Ino being a medic is:
Lame. She's can kick butt with her family's jutsu
Awesome. She wasn't very good at fighting before anyway.
  I don't care about Ino.
I'm a loser and didn't read the spoiler warning.

Tsunade in the past expressed that each team should have a member with at least some medical ability. Now that she's hokage, it makes sense that more shinobi are at least getting minimal training. I doubt Ino's medical abilities are that great and it's definitely not the focus of her fighting style, but it's a useful skill to have. But I agree that it seems like a cop out. Shikamaru or Chouji could have been the ones to pick it up. I don't doubt that Hinata is going to be the obligatory medical member on her team because honestly she sucks at fighting anyway and she had those healing salves in the past. It also makes sense with the Byakugan and being able to see within the body to fix things. But with Tsunade and Rin other notable female healers, it's beginning to look like that's the only use that the kunoichi are getting.

Anyway, I'll eat my hat if Heather pulls out a first aid kit. neutral
I think Shikamaru was most likely. Captain Verd disagrees, but I'm certain Shikamaru's dad studies medicine. You'd think he would encourage his son to give it a try, but he's also a bigot. He might've said, "No, that's a woman's job." >O<;;

Either way, Ino is the most likely out of the three of them simply because of her rivalry with Sakura. Chouji could have but Chouji is the strength of their team.

I figured it was because medical nin DO need to be strong, but Chouji is stronger and slower. Medical nin have practical strength instead of bulk. Ino was probably the best build for it, though I'm not sure if Shikamaru has gotten any stronger. According to their statistics, I think he was stronger than Ino; though still pretty damn weak. I think he was the weakest of the guys. I could be wrong, though.

Statistically, Shikamaru is the best for it. But he relys on ninjutsu. Medical jutsu is usually for those who dominate in taijutsu; people like Lee, except not so extreme. Ino also does, but as we know, she either uses her ninjutsu or her taijutsu, which, compared to a lot of people, is fairly good. She just lacks in strength, but her speed is fantastic. But for all we know, nearly 3 years later, she could be far stronger than she was...

There are definately more female medical nin. That's just how it is, I guess.

Now, about Hinata; I hate to say it, but she's the most likely. MAYBE, MAYBE Neji. Definately not Lee, though. Hinata sucked at fighting. She had to be good enough to pass the Chuunin exam, somehow.

Don't you know? Shikamaru's too lazy! LOLOLOLZ. But I agree, with his father's background in medicine and the fact it probably takes a lot of chakra control to manipulate the shadows, Shikamaru probably would have been able to pick it up easily. But I think Ino's role in the team is better suited for it. Shikamaru is usually too involved with his strategery in battle and wouldn't have time to concentrate on other things if they got too messy. You wouldn't want him distracted. Ino is in a better position to hang back and fight when she needs to, but take care of the some small patch up healing work if the situation calls for it. And it is a valid point that she may have put herself up for the role when she found out Sakura was being mentored by Tsunade.

And Hinata. Yeah. Though we haven't seen her fight (fillers don't count) since she "changed", Kurenai mentioned that her weakness was missions. Her teammates are a lot more aggressive of fighters, and it fits with her sensitive side. 9_9 Okay, you know what? I don't like Hinata. Moving on.

Team Gai is the most difficult to predict. Obviously Lee cannot take the role with his inability to use chakra, leaving Heather or Neji to the job. Heather hasn't done anything remarkable, all her fights have been anime-only or with her team, which she's constantly overshadowed by. I believe that medical techniques would be far better suited for Neji, who has excellent chakra control and as I mentioned before, the Byakugan would be incredibly helpful for seeing internal damage. But since Heather really does nothing else, and she lacks a p***s, I can only assume Kishimoto will make her take the role instead.

Hahahahah... Yeah, not so much. Shikamaru just isn't the type. See, he can usually take a beating. Problem is, medical ninja can't. If they are even scratched, they may die. I don't remember why, though. We need some Naruto nerd to look that one up. As for concentration, what makes Shikamaru look so smart is that he is fully focused on everything. He notices all of it, so he could multi-task easily. I don't feel that is the issue.

I don't count the fillers, either. I just think it's safe to assume since she is now a chuunin. He strength rivals everyone else's. Wow, don't like her? That's new. Most people love her...

Yes. A band of ninja, sort of like Akatsuki but way weaker (just a set of bag guys), want to assasinate Naruto. They're obsessed with killing the Kyuubi because it threatens their power.

The leader finds a girl who recently lost her home. This girl is a shinobi. The leader convinces her that killing the kyuubi will be the only way to save the hundreds (if not thousands) of people who live in Konoha.

Chapter one: Starts with Naruto in the shower. It's chibi and funny, not porn. Then it switches to Ino watering flowers, and Shikamaru who was dragged in, reluctantly helping. Asuma pops in and notifies them they have a, "mission." This mission is to well... do his errands. He also tells them Chouji has caught the flu. As usual, they b***h about it.

The scene switches to this girl I told you about. It introduces her. Her name is Hikaru. She is seen sitting by a tree, dirty and tattered up (she'd been in the wilderness a while). The leader meets her. Tells her about the Kyuubi. VAGUELY describes Naruto. Says, "We need to kill..."

"...Uzumaki Naruto." In this panel, you see Naruto grinning big in the shower.

Hikaru heads for Konoha. Scene switches back to Ino and Shikamaru. Running... errands. sweatdrop Still bitching. Ino asks how many grams are in a pound. Both confused because they don't use the imperial system, they bonder over this. Suddenly, Shikamaru jumps, and pushes Ino. A ton of cans (or something) on a shelf (they're at a street market) falls. The cans sliced through the middle. Confused, they look around. Get back up and move on. "Let's just skip it" Ino suggests. Then this time, Shikamaru stops walking. Ino turns around, "What the hell? Why'd you..." She notices a cut on his cheek. He reaches for it. They freeze. Then Ino is cut on the right side; they both clearly see it. "s**t!" She yells, and they run towards the bridge (by Ino's shop), Ino behind Shikamaru. Then he stops suddenly, Hikaru in front of them hanging updown from the bridge. "Prepare to die..." She says. Both bewildered, they look at her wide-eyed. "...Kyuubi." She says, holding a blade to Shikamaru's chin. This is when the chase starts; she creates bunshin and heads for both of them. Yes, she is convinced he's Naruto.

I could tell you more but... It gets rather elaborate and violent. sweatdrop And Doujin, mind you. It's a comic, and no, there's no romance.

It's not like I haven't watched Doujinshis before, there are lots of them in the Naruto Websites (I currently watched 11 and formed part of a volume of them called Shinobi No Okite Gaiden)
What do you mean, "THIS"? DX I read as many doujins and fanfics as I could to be certain mine wasn't like theirs.

Besides, that's the first part. More details come in the second part. Which is probably what makes mine so unique. Besides, mine is violent. VERY. So that makes is special. Ino is sliced to ribbons, and Shikamaru breaks a leg and a few ribs. gonk Hikaru pushed him out of a tree (I got this idea because NO ONE ever falls out of trees... I thought it was about time it happened). Bone mending takes a long time, so Tsunade explains how this works. Mine has actual... FACTS in it. Cool stuff Kishimoto hasn't mentioned (according to true ninjutsu).

thanks for spoiling it to me... emo
I like fan-fics / theorys (you probably should know about that from the discussion in the other thread).
The one that I liked the most AND made me cry was ''Brothers'' (if you say you read all of the fanfics then you'll know which one is this).
I'm not saying yours is crap (as some fan-fics are), I liked the ''Intro'' if you let me call it that way, I want to read more of it 3nodding
LOL!! Sorry. I didn't know you had any interest.
But that's not the most shocking part. xd Actually, it is. Except for... well, I won't say. XD

ORLY? Yays. xD Yes, I plan to scan it. But I need to draw it, first. I'm still in the story boarding stage. I've been working on it for about a year. >.> (Started New Years)

The best of the lucks on that one, btw, whenever you finish your drawings (even if it is a sketch) would you pwese show it to me?

If members of the team are getting injured, chances are things are getting serious, and somebody like Shikamaru who leads the team attacks needs to be able to put his efforts into fighting back. That's why the captain of a ship isn't the doctor as well. When you're in a situation that's calling for both roles to be filled like a battle, you need more than one person filling those positions. I don't care how good of a multitasker Shikamaru is, he can't be keeping Chouji from dying and fighting off Akatsuki members at the same time.

I hate Hinata with the power of a thousand firey Hyuuga suns. Unpopular opinion. Oh well.

No no they don't call her Heather. Sorry. It's a habit now and I didn't even realize I was saying it. Sort of an inside joke mocking the fact that Tenten has no past/last name/relevance to the plot. No need to worry.

No, Shikamaru doesn't need his hands to fight. He needs chakra. Which since we've never been shown otherwise, it's safe to assume he doesn't have vast reserves of like Naruto or Gaara since nobody does. You seriously can't expect him to be healing somebody, which takes a large amount of chakra, control, and focus, and then split that attention with using his chakra to pull off a kage mane. He can't do both at once. I may be mistaken, but we've never seen any shinobi do more than one jutsu at once. And I doubt Shikamaru is the type to value his teammates so little that he would be splitting his chakra while healing them.

Why overload the poor kid? Healing is a very delicate practice that requires the full attention of anybody. Shikamaru's talents are best used elsewhere.

Please don't give me a lecture for something I already know. I know everything there probably is to know about him. Shikamaru has a low stamina, so either way, it would be bad for him. You don't need to correct me because I never said anything contrary. neutral I know his stats. His stamina is one of the lowest. Chakra = Stamina + Mental Energy.

You seriously... don't know me. I was putting it on the table. Didn't say I agreed with it. I like him the way he is, kaythx. Like I said, he doesn't need to split his attention. But nevermind, you obviously don't get it.

Yes. We have. Naruto does it often. Kage Bunshin and Rasengan.

Don't put words in my mouth. I never called Shikamaru a bad guy or said he would put his teammates at risk. I love the damn guy. mad

No, I don't know you. I don't see what that has to do with the discussion. You're getting off topic.

The fundamental difference between Naruto doing kage bunshin and rasengan at once is that there is two (or more) of him, and he has the Kyuubi to back up his chakra supply. Naruto himself tends to be the exception instead of the rule because of his special case.

As it is, while making Ino the medical nin of the team may seem like a cop out, she is the most suited for the position. Female or not. InoShikaCho in particular are a very balanced team that relies on each member taking a certain role to carry out planned formations. Since the planning and leadership role already goes to Shikamaru, and Chouji is the strength of the team, it is logical for Ino to take the healing position.

Not saying that Shikamaru doesn't have the capability to do healing, since I'm sure he could learn if he wanted. But in general, I don't think the "leader" of any team should be the one with healing abilities. If Shikamaru had a different role on his team, it would be possible, but he doesn't.

The Kyuubi is only backing up Naruto's chakra supply when Naruto is surrounded by red chakra.
Other than that that's just Naruto's pure stamina and high amount of chakra that enable him to do both the Kagebunshin and Rasengan.

Also when he's seen with the red eyes.

I disagree on the Kage Bunshin and Rasengan thing. He's not really performing two jutsus is he? I mean yes, he did perform Kge Bunshin to make a clone, but for rasengan he isn't really forming any other seals, he's just using the clone to rotate chakra in his hand until it becomes Rasengan... I might be wrong but that's just what I though sweatdrop

Yes. He has also performed three:

Kage Bunshin, Rasengan, and whatever... it's like Sexy no Jutsu except he turned into Sai.

Because you correct me even though I never said anything contrary. You assume what I say leads to something else when it doesn't.

You don't get it. Naruto is still the host of all the jutsu. xp

No duh. Tell me something I don't know. If she wasn't, Kishimoto wouldn't have made her that way. Period. No debate.

That's an opinion. Paladins are healers and are usually also the leaders of a team. So really, it's just everyone's tunnel vision. I play as a paladin often and still usually kick a**. Now, you say it's irrelevant, but it really isn't. Paladins do not use more than one "jutsu" at once, either.

Again, tell me something I don't know.
