I say it "Guy-ah," as do 90% of other people on this site. However, my sister still refers to it as "Gig-ah." And no, that's not a typo.

I pronounce it "guy-ah" and I for one am not sure if it comes from the greek mother goddess. Though they are spelled and pronounced similarly, the greek goddess is Gaea, not Gaia. Gaea is pronounced "gay-ah", not "guy-ah". I just had to point that out.

Yami no Hitokiri It's pronounced Guy-ah. Gaia means Earth. We get our word "geography" from it. Really? Didn't know that xd I suck at it... Might be the reason. I pronounce it Guy-ah anyhow. Sort of because in Japanese, the 'Gai' is pronounced 'Guy' and the last 'a' is pronounced 'ah' so I say Guy-ah.

I pronounce "Gaia" as "guy-uh" since that's what my friends said before I joined. Maybe someone should ask the administration?

Gaa-yah. Because that's pretty much how it was pronounced in the original Greek as well.

I know its Guy-a, but for years I pronouced it GAY-a. I had my boyfriend sign up here recently and he calls it Guy-a so I've slowly been trying to force myself to say it the "right" way.

At first, I had pronounced it "GAY uh", and then someone pointed out my mistake so I haven't pronounced it like that since.
