessed by the spaces between the doors that the interior would be so cramped. At least there was no chance of someone sneaking up on him in somewhere this small. The cases of bottles made him question if this was suppose to be some sort of storage room. From what he can see there is not much else in the cabinets worth noting. Aside from ammo to fend off "monsters" carrying around those bottles wouldn't do him any good. The only flat surface was piled high with papers. A potential avalanche waiting to happen if you asked him. It was a desk though so maybe it had drawers with something useful in them? A sudden flicker of darkness threw him onto his toes. Was there someone else in this room with him? How could there be? He noted a cabinet was slightly ajar. He couldn't recall if it had been previously, but the door was not in motion as if it had been moved so perhaps he was just imagining things. But what if he wasn't and the ajar cabinet was a secret passage way! Jack found himself acting a tad bit paranoid. Every fiber of his body told him to go check on the opened cabinet. He didn't even care about the other door in the room. Ultimately he decides to C. investigate the desk. Still a little uncertain he walks towards the desk inspecting for any drawers or useful things buried under the stacks of papers. He tried his best to keep an eye on the infamous cabinet. If something was going to jump him from a secret tunnel he wanted to see it coming for him head on. However he couldn't really search with one eye in the opposite direction so he turned his attention back to the desk and quickly scavenged for anything he could use.

That trail is too tempting a possibility for you, so you follow the worn path with some amount of curiosity. It leads between the bookshelves, far into the back of the room, and seems to end at ... a wall? More specifically, a painting hung between the shelves - a large one, starting at about your knee level and stretching up over your head. That itself isn't particularly notable, as there is plenty of space for it, and it does seem to be a good decoration, but there's nothing else here. You bend down, sweeping at the ground, but to no avail - no hidden trap doors or anything of that sort here!

Convinced that there must be something more here, you step back, taking in the scene once more. The bookshelves stretch high above your head, though you can definitely reach several tiers up. On your right, there seem to be historical, non-fiction books. On your left, at least judging from the titles, there seem to be horror books. And of course, there is the painting ahead - a large, surprisingly out of place image of a pastoral field and cabin at night, set into a heavy, wooden frame.

You decide to:
A. Go back the way you came, it's clearly a red herring.
B. Check out the painting, see if you can move it.
C. Investigate the historical books.
D. Investigate the horror books.

You cautiously creep towards the far side of the room, opting to make sure that your surroundings are safe rather than start rooting around immediately. You pass the shelves slowly, glancing between for any sign of movement, though you see none. The closer you get to the darkness at the end of the room, the more the back of your neck tingles in anticipation.

When you get there, however, it's almost ... disappointing? It seems there's nothing there but a large grate on the floor, seemingly for draining, and an even darker hallway - or alcove, you can't really tell, as there's no lights. You can see some liquid pooled around the grate, and as you stand and listen for a second, you can hear something moving around underneath it. A testing touch reveals the metal is quite loose, not bolted in place in any way, though you can't see what's down there, either. The sound below is some form of wet, crunching noise, though, you're fairly certain.

Do you:
A. Venture further into the darkness.
B. See if you can pull up the grate and see what's down there.
C. Go back where you came from.

With everything else as odd as it is here, you decide that the vent can't really be any stranger than anything else. You approach it, ignoring the shelves and their various goods in favor of seeing what that rattling noise is. It grows louder as you come nearer, and continues as you grasp the slats of the cover and jerk at it. It resists, though you can tell it isn't bolted down, and you give another rough tug; the rattling suddenly stops as the grate pops free, though you don't see why until after you've stumbled backward from the force of the pull.

A small key pops loose, apparently having been trapped inside of the airway. There is a small, blue ribbon tied to it, though there aren't any other identifying marks that you can see; you pocket the thing, for now, seeing as there doesn't appear to be any other use for it at the moment.

You turn your attention then to the vent itself, crouching down to examine it. The passageway isn't as dark as you'd have imagined - in fact, you're pretty sure you can see some light in the distance, and it doesn't look nearly as dirty as you'd have expected, either. In a fit of genius, you realize that it's more than large enough for your size. It's obvious that someone was intended to find the key, but actually crawling into the vent ...

Do you:
A. Say to hell with it, and get into that crawlspace!
B. Decide no way, that's definitely not safe, and go back to investigating the room.

The rack of instruments on the wall catches your interest, and you decide to have a closer look at them. You shuffle around the 'furniture' after picking yourself up and dusting off, and you tilt your gaze to examine them.

There are more things than you initially thought here - four different kinds of whips, several locks and cuffs, a number of knives ... In morbid curiosity, you reach out and touch one of the blades, though after a slight tapping you are relieved to discover that they are actually only painted silicone. Still, that doesn't alleviate the creepy vibe of the rack, particularly when taking into consideration the scent of the room and the stains splattered over seemingly everything in some way.

You attempt to remove a couple of the items, but find that they are securely bolted in place. Disappointed, you reach for one last one, just to see - only to find that this one does move, pulling away quite easily. Only too late do you realize that it's attached to something - when the trap springs from the wall and a soft rope snags around your wrist.

Caught by surprise, you struggle to pull free, but to no avail. You turn to yell for help, yet you're caught off guard by the appearance of a strange shadow in the corner; your panic increases, and you strive in vain to break free from the wall as the hooded figure begins to approach you. Something bright glints in its hand, and reason leaves you in favor of fear as it draw nearer, nearer, raising its hand to --

-- unlock the trap that caught you. It pulls back the hood, revealing a grinning cat beneath. They explain that you've been caught and lost the game, then show you to the secret staff corridor that they popped out of in the first place.

DEAD END

The cabinet catches your eye, and perhaps more importantly is less threatening than your other options. You make your way over to it, looking the unassuming furniture over. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be too much in the way of interest here - it really is just a closed cabinet, a foot or so taller than you with full length doors. You try the handle, though it appears to be stuck, and you see no visible way of unlocking it.

You take some time to examine the object, checking it over on both sides, and you notice that it is oddly quite flush with the wall. In fact, you can't seem to move it, either, and it isn't just in a 'very heavy' sort of way. You'd almost swear that the cabinet was part of the wall itself! Pondering on this mystery, you take a closer look at the front, this time running your hand along the smooth surface.

Hidden along the smooth metal of the door, you actually find a small latch! Feeling quite proud of yourself, you manage to pry it open, only to find a small slot within. With dismay, you realize you aren't going to get the cabinet doors open this way ... Maybe there's a key somewhere around, but where should you look for it?

Do you:
A. Check around the sink and counter.
B. Check inside the sarcophagus/iron maiden.
C. Check the drain in the middle of the room.
D. Dig through the cloth pile.
E. Forget this nonsense and leave the room.

Finding the other objects uninteresting, you take a look at the metronome, clearly touched recently as it has been. It looks fairly plain, made of some cheap wood and plastic. Upon closer examination, however, you do realize it has some amount of wear on it and, as previously surmised, lacks the dust that has settled on the rest of the bits and bobs.

You spend a few moments checking over it, as well as the cork nearby. You find nothing special about the latter, but the former you soon realize seems to be built into the shelf! Though you can't find anything else unusual about it, that certainly is noteworthy, isn't it? As part of your investigation, you pull at the handle of the metronome, and you are surprised as you are treated not to a rhythmic tick, but a soft scraping as the shelf shudders, then slides towards you!

You step back, getting out of the shelf's - or door's - way as it slides open. A clean, if not sterile, scent hits your nose as your eyes adjust to the flicker of fluorescent light above. Before you is a long hallway, brightly lit and solid white on walls and floor alike. As you step forward into the newly revealed hallway, the hidden door slams shut behind you - leaving you no way to return!

It seems you have no choice but to venture forth, yet shortly the hallway splits into a T-intersection with a black door to either side. The question is, which way do you want to go?

Do you go:
A. Right.
B. Left
