This is really random.

But do asexual people masturbate? o_O;

Depends on the person, really. I, personally, do not. I really don't have the desire to do so. Some asexuals will have those feelings and just want to get them out of the way, so they'll masturbate then.

Also, ever since this was stuck up here (kudos to Arty on that, again!) I've gone, "Oh, ok, so that's the word for it. Gender Queer." But! There's another name for it that I find much better and accurate (plus it sounds cool). Androgyne! (As in Androgynous.) Just a little addon note for yous guys! Peace.
thanks for giving me an update Vorpal ^^-

i'm trying to make sure that i have a good list of sexualities that isn't confusing..... simple definitions of the sexualities is really nice >.>' but still can be confusing... especially when you try to brief over it in wikipedia....>.>' so if people want to make sure i have them correct, say yay! and if they think i need to correct something, say nay! and help me correct it?
or even add more sexualities that i'm not aware of? >.>'

Heterosexual - attracted to the opposite gender
Homosexual - attracted to the same gender
Bisexual - attraction to both males and females
Pansexual - attracted to all genders and sexes
Transsexual - when gender identity doesn’t match assigned gender; an umbrella term used to describe drag-kings, drag-queens, cross-dressers, etc.
Cross-dresser - dresses as the opposite gender and may identify as transgender, possibly for sexual gratification
Transvestite - dresses like the opposite gender, possibly for emotional gratification
Trisexual - attraction in men, women and a third party [oneself, animals, or vegetables]
Asexual - having no sexual desire or activity
Autosexual - attraction to oneself
Metrosexual - a male who has a strong aesthetic sense and spends a great deal of time and money on his appearance and lifestyle
Transgender - someone whose gender is surgically changed
New Half - born as one gender, but has gone through surgery and are now both
Gender Queer/Androgyne - identifies as either both genders or neither
now that i know some pretty good definitions i now know im Heterosexual

I'm an old school dyke and I might have some others that you might be interested... depending on how deep into the lesbian community you want to get you can come across alot more labels then you would beleive. I only know the lesbian stuff, sorry.

Butch/Femme - A lesbian relationship where one of the couple if masuline and takes on the male role while the Femme takes on the female role. There are alot of people who hold so strictly to these dynamic that they don't consider themselves lesbians even and some Butch woman consider being butch as a third gender even and go by male pronouns of "Hy & Hym"
Boi - A girl who dresses and acts boyish, but does not intend to be male.
f** Boi - a girl who takes male hormones to gain facial hair in order to look more male, but has no interest in being male.

Also one more for gender issues is Intersex - A person who is born both sexes and sometimes doctors remove one of the genitals to make them one sex or the other. This is not like a hermaphrodite because Hermaphrodites are supposed to have both working sexual organs and an Intersex ends up with a combination of the two. They have been trying to move away from the term Hermaphrodite because of the negitive image people have of them. There are 60 veriants of intersex, including some that just have high levels of both hormones in their system.
She Male - A MtF who gets top surgery and then stops with the transition, meaning they have breast implants and that is it. The term has also been known to be used for an MtF sex worker.

That is all I can think of right now. I'll post more if you wish.

Boi Dyke Kat - Means I'm a boiish girl who is only interested in girls.

More for you. I talked with my wife and tried to think of some gay male terms and recalled one that I've heard alot.

Bear - Gay male who is attracted to big hairy men.

Then there is one that is a culture for any sexuality. It is more of a fetish so I'm not sure if you are going in this direction.

Leather - person who has a leather and/or latex. Also part of the BDSM community.

I'll toss more out as we remember them. 13 years in the gay community you learn alot of terms. It is just a matter of remembering them all.

jaa ne and glad to be of help.

Umm...this is a little off a "bear" is a generaly large (eighter heavy set, tall, musculer or any combination of the above) and is also hairy.

There are also terms with in the bear community like "daddy bear", older, and "cub", younger.

A person that is attracted to big hairy men could be a bear but if neither large nor hairy he is called an admirer.

I'm a bear w00t bear pride

*grins* Glad to be of servise. Guess it is good to have an old dyke around at times.

Oh, here is a huge list of terms that my wife found online if you are interested: http://www.qnet.org.au/content/faqs_and_articles/glossary/

Twack - sorry about that. As I said I'm a big dyke and was just trying to think of some gay male culture, but i don't know very much considering I have not spent much time around many gay men. I just know this one guy who is the head of the Bears group in Toronto. I did not know who he was but he knew me from my stories and kept calling out to me during Pride one year. Rather friendly for such a big scary looking guy. I remember being terrified as this guy tried to hug me at a gay store when I first ran into him. Hard to beleive he would be interested in a writer of lesbian fiction, but alright.

Anyways, Sorry to ramble.

whoa whoa whoa... Kat, you write? I want to read one of your books! I recently read "Keeping You a Secret" by a local author, and well, since the gay community isn't that big here in Colorado, I can't just waltz into a bookstore and go to the "Gay" section.

Yeah, I'm a writer and artist. Drew a shoujo-ai manga for five years and been writing novels for the past five. Finished 4 novels to date and working on 6 more projects. As we speak I'm nearing the ending of a new short triller story. I've converted my entire shoujo-ai manga series into a set of novels and just last month finished the second book. Should be started the 3rd soon enough. Most of my stories are lesbian drama/trillers. I've written horror and some rather unusual things as well. Also working on a set of erotica stories, most could not be posted on Gaia.

I'm not published for the very reason you mentioned. I got approached by a couple of agents claiming my works are worth publishing and even talked to a couple of publishers, but when I asked my wife about how she would get lesbian lit in her small town in Rhode Island and told me she would have to go to a porn shop or something like that. Two of my stories have been known to help gay youth with suicide and accepting who they are so I've decided to forego publishing and keep my stories online. That link to Shoujo-ai Canada in my sig is actually to my wife and my site. It hosts my art, writing, shoujo-ai reviews, art lessons and I've even opened it up for other writers, to help promote their works.

Anyways, Sorry to ramble on and on off topic like this.

I hope that link I posted eariler comes in handy for you.
